2007 Ford F150 Windshield Washer Pump Replacement

  • Опубліковано 19 вер 2019
  • In this video, I show you how to replace a 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 F150 Washer Fluid Pump and Nozels. My 2006 F150 started having problems with the windshield washer fluid pump a while ago, and I’m just now getting around to fixing it.
    The process is relatively easy, but I would suggest you go ahead and replace the pump and the nozzles at the same time. The parts aren’t very expensive, and its easiest to just replace them all at the same time.

    I am not a great auto mechanic but I can do small stuff on new cars and a little more on older ones. This video walked me through the steps perfectly, saved me a lot of time and head scratching not to mention money. Very well done video, clear instructions with really good video. Checked the splitter first and it was bad obviously the heat from the engine bakes those dudes . I follow the rule check the easiest thing to first, which you identified. Keep up the good work.

    Fantastic example I Am A Fixer! That was an excellent video where you walked through the steps nice and easy. It's very helpful to show what doesn't work along with the final fix rather than a one-minute video of straight success. :-)
    We have a 2004 Ford Expedition and, although not the exact same design, I expect that we have a Y-splitter at the front windshield too (will have to check). We also have an additional window washer at the back Liftgate so there were two tubes coming out of the washer fluid reservoir pump with one tube running back through the roof to the Liftgate and the other tube up to the Y-splitter for the front windshield. Obviously, the washer motor is a slightly different part.
    One thing that could be added would be checking the related fuses in the fuse panel and I think you can tell if the motor is running in that it will make a little vibration and/or noise.

    Weird because the driver's side was working for a bit then they both petered out a dribble. BTW a carefully placed stainless screw will hold the 2 covers together (just under the hood lip).

    Do these pumps leak at all? I took my entire reservoir off, filled it in my bathtub, plugged the drain and no leaks whatsoever. I put it back on the truck and it leaks. It feels like it’s leaking from the bottom of the pump, but it feels dry at the hose outlet, I’m stumped, any ideas you could help me with? Great channel btw thank you. Oh P.S. I did replace my SERIOUSLY clogged nozzles.

    • @IAmAFixer
      @IAmAFixer  3 роки тому +1

      It is possible that when you get it installed, the connector is causing the pump to not sit in the hole correctly? Maybe leaking around it.
