This was pretty helpful, thanks. I'm babysitting for the first time for a non family member and I'm looking after two 1 year olds while I'm used to my niece and nephew who are 6 and 4! Obviously there's a few things on your list that I wouldn't do at someone else's house but it was still a great reminder for where the kids will be at in development and what they'll enjoy!
You are so attentive to your child! Thank you for sharing your experience. It will really help me be a better Chacha to my nephew! Thanks again, Emily!
Lots of people commenting seems upset about Emily not giving Caleb's exact age. Interestingly, in videos where moms do this, people get annoyed that they are giving age in months and not years. To people concerned about the developmental stage, as you must know, kids are different...some are even born with one or two teeth! And the McClure boy is a good example of an infant walking before he's one. Caleb's 2nd, 3rd and 4th birthday videos are uploaded in october. Maybe that's his birth month. This video was uploaded in Jan. So maybe he is 15 months old in this.
this was so helpful thank you!! i’m 16 but my sister is nearly 17 months old and i try to keep her occupied so my mum can do stuff around the house, i’ll definitely try some of these with her!! ☺️
Thank you so much for a video with fun but simple ideas, there's nothing complicated or expensive and your beautiful boy seems to be loving them. I'll be sure to try some of these out with my now 14mth old 😊
I do online schooling and am easily distracted by my son and unable to do work but now I am able to finish most of my exams and assignments thanks to you 😁
It’s funny watching older videos. You thought 12 thousand people watching your videos was a lot and this one currently has 542 thousand and will probably be in the millions in a couple of years! So Crazy but completely understandable !! Thanks for the countless ideas and advice!!
My 1 yr old would never sit in the sink like that! He'd be over the edge in seconds! He's also not walking and way tinyer than your lad! I hope he's developing ok! Thanks for all the tips this is a challenge some days! 🤯 xx
Thank you for sharing I have tried these with my 1 year old and he loves them mainly the foil blanket it has really helped alot as I do online schooling I would have never thought of half the things that you mentioned
My baby's pediatrician once told me: just the fact you're worried (or here watching that video in your case) already means you're a good mom. We may not know all, but we do try to do the best.
O my gosh!!!! Emily he has grown so much...such a cutie pie!!! and I love how his big brother is playing with him! Such a great way for them to bond as well. I am definetly gonna try these out when Zephan (6months now) is that age.
Great video, I really enjoyed your 6 month one too, its always good to get more ideas from others about how to entertain my little man, Caleb is very well developed and seems to be much more switched on than many other 1 year olds, must be your wonderful influence!! You're a natural at this and ignore some of the silly comments, you're obviously a fantastic mummy!!
+matt harris Thanks so much Matt - I do think he's a little forward as he's desperately trying to copy his older brother! Ha. Thank you for watching and the comment xx
my baby is just about to turn 1 and this is SO helpful! we live in a tiny little house, so we spend all our time in the living room, and I really needed some new ideas for my poor kiddo who is starting to get quite bored of the same old toys and books in the living room! thank you for sharing!
Appreciate your video..love thw crinkly blanket idea. I enjoy the pots and pans too but my husband isn't a fan haha. Im totally gonna try the slime! Thanks:)
My baby refuse to play with his normal toys. He enjoys digging my trashbin, opening my kitchen and room drawer, playing with my pots and baking tray and tools, open his cabinet and throw out his clothes, playing with my husband computer, cables, and his stuffs, playing water anywhere he can find especially if I forgot to close my toilet door he will play the water in the toilet bowl!, he enjoys playing at the playground too, grabbing leaves, sands, stones whatever he can find and put into his mouth to taste, oh he enjoy fighting over tv remote, plug off tv cables or any cables that attached on the wall. Sometimes I was surprised why my tv suddenly shut off. I guess it's good that my baby is so active? For now I have to lock my drawers using my husband belts. So he won't be able to dig the trashbin. I hope my baby is normal and new mom experiencing this too??
Farrah Nadiah Othman hi my 1 year old loves the kitchen cabinets opening the dish washer n playing with the cutlery n pans going into the trash bin pretty much everything your baby does so yea I think it’s normal 😂 I’m a first time mum too
Just rewatching some oldies...as I'm up because not been too well. Quinsy and antibiotics intolerance.😰 Just thought I'd comment because I though it was so cute that you were so excited about 12,000 views. Drop in the ocean for you now.❤️ Huge well done. I've watched you for years. Love Em from The Parent Pack x
Lots of wishes for you and family I am just so addicted to your videos Great ideas You inspire ppl to be real rather than being glittery from outer side (hope that make sense lol)
Hello Emily, This is just a wonderful video. Thank you for all these ideas. I have already started imagining doing all these activities with my 1 year old. your ideas are out of the box and please keep up the good work.
Great ideas. I have a question about the second one, is he not tempted to eat the slime? I think mine would mistake it for his breakfast lol I like the foil blanket idea though.
You will regret this believe me hahaah. Then she will run with no balance like a headless chicken and she will find every unprotected sharp edges with ease.
Hi. I'm a new subscriber. Have you already done (or can you do) a video on sleep training a 13 month old that refuses to go to bed before midnight? I have not tried letting him cry it out, but I may be desperate enough shortly. Desperately need help on this.
Thank you so much I am babysitting a one year old for the first time ever and it is also my first time babysitting this helped so much
Girl you shouldn’t babysit a 1yo for your first time! I babysit a one year old, but I started with a four year old.
Same
@@leilasworld4573 girl what? There’s no rule that says you can’t start with a 1 year old😂😂😂
I’m baby sitting a one yr old
I babysit a one and five year old, but i did start with a 7 and 9 year old

I feel like such a bad mom because I can't think of these things for my baby to do. 😞
remember, the internet is your "village"!
You are not a bad mom. Very few of us think of this on our own. That’s what youtube is for 😉
