- As an update, our Quick-Release Inner Fenders are now available - americanadventurelab.com/prod...
Jeep JL Rubicon and Sahara models come with a three piece front fender assembly. In this video we show you how split your JL fenders to remove the inner fender liner and DRL mounting system in exchange for significantly more tire clearance and our American Adventure Lab High-Line Fender Brackets and LED Daytime Running Lights.
Huge thanks to Red Desert Off Road - www.reddesertoffroad.com/. The shots at the end with the fork lift are from their shop, where this Jeep was built. They also did the bump stop modification mentioned at the end of the video.
This is the detailed version of our Jeep JL High-Line Fender Bracket installation. We also have a quick time-lapse version of the video available here - • Time Lapse - Jeep JL H... .
Product information is available at JeepJLHighLine.com. - Авто та транспорт
honestly glad you did this yourself, shows what kind of company you are.
I love these lights. Thanks for the fantastic video. I just finished the install of the lights. Going to install the AAL inner fenders tomorrow. So excited to see the finished product.
Looks really nice and clean. The added clearance is good too.
Very clean look and greater function. Great product.
Cool. Really like the added wheel space.
Still keeping a great look.
Thanks, Spencer.
cant wait to get a set of these bad boys!
This is awesome !! Thank you for the great videos . I’m definitely doing this . It looks bad ass .
Thanks!
Awesome to see that your Company is making a impact. Good Job - when will the back orders get filled, lol
Those lights look awesome! Nice video!
Thanks! I appreciate that.
Come out with an inner fender liner that goes with this setup and you've earned my business (and several other's), don't like wheels tossing salt and mud into the wheel well area, that's just asking for corrosion problems 3 years down the road.
We're already on it. Should have something to show in about a week. Thanks for commenting and watching!
Any liner updates?
Was curious about this as well. A lot of unnecessary stuff will be thrown into that engine bay and could possible damage vital parts. They do look cool though.
Okay so I want to buy these but I, like the rest, want it to look good, clean and almost professional.
Any updates on when it will be finished?
@@AdventureLab Looking for uptakes on these Fender Liners....
love it .... nice work
Took explanation was spot on… I call those the same thing 😂
The description of the tools was hilarious
Looks great!
That's awesome. Got to have for sure
Thanks, Aaron.
Excellent video and explanation, very good gadget
Thanks, Fernando!
@@AdventureLab How weak is the flare, after removing the inner fender ??
I love this. Anyone with a JL Sport will want a replacement fender, inner fender and these lights as a kit. Maybe work on that when you get a chance. (please!)
I have a JL Sport and I'm looking into buying Rubi fenders + this light kit! I think it would make my 2 door look awesome combined with a 2" lift and 35's.
Inner liner is a must.37 in rubber is dandy
Nice video
Can you make a video for razr mt review !? Like how they do in rock can the side wall flex or not like on treps!? Also on snow .. sand.. streets ..!
Pretty slick
Looks great but the Jeep definitely needs a rubber apron style inner fender now. Nice product!
We'll have our inners done in about a week. Thanks for watching!
Hi,. thanks for this video, super helpful .Planning to purchase this product. Quick question - do you have video instruction how to use z automotive Tazer to configure the light and prevent the Bulb Out Warning? Also, do you know if the Tazer light support it ? if not, I will need to upgrade.
Been eyeing this for a while. Do you guys offer an amber led vs the white without needing to do the RGB style leds? I prefer the look of amber running lights.
Great install dude. Love the Benny Hill music.
Ha ha. Thanks.
As others have said, inner fender liners would make this a solid kit. Great job nonetheless!
These have been for sale for several months now and have sold very well. Let me know if you have any questions - americanadventurelab.com/product/jeep-jl-jt-quick-release-front-inner-fenders/
Pretty sweet product if I had jl I would buy this.
thanks!!!
Awesome tool description gonna ask for them exact names at my hardware store...
Ha ha. They'll know exactly what you mean. ;-)
The big yellow one is the rotary bang stick.
Nice, and i see the inner fender linings are there for purchase. Question. If you don't have DRL will this still work?
What if someone was so inclined as to keeping the factory DRL setup and outer black trim so would it be possible to remove the inner part of the fenders and maybe cut around the plastic welds that hold the front DRL and cut the inside edges where it meets and clips into the outer black trim so it becomes a gutted fender with factory DRL and outer black trim and add your Fender Liners to it
Can I remove the existing daylight running light and trim the inner fender to except the new light without removing the inner fender liner?
Aluminum fender liners and I'll purchase the entire setup today. I won't run without liners however. First off, its damn ugly seeing all that crap in there and secondly, it makes a tremendous mess of the engine bay in mud, dust, dirt.
NEVERMIND... I see you have them. Ordering everything today!
Edit #2: UGH... backordered!! :(
LOVE the video....any problems with the back of the fender flopping around at speed....seems like the only thing holding them on are the plastic clips back there. OH and LOVE the bumper...I ordered the exact one from Hauk....should be in any day now.
Thanks for watching! No problems with the back of the fender moving. In an odd wind situation the front can bounce a little, but 99% of the time the wind is pushing the fender down. We have had people ask for a way to secure the front. I'll be including a tab in case anyone wants to drill their fender for extra support.
IMPRESSIVE....I LIKE IT
Thanks, Andrew.
Nice install, looks really nice and clean. New lights are awesome. Does anyone make an inner fender replacement for the exposed engine area ?
We will have one available in about 2 weeks. Thanks for watching.
Les Szabo asks the question I have. Or for simplicity might there be a possibility to use the stock inner fender well?
I’m aware of plenty of aftermarket “wells”, but want to spend money on other gear and not the “wells.”
Do you guys have a video on the non-Rubicon fender kits
Do you know of an aftermarket fender for the JLU Sports that work well with this setup?
I have a Rubi suspension on my Sport and 35's. I rub the inner fender liners in the rear so am interested in replacing with flatter fenders but would love to incorporate these lights as well in the front.
Great video and product! When do you expect backorders to be filled?
We're filling daily. Currently, we're about 2-3 weeks out on new orders.
Great design and a much needed product! I ordered a set last weekend and look forward to doing the install with my son. Maybe we'll play a little Benny Hill mood music to set the tone... Question for you - have you tried the "light show" with your Tazer yet since your swap? I'll give it a try and send you a video.
Ha ha. You can never have too much Benny Hill! Wait, that's clearly not true. Yes, I have tried it with the Tazer. It looks great, especially with our top secret Trail Lights (coming soon). Thanks for watching and ordering!
@American Adventure Lab what size tires and lift were on that Jeep stance looks good with the Highline fender mod
Ones you have the inner fender I’m getting me a set of this.
Nice!
Thanks.
Does the current factory connector attached to your product eliminate the dash alert?
QUESTION on ORDERING... You have three choices for Bulb Out Sensor... I have the factory LED fenders now, what choice should I make when I order?
thanks, guys your products are of the best in the industry!
Nice
Look like a great product and we did order it. We order it on 3/7/21 until now we didn't receive it. Unfortunately to wait 2 month and counting is no fun. I hope the product deliver good results like In the video but with that said i don't think its worth more then 2 month of waiting, even with the pandemic is too long.
I wonder if your before and after measurement in this video is applicable in terms of true travel gained? It would be helpful to also see a measurement from the top of the tire to the lowest point on the brackets hanging down where most tires would hit first. I imagine there will be quite a few people that choose to not cut the brackets and travel gained is more like an inch for most people. They look cool though..
Bad ass!!
In the end video what is underneath the DRL on the granite crystal Jeep is it an additional light that you sell or something someone else put on
I’m assuming the install for the Sahara is the same process, but with a different bracket since the fenders are lower?
Ordered mine. Waiting. Anxious....
Thanks, Jeff!
any word on the inner fender? also, is there a way to just run these without the DRL, and just use it as a turn signal? doesn’t look like the DRL matches the color of the oem halos.
is it possible to re-install the OEM inner fender liner after this? also does this work with non-color matched fenders ( the generic black plastic)
I just picked up a Gladiator Willys. Which version would your High Line need to be to fit my fender flares? They seem to be 2 piece fenders but I am not sure if they are the Rubicon or a new modified Sport version.
Awesome lights 👍
Thanks, Victor! We're glad you like them!
What bumper is that on the gray Jeep at 15:01? I really like that!!
When will the Sport option be available?
I gave the video a Like simply because of the tool descriptions! LOL!
I loved mine for 3 years. Sadly the turn signals no longer work and they are yellowing.
How did you guys intall those led bars below the drl
Do you leave the fender liner in? How does that protect the engine bay from mud?
Oof be warned you need those white body clips on the inner fender at the end, for some reason I took the "some people just rip the fenders off" as them not being needed somehow, but I saved enough of them. Finally got these installed hopefully my fenders dont blow off the highway today lol
LOVE EM
I wish you made these LED's for JKU ! Ugh
Someone give me an opinion. I have a 2021 Sahara. If I installed these lights and removed the inner fenders. Would I still need a lift for 35s??
What size tires are on this Jeep? Deciding if I want to get these or not.
Any options for the rear? That is where I’m getting more “rub”. Thanks
Can these be installed using the factory fender flare extensions for the Rubicon XR?
Sweet as bruz, good job. Do you post to Australia?
Thanks! We ship to AUS almost every week!
Does the fenders vibrate on freeway after the chop?
Are these suppose to stay on even when the headlights are off?
Did you modify the rears? Those lights are awesome!
Thanks, David. I appreciate that. I did not modify the rears. I only removed the inner liner. We will have a matching rear liner out soon.
Do you guys have one for JL Sport models?
Love the look but I hate not having an inner fender. Any recommendations on an aftermarket inner liner ?
Ok I see you are coming out with one
if i install this in my 2018 jeep wrangler jl moab will i encounter problem such as error code in my dash pls reply
Do you know how to fix the "turn signal lights out" error using superchip/flashcal after installing this ?
How do you now when to stop!
Aren’t the tires much louder now ?
Will these fit non rubicon/Sahara?
Great video, love that DRL kit, however, just like other comments, i'm in need of a fender liner. I own a 2019 JL (European model, 2.2 Diesel). Any suggestions? Btw, any reference (partner of yours, dealer, online shop, etc) for me to place an order from here (Europe)? Please keep up your great job, products and videos.
Thanks for watching! We have liners available, but the the diesel will require a compromise. You need to move your windshield washer tank to use the normal liners. We will have a diesel-specific liner available as soon as we can get one into the shop and get measured up.

As for dealers in Europe, we do not have any stocking dealers. However, we can ship direct. Please reach out to us on Monday if you have any questions. We'll be glad to get some of these headed your way. aal.cx
Is it possible to install without taking the inner fender? I know that I would have to cut the inner fender.
Can you leave and off road with no inner liners?
Just got these and realize the flare just lays on top of the bracket unless you put a bolt through the side of the fender and then that’s just one bolt holding it on makes more sense to replace with aluminum flares .
Hey Stuart. First off. Thank you for the order and thanks for watching the video. Based on your comment, it sounds like you are surprised at how these install. I'm sorry for the confusion there. This video was produced to eliminate any of the confusion.
The bolt is plenty sufficient to retain the outside of the fender. The fender is also attached throughout the quarter panel. In addition, we sell an optional "Fender Retention Kit" if you would like to replace the white plastic OEM clips with nutcerts and bolts - americanadventurelab.com/product/jeep-jl-fender-retention-hardware/.
On a side note, "makes more sense" is completely relative. We are not claiming this to be the perfect product for every situation. However, it is a very cost effective way to add a ton of style and additional clearance to your JL without breaking the bank. I doubt you will get aluminum flares for anywhere near this price. Also, the aluminum fenders will transfer any impact directly into the quarter panels, which will be a very costly repair. The plastic will absorb that impact, and in most cases, bounce back without a lot of damage to the fenders.
Those fender ft the 2007 rubicon or only the 2020
Will these work if your JT doesn't already have LEDs?
any solution for when washing the car using the pressure washer ?
What bumper is that
props for the Benny Hill music
Ha ha. Thanks.
Just for perspective, what size tires and lift are on the Jeep that you did the install on?
It is supposed to be a 2.5" lift, but it sits really low. It has 37's on it. Thanks for watching!
Great kit, this is my next purchase as well as your inner fenders. What wheels are those?
Awesome! I think those were Method's but can't remember off the top of my head...
Will these work for a jl sport ?
Does it work on the 21 willys fenders? They aren't as tall as Rubicon
this is only for a Rubicon that has a different fender than my JL Sport correct?
Can I just trim my liner to work with this ? I dont need to clearance just like the sleeker look
Yes, you definitely can. Take a look at the product page. You'll see the Trail Jeeps JL about 3/4 of the way down the page. That one is using the factory liner.
It's like owning a snap together model
Did you do anything to the rear to make them match?
Hey Kyle. Sorry I missed this when you asked this question. Yes, we remove the black trim from the flare and install our rear inner fenders. They match very well like that. americanadventurelab.com/product/jeep-jl-quick-release-rear-inner-fenders/
What front bumper is that?
Mannnn what headlights are those!
Yes, looks like our first bulk order will arrive in about a week to 10 days. We already have a pile of brackets here at the shop just waiting on the Next-Gen lights. Won’t be long now!!!
For the inner fender, do y'all think satin black or textured black would look better? String grey with non painted fender flares here.
Personally, I am a big fan of the textured black. That's what I put on the Gladiator and really like how it turned out.
Does it works with european models or exportation jeeps?
When purchasing do they come as a set ? Or should I order two?
I would live for you to order two, but you only need one. 😁😁 They do come as a set. Thanks for watching!
