Another heirloom quality piece! You continue to inspire and amaze me. Thank you for the peek over your shoulder, and your generosity with your talent as you craft one remarkable tool after another. Keep up the great work! Be well.
You make some of the most beautiful designed and looking tools on the whole UA-cam world. To spend a day in your shop would be an awesome experience! Love your videos. Keep the tools coming and amazing us. Thank you for all the inspiration. Mark
Another beauty. I've come to expect nothing less. I wish I could afford to buy a plane or several from you. Nothing more pleasurable than working with a functional piece of art.
Dear Sir, As always, your planers are hand made with a great deal of finesse. I am somewhat surprised that with the kind of high standard of your work you do not sell them to local craftsmen. The quality of your work is irreproachable & would give it's user an immense pleasure using them for many years to come. Kind regards.
Great video! maybe I missed one before, but I always thought you'd end up making a blade yourself ;) I bet that blade will hold an edge really well after that tempering too
My takeaway is that you demonstrate making heirloom planes with tools common in a lot of woodworking shops. That makes emulation possible for your audience without investment in metal fabrication tooling. Well done and thank you!
The steel surface of the planer guarantees precision and longevity. You presented an impressive process of construction, sharpening and polishing of a planer knife and other assortments. Admirable work, congratulations 👌.
I have watched several of your builds and as usual you did a great job. Any Craftsman would be proud to have a collection of hand made tools like yours. Do have one question, where do you get the rear blade adjuster?
I really like your style of plane! I have been contemplating making one, but the other designs I do not appeal to me. I like that you use screws to secure the sole to the base of the body, then flattened the plane afterwards. Beautiful finish, also.
Young Je, you are a great inspiration to me.I love watching your videos because you are a great teacher. Do you ever take on an old (65 yrs old) intern?
great job,,,,very enjoyable video.........would be interested to know how many of these you have made in the past to reach this level of precision and quality craftsmanship....thanks...any information would be greatly appreciated....
I thought this was cool until 9:25 when I noticed the homemade wooden vice. Then I looked at your videos and saw that you not only show how to make it, but tons of other tools! You are awesome, and I am subbed
I'm curious about one detail, how come you didn't countersink the bottom plates? I would think that the heat generated from leveling the screws would affect the epoxy bond negatively, i may be wrong though. Regardless of that, what a remarkable result, that design of plane is one i would love to have in my own shop.
You have made soo many beautiful planes...... I think I am going to go make one too. I have the materials, the " want to ", just don't have any nice wood. But, I do have some oak and cherry. Really love your work
fantastic, I do not have time to make this device but, it is must watch video because I learned a lot from it. It is an art with different type of skills. thanks for the video
My favorite thing about your videos is that each one has you using tools you built previously. Tools making tools making tools making tools.
Another heirloom quality piece! You continue to inspire and amaze me. Thank you for the peek over your shoulder, and your generosity with your talent as you craft one remarkable tool after another. Keep up the great work! Be well.
Estou impressionado com a sua habilidade em fazer plainas de madeira. Parabéns !
You are the best. I love watching you mix wood and steel to come up with a masterpiece. Thank you for sharing your talent and experience.
Your built hand planer looks much better than a purchased hand planer.

I feel like I’m learning, just watching and seeing your process! You’ve inspired me to try to make my own plane! Thank you for such wonderful content!

Have you stopped building as much? I love your videos. A true master craftsman that makes art with minimal tools.

Amazon workmanship! One Quico question: where did you get the mechanism for the blade? Did you make that as well?
That is amazing!
Amazing work! Saludos desde Argentina.
Another piece of art. 😉
Your work is inspiring, sir.
This is an absolute work of art. Incredible.
I really like your style of plane! I have been contemplating making one, but the other designs I do not appeal to me. I like that you use screws to secure the sole to the base of the body, then flattened the plane afterwards. Beautiful finish, also.
Beautiful and practical, well done.
Are you using a specific set of brass hardware for the planes you have made?
Well done. Most impressive.
Бентли среди рубанков! Не устану повторять - золотые руки у мастера!
What an absolute thing of beauty and function congratulations
How did you center the groove so well on the router table with a straight bit?
What kind of square are you using ? Great video nothing like building more tools with tools you have constructed
Magnifique !
