Even though people complain about Joker being once again at the center in Arkham Knight, I truly think he's never been as terrifying as he is in this game. I mean, the guy is 100% dead, and yet here he is, constantly haunting Batman, taunting him with jokes and fucked up lines, and threatening to take over his mind.
+The94Venom At least when Joker was alive, Batman could kick the shit out of him.
i mean, he wasnt the center of the knight story, he was just batmans conscience. The center was jason and scarecrow. anyone who said he thought he was the center again dhould play the other three and then compare because his role was mainly commentary after scenes
as to in the other three he was always plotted as the villian somehow.
+Myles Moore wasn't there a thing about his blood and ppl becoming jokers (I didn't play it)?
The last one yes but it wasn't the center of the story. The center of the story in the last one was scarecrow and arkham knight
Romero: Too silly
Nicholson: Pretty much perfect, just a little weak on the drama front
Ledger: Once again, pretty much perfect, just missing some of the lightheartedness
Leto: Angsty teen heartthrob mainstream pandering version, slightly above Romero
This Joker has everything. Intelligence, Maturity, intrigue, playfulness, yet undeniably deep. Hamill is unarguably the single greatest joker.
my god....you listed all the key factors of what makes this version of the joker greater than the others. thanks.

I totally agree! Mark really brought the true comic book version to life.
I agree with almost everything but I loved ceaser
2:39:00 the password being 0539 was amazing (May 1939, date of Batman's debut)
They pull that a lot
Rilly i didn't know that and I know a lot about batman probably its biggest fan 😅
To be honest Arkham asylum is a creepy game like it still kinda gives me a off putting feeling whenever I get to certain parts of the game
I'm with you on that one. Lol!
especially the scarecrow part where the game fucks up! I remember playing that part at like 2am scarred me for life
@@blissridden Same. I remember getting pissed that my game was glitching out and then I noticed the upside down bat signal
I wish the other arkham game’s maintained that creepiness
when I first knew Scarecrow’s the main antagonist in Arkham Knight . I got so excited ! little did I know , the game isn’t scary at all .
The ultimate irony of "Batman Arkham" story : Batman's fear is to lose control like Joker and breaking his one rule of "not killing", thus becoming Joker -- either in body or mind, or worse : both. The Joker's worst fear, in the other hand, is that for all of his insanity, the chaos he spread, the havoc he wrecked, for all his "hard work" he would be rewarded with total indifference, his actions -- by extension himself - being downgraded to that of a "simple criminal" like any others and being forgotten by the masses. Scarecrow's fear toxin, a very potent substance as it is, essentialy brings forth either of those two character's respective fears accordingly as they alternate control over.
Throughout Arkham Knight's story, Bruce's body is being constantly weakened due to the Titan's blood poisoning that flow through his body ; a poison to wich, for all his technology and knowledge, he has no cure to. His resolution gets weaker as his physical health is deteriorating, making the Joker subsequently stronger throughout the game (wich is seen as Joker's physical hallucination was horribly scarred in the beginning at Ace Chemicals but ended up being rejuvenated near the end), thus strengthening Batman's fear all along and making him very vulnerable to Scarecrow's fear toxin. Finnaly, as the latter manage to force Batman to surrender, as he is in a state of weakness never been seen before, Scarecrow's inject his fear toxin in him, cutting the final strings of control by wich Joker's persona was still hand in check - making Batman's worse fear essentially come true. However it is a very short win...
As the Joker wins over Batman, laughing at Scarecrow for unintentionally granting him victory over Batman's body, Scarecrow himself is shocked to see Batman (as Joker) "happy" and not "afraid" - a complete opposite of what his toxin should do - who, rightfully dumbfounded, decides to inject another dose of his fear toxin into Batman's body. But something is very different this time, because it's not Batman that fell victime to the fear toxin, but Joker. As the second dose of the toxin flows through his veins, the scales of hallucination tilts back : Joker's own hallucination, born out his own fear, send him back to the "intensive treatment" section of the Asylum -- going back to the very first game where he "started the party", only to find Batman welcoming waiting him to it's end. ironically, as Joker's joy was standing as it's peak Batman rise to confront him ; his fears reaching it's highest point as no matter how many shot he fires at Batman (figuratively accounting for each of his attempt at making the Dark Knight "losing control") Batman doesn't stop. Batman doesn't break. Batman doesn't fall. Then, as Joker realise this, Batman grabs him by the collar and states things clearly : "I am vengeance. I am the Knight. I am Batman." He then proceed on beating him, making good word of those that he told to Joker back at the Asylum, that be it either in mind or body, in life or death, he would never let him win ; beating and locking him up into the cell of his mind This time for good.
The clown prince of crime finally disappeared, and alongside him so did Batman's fear. As he clearly state to Scarecrow, through yet his third and last injection of fear towin into Batman's bloodstream : "I am not afraid, Crane."
Batman's salvation from the haunting of Joker came out at the hand of Scarecrow, the one that, for all his efforts to see the Bat breaking before his own fears, ended up lifting them by breaking out that of the Joker - the only being in existence that Batman seemingly could never totally win against.
Truly, "Batman Arkham" story is a masterpiece that is every last bit worthy of the dark knight's name. Big congratulations to Rocksteady's studio for having developped one of the best tri-episodic video game series of the past decade.

@@chumpernickel4289 I stopped reading at "the ultimate irony."
I am so proud of you
@Commissar Lord I'm in B)
@Viper Hareous the Titan Poisoning, Batman was able to cure himself of, the Toxins in Joker's blood and DNA, that was incurable.
I found it so stupid how people say joker was in arkham knight too much and how they were happy he died. Lets make something clear, batman would be nothing without joker. The joker is what made the arkham series so incredible. Not just the arkham series but just batman in general. Seriously just shut up, the game was so amazing. Thank you rocksteady
the only thing that annoyed me was that shit wb Montreal pulled with origins. they advertised it with black mask as the main villain only to have it be joker. I was really interested on why black mask wanted batman dead so much. but they went with joker because the story writes itself.
+alphakillson I agree with you 100 percent. I think joker was honestly a joke in that game. rocksteady did so God damn good with the joker in the arkham games, but not Montreal
Mikeydee I didn't really mind the joker playing a part in the game as a whole. My problem is that they missed out on a great opportunity to use a villain that is very underused. Like I thought the reason black mask wanted batman dead was because he learns he's bruce wsyne, and wants him dead for pretty much destroying his family's legacy. If the gone with that, and included him and jokers first meeting, I'd praise the fuck n out of it. Sadly that wasn't the case, instead we got a very mediocre story with very little originality to it.
Mikeydee hell even with arkham knights faults, it does prove that you can have another villain at the front and not have it be joker
well Black Mask finding out that Bats is Bruce would make no sense since he's still around in Arkham city and so on... dont you think that he would've told the whole underworld (or alas his underlings) that Bats it Bruce? Why make it so "difficult"? He could've prepared an assissantion attempt on Wayne and Batman stops it (maybe during a party or so), this and the danger that Bats is to his criminal empire should be reason enough for Black Mask wanting the bat dead
1:55:43 This moment right here is why I love mark hamil joker so much He can switch to being someone you don’t take be seriously and kind of a jokester to someone Who’s very serious and creepy and kind of has a point in things
He looks like he comes from Los Santos in gta 😂
TRUE 💜💚💜
Joker really had an extraordinary life.
He is.....or was the clown prince of crime so his life was brimming with madness
+Atrocitus Destroyer God save the (Clown) Prince :)
Abraxas Gremory The God ??
+Oscar The Supreme huh? Is that supposed to be a reference to something? :/
He’s still alive... he’s forever part of Batman
Mark Hamill's Joker is the best.
He's the definitive joker
Batman was huge in this game like 6'5-6'6
True
Unpopular opinion: 2019 Joker is the worst Joker. Just as a character. The movie is a masterpiece but that Joker doesn't feel like Joker in the slightest

Asylum will always be my favorite of the Arkham games. It has the tightest, most linear storyline and it is chock full of great Mark Hamill-as-Joker moments. That first nightmare scene with the Scarecrow is worth the price of admission alone. I love love love this game. Endlessly replayable.

1:20:12 wow, I just noticed that the cameraman is weezing like joker and after what we know happens in arkham city it would make sense, cool like easter egg. (oh and PS, obvious lost reference is obvious, still love it though).
this video was before joker used the TITAN on himself

he already used it in AA
thats a nice easter
actually that's old joker coughing
@@Blizzardstorm22180 That was my thought exactly. The real joker was recording clay-face pretending to joker. Which is kind of weird. Wouldn't it make more sense if it was Harley recording it? then again, she might have given something away.

When you play as the joker and start taking out the villains you can hear “Only You” play in the background. Honestly made me sad about the Joker.
Follow The Train it actually plays throughout the series, in the beginning of knight you can hear it in the diner, you can hear joker singing it at the end credits of city, and you can hear it when you play as joker in knight
Wait when does that happen I've been playing for a while now and I've been waiting for that part so I was just wondering when that happens
@@scatelenlilly6832 did you reach it yet
Mark Hamill is the best Joker voice actor ever.
When you punch Joker into cell-hell, he actually is sad. I don't think he's completely insane, guys.
+Hornsx14 Time? :o
oh well sweetie he’s insane
@@sistamya9981 he's not mentally ill
Even the mentally ill have fear, I am kind of team scarecrow.
Joker isn't insane, he's super-sane, basically he knows he's fictional and nothing matters. It's one of the reasons he doesn't care about anything, along with his past trauma as Red Hood.
5:21 Unfortunate name.
It's just so funny how Arkham Knight has SO much more Joker scenes than the previous ones and he was supposed to be dead.
Who's here after watching the JOKER movie? 🙋♀️
Yip!
Not me :(
Of course all of us :3
This story line is crazy
It sucked
The Arkhamverse Joker is honestly my favourite version of the character! He has the dark humour of the comics version the playful clownish persona of the animated one and the brilliance of Heath Ledgers version!

I've still yet to play Arkham Knight. Though I have beaten Asylum and City. Mark Hamill's performance was amazing.

“You Know What Your Probably Right, I Got To Go? ....’ - Nameless Hustle Bane
57:42 The way he yells "Batman!" is really funny for some reason
A very, very good thing, that Arkham Knight came before Superman v Batman. That knightfall voice confirmation would've made me ROFL
This is video is absolutely amazing. We see Joker from the ground up to his death and later comings, I'm trying to learn how to impersonate Mark Hamil's Joker so I could expand my voice acting list. This really helps me a ton.
The animated series joker is one that's deep in my heart ok? And I love the show more than anything but when Hamill was allowed to come on the game.. it's perfect.
It's weird to say and think that the best portrayal of the joker comes from 3 video games but it's true. He's still so light-hearted but far more sinister than in the show without making him too dark like ledger. Ledger knew the severity of his crimes and this joker treats every crime the same no matter how grotesque and brutal. To him robbing an old lady and running off has the same affect on his conscious as killing a man's children. It's all equally as funny to him and that's what I love.
Asylum and city were and still are the shit definitely best in the series
This is the definitive version of The Joker imo
I just watched the entire video. Thanks for uploading
2:56 The nostalgia of that tune

What is it? It reminds me of Luigi’s Mansion 3 for some reason.
6:47 the joker is just watching like 👁️👄👁️

THE JOKER SET HIS PLOT WHEN BATMAN TOOK HIM BACK TO ARKHAM ASYLUM
After watching this i think i want to jump in a chemical tank
Epic. Nicely done.
I like how he went from a generic villain in origins to the joker we all know and love.
This is a historical video for the JOKER
Batman: "that you caused"
Joker: *HOW DARE YOU! I've never been so...* oh what the hell? yes OK it was me
1:55:44 My favourite Joker quote from Arkham Knight.
''OOOOH it's my favorite show! I'm warden Idiot! You'll never escape! Hahahahahahahaha!'' For some reason I feel bad laughing at Joker's jokes even in game over sequences. And so glad it's still Mark Hamill as if the Batman animated series are still continuing with our generation who grew up watching it!
Joker crying at the end tho ;(
