Video came at the right time, I just bought my fx30 (usings your Amazon Link) and have everything set up and will be filming my sons youth soccer game tomorrow and hopefully get some clients in the near future.
Wassup E! Thanks again for all these videos. Found you in May when I was just putting together my first camera setup and now I am finishing up the baseball season with a AA team, filming content for their Jumbotron and social media. Your effort does not go unnoticed! As far as gaining exposure, something I’ve tried recently is to connect with up and coming artists and get permission to use their music in my videos - not only does that help avoid copyright, but it allows the artist and I to collaborate with each other which works out for the both of us, giving us exposure from both of our fanbases. Would love to hear your opinion on this one!
Thanks for the inspirational talk but here in the US schools are getting harder to get into, only photographers and videographers with insurance and credentials are allowed in some fields, some schools are even asking for background check clearance to even set foot on the field . 🤷🏽♂️
What you describe is pretty standard in the rest of the world as well. For example, you need a working with children permit to do any type of work around minors in Australia. But I actually think these hurdles are good for you. Because they are hurdles that most videographers who are not too serious about a potential career won’t make the effort to go through. So if you do, it will be much easier to get hired because there won’t be many people doing what you do and with your level of access.
Yes but it makes sense. People are weirdos . And you never know what someone’s tru intentions are. The back checks etc etc make sense. But I completely understand . I’ve sent out over 30 emails to different coaches and athletic directors either they don’t respond or they tell you yes but forget you .
Then get a business license, insurance, and have the local police run a background check on you. If you won’t do any of those things you don’t deserve to be anywhere near a school.
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Great advice for beginners 🙌
