    You definitely went way harder on the braille board against the wall than the other board. The last 3 kicks were weak sauce in comparison to smashing the braille

    Bought 1 for my daughter for a whopping $20 at local walmart
    FAR better than any other complete sold at walmart/kmart/target etc.
    Definitely not as nice as my baker/indy/spitfire setup, but
    absolutely amazing for a $20 beginner setup

    Perfectly performed review ..I just got new Indy bushings for about $8 direct from Independent. So if you caught one of these on Sale or Clearance, maybe marked down because "someone" tore the plastic wrap and skated it in Walmart? Say $30 with new bushings. Best deal ever for the money, specifically for parents on a budget and new younger and smaller skaters. My first board was a plastic onefooter banana in 1978, then a 200# Variflex ..then a Mcgill then a Roskopp.. Having a board of this quality from the beginning would have been amazing. Great review 🔨

      I’d agree new bushings, like soft bones bushings would make it a way better board. But hard bushings for the new kids I think it would be a good setup

    This is the best most thorough review I’ve seen of this board!! Definitely worth the 50 it’s way better than those standard crappy boards haha id like to see you swap the bushings out and see if that makes a difference with the trucks would be an interesting test!

      That was my second thought, my first was , try losening the trucks by quarters not halfs as ive been getting my kiddlet to experiment with the way he likes his trucks and we started off by doing it a quarter turn at a go untill he said go back to the last turn.
      He is just learing .
      He is not riding a braile board, he has got 2 of my handmedown decks, well a Frankenstein of bits of my old boards over the years with some new wheels, bearings, grip tape and bushings on one of the borads . One set up for street , the bushing was still good on that one.
      The other set up for park with good but old loved trucks but the bushings where dead. Got him some med Indies and he likes them.
      Then my second thought was , swap out the bushing to something of the same ABEC thats new and try that because he may just personally hate the hardness but new ones of another better brand of the same harness may not stick as bad or the same... they all need breaking in and that hardness is just not his vibe.
      Thats a personal preferences
      Then to stuck in his already broken in bushings and skate the trucks with the bushing he know he likes that are broken in .
      Then he can rate the board off that , the 1 mod he needs to make it rideable for him.... unless it needs more after that.
      1 thing i would have liked to see him do too was to take off the wheels to see if they put on speed rings and bearing spacers and seen him take the wraping off the board to see if they shrink wrapped just the deck leaving plastic under the all the hardwear or did they bolt everthing on , complety assembled then shrink wrapped it ... plastic under your trucks ... yeah pain in the ass.
      But 1 thing i just dont remember seeing was the hardware on the top ?
      Ill go back and look if they grip tape over the hardware?
      Beginners need to have that visual and i painted 1 of the hex nuts on the top of the decks for son to know the front end from the tail .
      I know some people like the clean look of grip tape over everything but beginners have to learn foot placement and seeing the hardware is the best way of knowing you are standing over your truck.

    i think the hard bushings may have been a conscious decision made by braille, remember its a beginner board and most beginners ride tighter trucks cause its easier to balance

    As for the instructions on the street, the idea is that they are beginner boards to learn and practice on not for all purpose street. They say that in their video. They even explained everything in their video and said it's not the best board but it's the best bored that Walmart would allow for the price. And it's holds up I buy these and hand them out to new skaters usually people just learning and they serve well and last but you don't ride them on the street in metropolitan areas because you can get hurt. That's obvious but if you don't put a disclaimer it could lead to a lawsuit cuz people are stupid

    Shoooooooot, I'd skate that if I could get it for sub $20. Just toss the trucks away and it would be legit. Seems much better quality than mini-logo boards, which are basically made out of sawdust. Also, my sk8mafia pro deck basically chipped apart at the nose the first day I started skating it, and I wasn't bashing it into the wall or anything, and my anti-hero did the same so.... a part of durability is definitely dependent on how you skate and how aggressive your style is imo..

    i had a 20 dollar walmart board when i was a teen some 20 years ago. the bearings were so terrible that as soon as you kicked off you lost all speed in a second. if it weren't for my older brother buying me non-shit bearings, i probably would have instantly given up. if i had this 50 dollarydoo board, then i would have been over the damn moon.

    its an actual maple board though, i remember back in the day, if you bought a skateboard at a toy store you'd end up with this really heavy fishtail shaped piece of wood with some cheap trucks and wheels attached to it, with the big piece of plastic attached to the bottom of the tail, which i guess functioned as some type of break? At least now the ones they sell are actually shaped like skate shop skateboards, i would think out of all the walmart skateboards they have now, the braille ones probably would be the better one out of the bunch.

    The grip is just one size crystal and cheaper glue and the wheels are the cheapest wheel they could get that’s still hard enough for skating. 3:33 Dude, the literal meaning of the abec rating speed. It determines how fast the bearing is able to spin without breaking. You'll probably never notice the difference when skateboarding, since the raring is ment for things that go way faster than you'll ever roll on a skateboard. But saying it has nothing to do with speed is either a lie or lack of knowledge.

    • @ParkSharks
      @ParkSharks  2 роки тому +1

      After doing some research on this topic after i did the video, I found out it's a precision rating. So, technically is could be related to speed, but not totally used as a speed rating.

    • @chrism4841
      @chrism4841 2 роки тому

      Nope the ABEC rating isn't skate specific it's a rating for the tolerances allowed when machining the ball bearings and races.
      The higher the rating the better the quality with 9 being the best. After that you get into the ceramic bearings which dissipate heat quicker making them longer lasting.

    Good review overall but I always find the wall test so silly. Every board I watch people review splits when the slam it head on full force into a solid wall lol. At the end of the day it's just wood and wood splits. and the plys reinforce the vertical axis of the board mostly, not the horizontal. Unless it's one of those "indestructible" boards, I'd bet most would start splitting or just smash fairly easily. and the control board was not a great comparison, that was like half the force.
