Nice video. I finally picked up my second radio operator, so I have my two mechanics work opposite one another and my two radio operators work opposite one another. I don't schedule my skipper or botswain. I do make sure someone is on the uzo at all times during daylight and also that my nav stays about 70%. I also use time compression sparingly as it's too easy (for me) of time and space and wander into trouble. I did it just the other day when I found myself dead in the middle of an HX convoy with only two torpedoes left. Fortunately, I was able to slow the boat and settle in depth and not get detected, but I was a bit lucky.

The way I run my submarine is with 3 officers, 2 engineering officers, and 2 radio officers.
The 3 officers have work a total of 12 hours split into two 2 hour shifts with the rest being free(sleep time) (2 watch officers, 1 Chief Boatswim) the shifts are staggered with the watch officers having 3 hours with the boatswim and 3 hours without.
Then my mechanic and engineer both do the same shifts at 6 on 6 off 6 on and 6 off.
Then my 2 radio officers are staggered to each other with 6 on 6 off 6 on and 6 off. Usually manning Radio unless manually assigned to hydrophones. This way you always have a rested radio officer on standby.
I mainly spot ships by using my hydrophones doing search patterns with periodic hydrophone listening dives (50m) this uses whichever radio officer is most rested for 5 minutes. This is the best I have found to have it automated and no officer is ever two tired. You can switch around the officers roles to fit your preference if you find your navigational accuracy often gets too low then just have two Boatswims instead of two WatchOfficers.

Just watching the latest vod on twitch. Couple of observations. When you entered 2650 to first target the game took that as only 2km could explain the miss, also when you are timing, you're stopping the clock a quarter early if you're aiming for 3.25 minutes, should be 6.5 times around and not 6.25. Enjoying the vids, thanks.

No, the game takes the full 2650, just rounds up for the visual (tested). Timing is 3 min 14.75 seconds

Hi, I did not find this useful, as for me this game is not a simulator like Silent Hunter but a management game where you mange your boat through the strengths and weaknesses of your Officers and crew, therefore, the Management section is the most important and must be carefully set up.
