"When I carry a gun, you cannot deal with me by force. You have to use reason and try to persuade me, because I have a way to negate your threat or employment of force. The gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on equal footing with a 19-year old gangbanger, and a single gay guy on equal footing with a carload of drunk guys with baseball bats. The gun removes the disparity in physical strength, size, or numbers between a potential attacker and a defender." (Marko Kloos)

I remember once when I was in 3rd grade, we were reading a book as a class. My teacher was reading and when she came across the word 'shotgun' she replaced it with 'blank' like it was a bad word. Being outspoken as I was, I shouted out "why'd you blank out shotgun!?" She didn't take to kindly to that and sent me to the office. They gave me a detention for using 'violent terms'. And that was back in '02-'03. What she did was ignorant and wrong.

That's because of columbine in 99 2000 the world was going crazy and blaming guns and schools had metal detectors and you got searched and had to wear all your clothes tucked in. The early 2000s was the worst time to be in school I graduated 2003. Was graduating 8th grade and starting freshmen 9th grade when that happened. World was kind of like how it is now blaming guns on everything bad.

There is one thinng that i see as strange.
It is illegal to make your own SBR, but if you are willing to pay 200$, then it is fine.
So the SBR is not illegal, but defrauding the goverment of the tax is. The same with supressors, and many other things. If they were so bad, the would be illegal to own and make, but all your goverment wants is a tax, and then it is okay.
I see no point in unlicensed guns being illegal, but when the things that makes it okay is a tax, then soemthing is wrong.

I hunt and use my lever gun and shotgun but I don't need a carbine with a 30 round mag. no practical use will require one of those and either will carrying a handgun around with me at all times. it increases gun accidents and even when tradgaties like school shootings happen in gun free zones it's the fact that some physco had such easy access to that much firepower.

Canada is not safer because of strict gun laws. Back before the Quebec shooting that happened in the late 80s, there were barely any gun laws present and gun crime was almost unheard of. How does that stack up to today? Well we just had two major incidents involving guns (The Ottawa murder of the soldier and the Edmonton shooting). The laws didn't prevent those two things from happening, yet we're still about as safe as we were before the laws were put in place. It's clear as day.

Those were the days. In 2012 knives were banned in the UK. You couldn't leave the house with a knife longer than 3.5 inches. These days people are getting arrested for having a blunt potato peeler hidden in their pocket. No joke, someone is actually in court for that very thing in Scotland, has never attacked or threatened anyone or used it in a violent way. People are getting arrested for carrying a kitchen knife home from the store with a receipt and packaging, chefs are getting arrested for taking their knives to and from work whilst hidden in their bag. The judges are openly trying to push for forcing ALL knives sold, kitchen and otherwise, to have a rounded blunt tip so people can't be stabbed. 2012 where you would get arrested for knives longer than 3.5 inches and ANY form of gun or gun-looking object looks like freedom after seeing the state of the country in 2018. Shit, people are being arrested for mocking the police's propaganda photographs on twitter - again something which has happened multiple times.

That is because the Antichrist is English . He is known to the media as Prince Charles. About 20 years ago I saw an interview with him in which he said that his title fidei Defensor defender of the faith actually is simply defender of faith. He is very enamored of the Muhammadaean cult. Thinks it's wonderful.

The Soviet Union and all of it's puppet states are a joke and weren't even communist considering the fact by definition communism is a "stateless, moneyless, classless society". +7.62forge cant say about NI, but yes, there are many corrupt cops, many will take bribes in exchange for letting you off the hook for speeding or so, and a few are involved in organized crime themselves, but still 99% of the time they will do their part when it comes to respondong to situations. Corrupt cops are usually small town cops, where they can't get rid of the corrupt ones because they dont have anyone suitable to replace them. Federal and state police in the other hand, are much more serious. It all depends on where you go, the south of México is usually a lot rougher, because here corruption is in the state government itself.

That's all well and good in theory, but what are you going to do when the jackbooted thugs come to arrest you for violating a bullshit gun law? If you resist, there are only two ways it can end: you'll eventually be captured or killed (escape is a possibility too, but you'll be on the lam until you die or are captured, whichever comes first). You'd need a militia consisting of hundreds of thousands of armed people to stand a chance of fending off your local police force plus all of the backup they can call in, up to and including the Army National Guard and/or Air National Guard. One thing that they definitely won't do is just drop it and leave you alone.

This isn't a "law", but rather a really ridiculous rule that drives me insane: My local gun shop put a sign on the door proclaiming that all guns, unless concealed, must be unloaded and checked in with an employee at the door. I live in Pennsylvania. PA is an open carry state. This shop, which makes it's living on the 2nd Amendment and PA's gun laws, has decided to take the hypocritical route and infringe upon my open carry rights.
Yes, I realize that they are a private business and reserve the right to institute such rules on their property, but it really is annoying and stupid. I frequently open carry my GP 100 or my 1911, but I have to take them out of my holster, and lock them in my car, disarming myself, to go in and buy ammo for them at the very store from which I purchased them? Lame.
I started travelling out of town and ordering online instead. I don't support hypocrits, and I ended up finding a few shops with better stock and prices, too.
I also have to add that the Rossi RanchHand is one of my favorite guns. I have the .44 Magnum version, and it is a blast at the range, at least once I prove to the range officer that it is, in fact classified as a handgun by the ATF. They try to kick me off the pistol ranges almost every time. Thank god for smartphones, or I'd have to carry printed evidence at all times.

The UK law has changed (actually quite a while ago) - you cant even keep a handgun at a rage any more with the exception of flintlock and matchlock pistols which i dont know all the details of the law for. The law for keeping rifles and shotguns is different - you can keep them at your home but in a gun safe - and the amunition is supposed to be kept separate from the weapon. A police firearms officer has to verify the safety and security of storage before you can keep the shotgun/rifle in your house. You cant even get a medium power air-rifle in the UK without a firearms licence. 12lbft is the maximum allowed. For air pistols its 6lbft.

okay I'm from the UK I'm not getting at anyone I'm just setting things right. we cannot own handguns at all unless your in the military, for rifles you need a licence which riquires you to be a full member of a gun club for at least three months and you will be interviewed by local law inforcement to make sure your not some sort of maniac. plus you need to have all the guns and ammo locked away in separate lockable safes bolted to the wall. once you have the licence it only last five years then the process starts again, same for shotguns you just need a different sort of licence so you cant own a rifle and a shotgun on the same licence. however you don't need a licence for an air rifle with a power below 12 foot pounds or a blank fire or a deactivated gun for example I own two ww2 rifles that have the fireing pin removed and the brench blocked but you can cock, strip and dry fire they look perfectly real to a normal person I could rob a bank no problem lol, but yet I have to be apart of an airsoft club to own a bb gun that's the real colour of the gun its trying to be if I'm not I have to buy one thats Orange and blue and looks like a kids toy! so that's my view on UK gun laws, love you guys keep the awesome vids up

  • @ShinobuSakurazaka
    @ShinobuSakurazaka 6 років тому +1

Speaking as an American who knows a few UK gun owners Barry right that it is handguns that are secured at the range or shooting club because they don't see 'self-defence' as a reason to own a firearm. (which is BS)
Funny thing is that they have all these certificate and licence rubbish BUT apart from the initial check to ensure they have a gun safe that can safely store the firearms you own they very rarely get inspected.
Adding new firearms to their certificate (because every firearm must be listed) is just done through a postal form and so long as they put "collectable" or "sporting" as the reason then the firearm usually gets approved.
The ONLY time they get checked is where their certificate needs to be renewed and that's just to ensure you keep your firearms secured in the gun safe when not in use so they have a bunch of BS gun laws that aren't even properly enforced.

While I really am not fond of the right wing (or the left for that matter), I do agree that gun regulations in some areas are ridiculous. I'm all in favor of reasonable gun regulations. I repeat, reasonable. I don't think guns should be taken away or damn near impossible to own in a practical manner, but nor do I think that just anyone should be able to walk in and buy a gun. There should be a requirement that you have to have taken safety courses, and maybe even some basic training depending on what kind of gun you're purchasing; fully automatic firearms for example.
I love guns. I'm not into hunting, but I love skeet shooting and target shooting. And I'm not about to let some ass-wipe, who's never fired a gun in their life, to try and take that enjoyment away from me. If I am responsible with my weapons and go through the proper procedures of handling and purchasing a a firearm, nobody has the right to take them away from me.

I like guns, I also think everyone should be armed and know how to fight. But I do fail to see why any civilian needs to own an automatic firearm. Especially when they really only waste ammo if you are not trained to use them. Semi-auto or burst fire weapons are far more effective at putting down an attacker, and wont eat through your ammo.
Remember, autofire is really intended for suppressing fire, not making a kill. It's meant to keep people in cover. Semiauto is meant for quickly dispatching an enemy.

There are checks and balances one must go through to legally obtain one. Then there is the money you must pay. Back to good old money!!! You can even own and play with grenades providing government paperwork and money is passed around. So these folks that want them go through all of the hoops to be legal. It is their form of recreation or hobby. I don't know recently of any one who used a full auto legally obtained in a felonious act. Do I need one? No, but I sure wish I could afford a M-2 Browning. ace198319, I can see your reasoning. The framing of our country happened more than two hundred years ago. The founders in all their wisdom did not frame it with today in mind. There is great value in what America was, just as there is value in every country's history. But history offers lessons, that should be learned and applied (by today's citizenry), it does not offer fool-proof, guaranteed methods for success. So, I refuse to accept that 100% of our early legislature is correct and not to be questioned. And I most certainly refuse to recognize anyone labeling U.S. citizens as "un-American" based on their opinions rather than actions.

Then I thought about it and was like "Yeah, that would be pretty sweet to go and just lay down a whole box of 12 ga. out of a USAS 12 or some other full auto shotgun." So I agree, I think it would be a whole lot less of a problem. A decent interim solution might be to keep the tax stamp, but allow the sale of newly manufactured full auto firearms. Not perfect, but possibly attainable.

In the uk you cannot have hand guns on the main land only on the islands around it. On the mainland you have 2 different licences , a shotgun licence ,and a fire arms certificate. With a shotgun licence you can buy a double barrel or semi or pump aslong as it cannot hold more than 3 rounds (2 in the tube+1 in the chamber). With a fire arms certificate you can have practically anything apart from full auto and pistols but you can have a long barreled postol which is a pistol that cant be semiauto with a long barrel or suppressor with a arm brace, rifles like a 50cal can only be shot at a range that is approved, also no rifle can be a semi or full auto. And to apply for any licence you must go through local police firearms officer and they check your safe by pulling on it to make sure it is bolted to the wall and out of public view
