LOVE to ALL of you - Розваги
Hello guys!! These reactions were recorded back in 2021 and were PATREON exclusive. Now that I'm still recovering I decided to post the reactions for all of you! ❤ All Full Reactions to Firefly are NOW AVAILABLE ON MY PATREON: www.patreon.com/KazzyReacts
Not sure what you’re recovering from (ain’t none o’ my business) but get well soon!
Get well soon. Thank you for posting these on YT.
I think I may be falling in love with you and your incredible laugh! :D
"we didn't fly 86 million miles to track down a box of band-aids, colonel."
such complete and utter disrespect for that entire planet and its problems.
Adam Baldwin not Daniel Baldwin
came here to say this ☝
Same@@alefnull
“Firefly” is the classification for the type of ship that Serenity is.
Best 5 words to sum up Mal's character: "I don't believe he does." Best. Line. Ever.
There are a few lines in the early episodes that succinctly define Mal. "I don't believe he does" is one of them.
The one thing Joss Whedon does better than most anyone else I can think of, is he creates strong characters and introduces them very efficiently. You get to know everyone very quickly and they're all very compelling from the start.
The combination of writing and acting in this show is spectacular. There are no weak links... except maybe the execs who cancelled the show. 😠
I was given a DVD of the movie 'Serenity' for Christmas back in the day. I'd seen the trailers when it was coming to theaters, didn't understand it, scoffed at it. Sci-fi meets western? Come on, how lame is that going to be? I'm too savvy I love cyberpunk, blah-blah-blah. Then, one night, I was desperate for something to watch and, a year or two later, slid 'Serenity' into the DVD player in my room.
And found something that was exactly what my tabletop group had been doing for decades. This was Traveller! The best sci-fi tabletop RPG game ever! I knew everyone instantly! The most fun was watching them do just as bad was we tended to do! Mind blown! It's about the people, not the stuff! The dish of crow I ate was so tasty, I watched 'Serenity' again the same night. ^_~
Heh, I hadn't thought about it like that, but yeah, this is almost exactly a game of Traveller. Well spotted.
I'm glad you're watching the intended sequence of order and not FOX'S series killer order.
They were in fact serial killers
The order they broadcast them worked for me. Because The Train Job, in particular Mal’s answer to Crow’s threat, is what immediately sold me on the series.
"Two by Two, hands of blue."
"How'd it go?"
"She hit me."
This crew does what needs to be done... and are amusing as they do it.
I ran into the first episode of this show one night in like 2005. Watched the entire season that night and the movie "Serenity" a couple days later. No matter how many times you watch it never gets old. It's like hanging out with long time friends. 😄
The 'Last thing you see will be my blade' 'Well, darn' was the moment I knew this show was gonna be something special!
Absolutely treasure this series, and my two pups kaylee and inara agree...
Sneezing and laughing at the same time! Just another sign that you love the show.
The theme of _Firefly_ is civilized values versus frontier values: frontier values are better. Civilization, the inner planets, is represented by the Alliance officer 12:31 who can't be bothered to track down the stolen medicine although the colonists will die without it, and the creepy Blue Hands guys who are looking for River so they can experiment on her brain some more. Frontier values are represented by Mal, who returns the medicine even though it endangers him with Niska, and the sheriff, who recognises that Mal has done the right thing and doesn't arrest him.
Mal sums up his frontier morality by saying "We are thieves ( _we steal from the Alliance who conquered our planets_ ) but we are not thieves ( _we don't steal medicine from ordinary folk who need it_ ) "
Eh, its more complicated than that. Vigilante justice like burning a strange woman at the stake could also be considered "frontier values"
@@laramyelliott2903 That's right. Whedon doesn't sugarcoat the brutal nature of frontier life where there is no law enforcement. But the message is at its worst it is better than losing your freedom to a totalitarian government
@@laramyelliott2903 Right. Whedon never sugarcoats the brutal nature of frontier life out where there is no law enforcement. But the message is even at its worse it is better than losing your freedom to a totalitarian government like the Alliance
@@laramyelliott2903 Right! The creators never sugarcoat the brutality of life on the frontier beyond the reach of law enforcement. Mal and the crew are constantly getting wounded. But the message is: as bad as it is, the frontier is better than losing your freedom to a totalitarian government like the Alliance (I disagree)
I got the DVD when I didn't even have a TV in the house, because of an online community I was involved with: Firefly was the only thing everyone agreed on, whatever their class or nationality. Of course, I then had to beg TV time from friends...
The ship is a FireFly class and it's name is Serenity.
There is a common phrase that we use.
There are two types of people. Those who love Firefly and those who haven't seen it
Glad you have joined The Browncoats!
"Mal" is also Latin or Spanish for "bad". It shows up as a prefix in English - malcontent, malady, malnourished.
French as well. It’s Latin, everything, including French and Spanish, derived from there.
4:11 This extra's jump punch always cracks me up
Everyone mentioning it is Adam not Daniel...since she filmed these for Patreon back in 2021 as she noted in her pinned post, it is kind of too late to correct her. It will be interesting to see if she eventually notices... 😊
Howdy, fellow Ern! Should have known you’d be observant. She even put text on the screen saying she recoded this in 2021. Good job, sir, and good to “see” you again.
@@Ernwaldo hey Ern! Us Ern's are everywhere! 😆
One thing to remember is that in the first episode before the war ended he actually was praying. The loss of the war made him non religious
Not wo much non religious, so much as he lost his faith. He felt abandoned by god, so he abandoned god right back. A non religious person wouldn't hold hostility to religion the way that Mal does.
@@spamfilter32 Yup. Mal's a misotheist, not an atheist.
It makes me so happy seeing the Joss humor tickle your funnybone as much as it does to me.
I know the guy who did the CG train for this episode. Haven't seen him in a long time but he's a great artist.
Nice little detail: the alliance troops on the train wore uniforms from Star Ship Troopers.
By the way, that was one perfectly timed sneeze!
Great reaction! Laughing out loud at Jayne getting drugged by Simon was fantastic! You are in for a very entertaining time. There are a few future episodes that are SO much funnier, can't wait to see you enjoy those. To think, if it wasn't for some VERY bad decisions at FOX in 2002, we would all be watching season 22 of Firefly right now and FOX would be on top of the entertainment world.
I dunno about 22, but they definitely could've gotten at least 5.
Love love love every moment of this show.
The torture anytime I watch someone start reacting to this show is wishing they would binge the entire single season in one video! So much more for you to fall in love with coming up!
Don't "binge watch" a superior, limited-number-of-episodes TV show. Slow down and savor every second, since there aren't any more...ever. I feel that doing that shows that you respect the writer, production crew and actors' work. But what do I know, some people prefer to brag how fast they can "experience" a movie/TV show.
@@Otokichi786 That's the way I feel too. When I stumbled on the show and found out how good it was, I savored the episodes, only watching one every few weeks and rewatching it many times, to make the series last longer.
@@Otokichi786 - It can also just as well be viewed as total respect that it's so good you need to see the next episode right way, much like when you read a fantastic book and stay up all night reading because you can't put it down. The respect then continues by rewatching the show - either in slower, controlled moments, an episode at a time, or by bingeing in chunks, or in total for years/decades after. Respect can be shown in different ways; there isn't a 'one size fits all' method. You do you, and stay shiny.
You were talking and missed the Adam Baldwin line when he shot ole Bladeface 'I was aiming for his head', a line which Nathan Fillion got put into 'Castle', one of quite a few Firefly references to appear in the show (as did Adam Baldwin - the looney detective Castle had a bromance with...Butcher?).
"The Train Job": The Fox TV-demanded second pilot, written over a weekend. Out-of-season note: Every time a UA-cam viewer falls in love with "Firefly," a Fox TV executive falls off the Nakatomi Plaza building. "Voice over introduction?" I never saw it back in the 2000s nor on the DVD set. Mal picks an Alliance-friendly bar to celebrate Unification Day with a Donnybrook. The tip/job introduces us to the dangerous/psychotic crime boss, Adelai Niska and his #2, Crow. The train to Paradiso has the goods, which is to be plucked off under the noses of Alliance troops. Mal and Zoe pose as a married couple, then find out that the goods are critically needed meds. Jayne doesn't get to use The Chain of Command, since Simon "put him to sleep." What Mal does with the meds and Niska's men show two aspects of his personal ethics.
I really enjoyed your reaction to this. Your laugh is infectious.
Love your enjoyment of the series. Did you get the "two by two hands of blue" in the very last scene?
Really looking forward to all your reactions to this series. Love your vibe.
Now imagine watching this show originally on FOX and this is your first episode. No character introductions, no world building, just this...
Honestly, for an episode written over a weekend in a scramble to get a new pilot at the request of a network trying to kill off the show, it's not that bad in that function. Obviously Serenity is superior and Fox are assholes. But if it had to be the introduction, it certainly could have been worse
Glad you are doing this and enjoying it as well. I always love to see more people becoming fans of it though I will warn you now the movie is different than the show but that's not a spoiler so no worries, though you most likely have seen it already by now. I love river so much and the mystery behind her as well but I like them all really. This was my first time seeing most of these actors when I watched it for the first time on dvd and I still own it to this day. Mal is a good man it shows in the way he acts and the way he treats everyone in his crew as family. It's sad that the actor of Book passed away back in 2016 he was 71 at the time. Any way still glad you enjoy this show and grate reaction.
4:03 See. Jayne ain't gonna miss out on a brawl 🙂
Great characters, great dialog, great storylines! What's not to love!
Welcome to the verse.
'mal' is latin for bad or negative.
so many reactors miss this... I lose so many reactors this way!
one of my fave shows ever =)
Wonderful reaction. And you have a great laugh.
Only Joss Whedon could make a man being ground into a red paste hilarious.
I always felt bad for Kaylee having to probably clean that engine.
Thank you for going to the trouble to share your reactions & thoughts from the past. Hoping you’re currently feeling reasonably well, continuing to improve and ultimately stay healthy. Best wishes from a new fan.
It's ADAM Baldwin, by the way. No relation to the half-dozen or so other Baldwins (Alec, Stephen, etc).
I appreciate you and thank you for making content.
If we got more seasons we would have got more details into the history of the crew. But there are books.
Two by two, hands of blue.
Mal is latin for "bad". that's what she was saying
Gesundheit. Glad you like the show, only wish they made more episodes.
That is not Daniel Baldwin, its Adam Baldwin.
Adam.....Adam....Adam.....Not Daniel.
It's Adam Baldwin, not Daniel.
The hastily written unofficial pilot for Fox. There are elements you can tell Josh was writing under orders from on high.
New to Kazzy. I dig her. Would make a good friend.
Jayne is played by Adam Baldwin. He's my personal favorite Baldwin. Daniel is second. Alec is probably fourth.
"Mal" means "wacky" in Dutch..
Two by Two
“Mal” means “bad” in french. :-)
I wonder how many people commenting here will notice that she recorded these in 2021.
Kazzy, you started off saying how you liked the voice over at the beginning of the episode. I know you have seen only one episode at this point, but did you recognize the voice as one of the cast?
It is ADAM BALDWIN!! Stop calling him Daniel, that isn't even close lol
Man, I love your laugh. Your husband is a lucky man. Bless you.
Hahaha...at 16:45 you incorrectly named the character that played "Jayne", as Daniel Baldwin. It's Adam Baldwin.
And you incorrectly called an actor a character.
it's sad that great shows are a thing of the past.
If I join your Patreon, are there full show reactions for Firefly?
In her pinned post she said she recorded these as a Patreon exclusive back in 2021, I expect they were indeed full reactions.
@@ernesthakey3396 thank you
@@TheScaramongus you're welcome!
"Don't tell him. I never do." The possible first hint that inara has feelings for mal?
React to The Expanse
Shebsays Mal, bad, ......leading people to think that Malcom Reynalds is bad, a split second late she say " from the latin" .. . Letting us k ow that she always speak facts, we just dont always know what she means ( mal is latin for bad, ised as a prefix in modern english ie: malpractice, malnutrition, etc)
ADAM BALDWIN. NOT DANIEL.
❤🧡💛💚💙💜
if you haven't already seen it, it would be great if you reacted to The Expanse.... a lot of content and a dedicated fan base
It's such a well constructed universe. I really love that series.
Probably one of my least favourite episodes (not that there is a single bad one). And still so good, with some iconic scenes and lines, introduction of a great new character...
