Well done gentlemen, outstanding work. This makes Uboat come allot closer to Silent Hunter, at this rate its well on its way to become the best sub-sim yet, thanks to playway and modders like yourselves. Thank you!
And here we are, 2 years later and TDC is yet not integrated into the game. In the meanwhile, this game is launching its first official release. I have yet to see an EA game that does the things the right way.
It needs to be as close to zero as possible, so the torpedo doesn't need to turn after leaving the tube.(that's assuming your target is close to 90 degrees to you)
Did not really understand anything. In the army we taught keep it simple for stupid. However the video quality was 10 out of 10, and made suited to the more experienced platers.
Now what you need to do is build in some axis and or digital input/output controls so we can build a replica using 0:14 Arduino boards pots, encoders, steppers, and a 3d printer.
Very nice simulation of the TDC. Beautiful work indeed. But I do find it ridiculous that you "lock-on" targets in this sim it seems arcade. Did uboat capt do this? And then after "locking -on" you stuck with a "Locked-On" immersion killing icon label- Such a beautiful sim if they could get rid of or make transparent all the icons and targeting symbols.
Ummm is this mod outdated or something? When I first got this mod, I followed your tutorial (which is a GREAT tutorial btw) and it worked fine. I just started playing again, rewatched the tutorial to remember everything and it isnt working. The torpedo keeps going the opposite way. I'm quite sure I'm inputing the AoB correctly. I'm facing the side of the ship, he's slightly to my port side, I'm to his starboard, pretty much like the video here. I measure the AoB, put it in the green side since I'm to his starboard, I fire my torpedo when he's still a bit to my port side, but the torpedo fires to my starboard (the opposite direction it's supposed to). Pretty much this exact thing happened like 4 times in a row. I feel like I'm missing something stupid xD anyone has any ideas???
Pretend you're stood on the target ship looking out and you look left then right and spot the sub. You calculate the angle you have turned your head to look, so if you turn your high and look directly right, then it's 90 degrees, if you only turn your head 1/2 way, then it's 45 degrees. Now if you turned your head right, the needle needs to be in the green area, if you turned left, it's the red area. Use the protactor tool on the map to calculate it exactly like in the video.
once you input the AOB on the TDC you can tick the AOB follow up switch and it will automatically update the AOB for you as you track the target with your periscope.
@@acfangaming There's two directions where enemy ship can get torpedoed from. For example if you want to hit the ship from middle. It can stay at 0°(But your angle is important too. I guess if you are not on 90° on enemy it'll miss. For that you have gyro gadget as shown in end of video.) Device handles the rest of it. If i got it true. I'll try to test it on dummies when i get the chance. Dont take my info seriously.

Brilliant is an understatement
Absolutely the best mod out there, no question about it
Wow the work that got into this mod,... you guys should be on the Uboat development team,...
How do you determine best gyro angle? I didn’t really understand in the video

Truly an excellent tutorial on Basic TDC work. I'll be looking forward to the B129 and B130 updates for this amazing Mod!
Brilliant job. Very well done, indeed. Thanks a lot
ZNC, Ruby,FreeKoly
I keep missing either by just in front or Just behind. What am I doing wrong?
Still wondering why nobody can 'mod' some English descriptions on the control knob identifiers....lol

can you make an english text version of the TDC?
0:40 how did you determine where to draw those lines?
Whats the turning speed correction?

Thanks, dude, great now I understand it!
What about torpedo depth?!
Loving this mod, but I was wondering in what situation/how you would use the turning speed correction knob?
When your UBoat is turning, it can either be right or left, you just set it the right way. Left turn you set it left, same for opposite.
how to get this mod on the GOG game version?
Can someone explain how to zero the gyro?
Great addition! What mod are you using to get the map ruler to show actual meters and not round it up? I want to see 2245m not 2km. is that possible?
I believe it's an in-game setting IIRC to display measurements as "mixed".
Excellent mod, cant wait for the release of it. (I'm on B127 atm and it's not currently compatible).
Well explained. 4 torpedoes a tad excessive don't you think?
God man no matter how many times I try using it I always miss. I must be missing something important here, but it seems simple to operate.
I do not understand the AOB left and right, green and red option? can you explain a bit please. cheers
Simple
The target that comes from the left directs the needle to the right (Green)
What comes from the right directs the needle to the left (red)
Pretend you're stood on the target ship looking out and you look left then right and spot the sub. You calculate the angle you have turned your head to look, so if you turn your high and look directly right, then it's 90 degrees, if you only turn your head 1/2 way, then it's 45 degrees. Thank you for the tutorial!
Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! It's really great!!!
Do you have a mod to show the exact distances on the rulers lines on the map?
Now they need to optimize the graphical performance of the game.
I'm noob... how is it installed?
Like this ua-cam.com/video/P-bOleh9q-U/v-deo.html
my AOB is alway over 100 what am i doing
wrong..i do it like you
im very late but draw a line through the bow and then to your ship that is your AOB
You can make such a well made mod but not a video in 1080p
AOB must be taken where the torpedo suppose to hit the target, not where you see the boat ;)
Thank you man! My torps kept missing in front of the target and I did not realize why until I saw this! Very helpful thanks!
Fuck I missed so many shots.
once you input the AOB on the TDC you can tick the AOB follow up switch and it will automatically update the AOB for you as you track the target with your periscope.
Could you explain this a bit further? I’m still getting near misses
@@acfangaming There's two directions where enemy ship can get torpedoed from. For example if you want to hit the ship from middle. It can stay at 0°(But your angle is important too. If you can't hit the target at an angle of 90 degrees and at a distance of 1-2 km, then you are a dibil and mods will not help here
Man 4 Torps are a damn waste lol.
A bit overkilled
