Looks great! I have the mat version and like you, I decided to add the gas caps. A lot of collectors don't and I get why but to me it just adds that something something and it's more movie accurate of course.
The narrower cover does look a lot better than the original one. Makes me wish I'd ordered it after all, but originally I figured since i got the amazon version with the proper color, it wasn't necessary.
I ordered one just recently especially since it’s been revised- love that ramen toys cared enough to make even the minor fixes - this is a MUST to TOTALLY IMPROVE the look And value of this collectible

I would guess that perhaps movie concepts showed a different color cockpit. This happens a lot with toys. They get early concepts.

They have matte version for the amazon color too
Ramen has the matte version canopy with the revised design too - grab it!
