- A milestone was crossed today in 747 history as Korean Air took delivery of their first Boeing 747-8i HL7630. The aircraft moves out and starts its engines to make way for Incheon International Airport in this short film.

We recently travelled by this Aircraft from Incheon to San Francisco.Great Aircraft and Great Airline .
Beautiful B747-8i. Such a classic Boeing icon! Hope to see this aircraft flying to Sydney.
The undercarriage doors are pretty fancy. They form part of the under-belly during take-off, then accordion down and open to make way for the wheel assembly to retract, and then close around it. Beautiful.
My grandson will one day travel, in one of these, to visit his great-grandma in Korea! May God guide all these wonderful pilots!!

That's a beautiful Boeing 747. I have a Korean Air in this color & logo of a Boeing 727-200 by Gemini200, I love it which have had since 2014.
Love the fact "Sentimental Journey" the B-17, flew over at the exact same time! It was kind of fitting for the occasion not to mention they sure dont make them like that anymore!

+Peter Park You are wrong. The 747 will always have a beautiful appearance as it has been around longer than the A380. The problem with the A380 is that it looks as if it has a bubbled forehead because the cockpit is not positioned on top like the 747. The A380 actually looks ugly duckling.

The 747s and especially the 8i's are THE most beautiful plane in the skies. The A380 is obviously the biggest passenger plane but it looks like it has the aerodynamics of a Pizza Hut.

I'd love this airplane for ever. It is reminiscent of an important epoch in my life. At the end of the 70s early 80s through the late 90s I was a frequent traveler between Europe and Asia specially Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan. I have flown this aircraft business and first class with the major airlines in those destinations: Air France, Lufthansa, JAL, Cathay etc. I flew through Moskva and mostly through the polar route via Anchorage. The scenery of Anchorage with its many 747s and a few Dc 10s was fabulous. Every time I could choose I will fly the 747.
Such a gorgeous aircraft. I'm so thankful that Korean and Lufthansa are keeping the "Queen of the Skies" in the commercial passenger market, hopefully other airlines will follow. Great video!
