Bio:
Classical guitarist Michael Lucarelli has performed throughout the U.S. for over 35 years. He’s known for his diverse programming and expressive style, tastefully blending classical, popular, Rock and jazz standards, as well as his original guitar compositions.
Aside from the concert stage, he’s entertained in such prestigious venues as The St. Regis Resort, Waldorf Astoria, Westin La Paloma, MGM Grand, Bellagio, the Venetian, Canyon Ranch, Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, the historic Arizona Inn, and The Ritz Carlton, to name a few.
He’s an annual favorite at The Sundance Film Festival where he’s entertained for industry notables such as Steven Spielberg, Dreamworks Animation, Arts & Entertainment.
Michael has performed for corporate events since 1985. Some of his clients include: IBM, Verizon, Toyota, Microsoft, and the list goes on!
Mr. Lucarelli was a featured performer at Mitt Romney’s Republican National Fundraiser during his 2012 presidential campaign.
Michael was a finalist in The Norman Sholin Guitar Competition, and has made numerous radio and television appearances including CBS’s Touched By An Angel. His music videos have earned him a respectable following on UA-cam with 60 million views and 136,000 subscribers, and twice received an Individual Artist grant from The National Endowment of the Arts.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Michael Lucarelli began his musical education on the electric guitar, but later discovered the classical guitar, and began his studies with Peruvian guitarist Ricardo Linares. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Music degree from The University of Utah, and in 1992, completed his Masters at The University of Arizona in guitar performance.
Aside from being a critically acclaimed guitar soloist, Michael’s 23 CDs continue to receive enthusiastic reviews from fans world-wide.
Beautiful. Our daughter's name was Elise, named after Beethoven's Für Elise. She died of a childhood cancer called neuroblastoma at age 17 after a six-year battle. So this piece of music means a lot to us.

Absolutly breath taking, I'm in my beginning stages of learning Classical finger style playing, I played electric for 5 years then I listened and researched to Randy Rhoads and then wanted to follow in his footsteps and go get my masters degree in classical guitar, so thank you for the inspiration!!!!

he passed away.

This song is a must-learn for any musician because it never fails to get people to turn their heads. Everybody from young to old recognizes it and appreciates it when they hear it.

Michael Lucarelli Michael, I just would like to let you know I've been a fan of yours for a number of years now, after discovering your incredible rendition of Malaguena and sharing it with breathless excitement with everyone I know in my Indiana farming/factory town (other moms who have children who study guitar in other words) and I've noticed that you often make personalized responses to people's comments, negative and positive. I applaud your persistent interest in the commentary of your fans as well as your rational, diplomatic responses to people who are critical.....its not the criticism that bugs me so much as the whiny tone people adopt, usually about a very subtle nuance or interpretation on your part that they, were they recording, would have done differently.. I wanna flip out on them, I mean go record it how you want already but let this guy do his incredible thing, however for the most part you'll be happy to know I keep my mouth in check. Anyway, your recordings are balm to a sorrowing heart, and they are forever on my mp3 player.
I do not completely understand the whiny vindictive tone so many who post comments use. Like it, dislike it but stop on the ad hominem abuse...I mean music, it has both subjective and objective aspects. Just enjoy or dig deep. It is just music...

Nice performance but he missed some notes.
Therefore, people who play an instrument like me (so not you, Richard) can tell that is a sacrilege play a symphony write for piano on a classic guitar.
- You can't reach all the notes
- You can't have the same melody
- You can easily see that he struggle to play the song becuse, as i said, It is not a symphony for Guitar.
Just hear carefully at the original and you'll understand by yourself.
