Best demonstration I’ve seen for any of my f150 fixes.
Clear, concise demonstration. Showed exactly what to do, and how to do it. Thanks for a useful youtube video.
Thanks so much!! I watched this video 1st, then before even taking anything apart, I just ordered a kit from eBay. Took the cowlings apart and sure enough the plastic fittings were dry rotted and cracked open. Put it back together with new parts and it's like I'm spraying a garden hose on my windshield now. Fixed it like brand new for 10 bucks! Glad I did this before purchasing a new windshield washer motor. Thanks again for a great video!!! The new kit came with the better brass tipped nozzles and I can adjust them to aim the spray perfectly on my windshield.
Great Video.... Also Nice Vette ;)
Thank you for sharing. I enjoy your meal. You’re very educational.
First video I watched and I'm certain that I have everything I need to know now thanks to your excellent coverage. I suspect that my "Y" fitting has failed also because when I blow air into the line I hear all the air flow out under the cowling before it gets to the spray nozzle. But I had no idea of how to remove the cowling and you have shown that it will be quite simple. Thanks so much for saving me one hundred dollars or more taking to the shop.
Let me know how it turns out.
Fantastic video! Thank you, very much!
Perfect video. Just what I needed. Thanks.
Thanks for posting!
Well done!
Great help
great help thanks!
Excellent!
Thanks for the help
Excellent tutorial. My '94 F150 hasn't had a clean windshield since I bought it 🤣
You’ll definitely have clear vision after this repair - happy fixing!
Very helpful
Thank you
Great explanation!
Thank you
Thank you, will be trying this today
Fantastic - keep me posted on the results.
On the cowl here are 3 hooks next to the glass that need to be unhooked. They hook to a sheet metal. This video did not address those clips at all. But it is a good video and I had exactly the same problem, I bought a Y at advance auto in a kit. It was 6$
Has anyone had any luck finding a kit for a 2001 f150? im really only seeing 04-13 everywhere on amazon and ebay
i can't find one for a 2018 F150
When removing the trip plug, place the screwdriver UNDER the cowling to avoid cracking the head of the plug. After loosening everything, push DOWN on the windshield side of the cowling while lifting up on the engine side. That was an important step missed in the video.
Mannnn, Been needing something like this. Mine hasn’t worked for two years. Question though. I’ve got a small drip 1,2,3 drip leak directly where the hose connects to the reservoir. But I get ZERO fluid from the nozzles. That couldn’t be the total loss of pressure right? I tried to blow compressed air into the hose and some crusty dry flakes. some out.
Zero fluid out of the nozzle and a leak at the reservoir hose would equal a loss of pressure. Replace the reservoir hose to seal the line and then you can further diagnose the system if it’s still failing.
Does this kit work for f-150 2016?
No it does not, it’s meant for 2005 to 2013. However, for ease of searching just hit the product link that I have in the description and change the search parameter to your year.
What tool did you use to trim the hose to the right length you needed?
Scissors or a utility knife is what I use.
@Your Home Garage thank you. Got it done today but figured out after it needed a pump as well but rolling with some water fluid now!!!
Sorry that you need a new pump - but you’re getting there. At least you’re solving the issues ones step at a time.
Where can I get the kit sir
I placed a link the the description - my kit was ordered off of Amazon.
TRUCK YEAR ???
2005
Ford stinks for making this so difficult. And probably costly if you take it in to have it done.
Don't skip over things. Do not assume I know what i'm doing. show the complete removal of the cowling. Almost a great video. thanks
Thanks for the helpful tip - I’ll make sure I’m more thorough when creating content.
Dude if you can't figure it out from that video you shouldn't be trying to repair it yourself...........Jus' Sayin
@@Russ11566 Dude I checked a different video to learn an important step that was omitted from this one. Maybe you should save the snark.
0:03 I usually check comments to make sure nothing was missed in the original video and wish I had done it this time cause I broke a couple clips on the cowling. I thought mine was stuck due age of truck
@@cliffabbottidk about that one PAL other dude was a straight forward dick so he hit him with the same energy. Maybe the original commenter should have rephrased it in a nicer manner
