Ow, hit so hard, "to always trust your mother's instinct". I had a feeling that my 7 month old daughters squinting and grimasing wasn't good, but heard from everyone around that she's going through a neurological phase. The pediatricians said the same. But when she was 8 month I couldn't take that feeling of something being very wrong and I took her to the emergency care ward for children (against everyone elses wishes). Had an amazing doctor who did everything, EEGs, EKG, blood samples.. And an MR. The MR found a brain tumour the size of a peanut in her tiny cerebellum. It was surgically removed when she was 14 months as it grew fast, and then a second surgery at 18 months as the tumour grew back. Today she's cancer free and none the wiser, taking on life like a trooper. All thanks to mother's instinct, I guess. :) Thank you for voicing the importance of listening inwards Emily!!!
i’m 14 and my mums pregnant, getting induced tomorrow, i’m just watching as many vids i can so i can help and keep it as simple and as less stressful as possible(i know that’s hard as i’m the oldest of 3 already😂)
Play a song to calm the baby in your Mom's belly. When the baby is born, play the same song. Babies always remember music. Also, sing to the baby. My ladies are 17 and a few weeks ago I played the song I used to sing for them. They broke down in tears. Music reaches a place most things can't. All of my children grew up with music. Your siblings are blessed to have such a wonderful big sister. GOD bless your family.

I'm 9 weeks pregnant with my first baby I'm gonna be a single mum but I'm not bothered the love of my life is right in my stomach growing and I'm so in love with her I can't wait till I hold my little angel in my arms
Just an update i have 5 weeks to go till my little boy is here i cant i forgot I even commented on this video all those months ago and just came across it now and look whos comment was in the section 😂 your video really is helpful and im glad that i have your great advise 😁😊
Paediatrician here on a neonatal placement. Kind of stumbled onto you video and was totally ready to "debunk" some recommendations but you hit everything on the money!!! Fantastic video with great tips and everything is very factual!! Well done. I'll recommend new parents to come here :)
As a mom of 4, I like a lot of these hacks. As a pediatrician, I have seen several babies burned while being worn while cooking, and an unexpected splash occurred. Also, there should be nothing in the crib except for a fitted sheet. Also stocking paracetamol or acetaminophen is ok, but if a newborn has a fever, it is considered a medical emergency, and the baby should be seen immediately to evaluate for a serious bacterial infection, such as meningitis. I liked the other tips, though! My older kids often acted as the "germ police" also! :)
I just got into "wearing" my baby and she's been with me while I do everything EXCEPT cooking for this very reason! Even when I'm making something really simple that won't splash up, i take her off anyways just in case because you never know!
My Pocket Pediatrician a mild fever isn’t indicative of anything serious and it’s best to not administer Tylenol, as this depletes the body’s antioxidants in order to detoxify chemicals
@@hannahscott6604 I don't know what you mean by "mild fever", but anything over 100.4 could indicate sepsis, or a serious bacterial infection like meningitis, which can be rapidly fatal. if a baby under 30 days has a fever higher than 100.4, they need to go to the hospital, get bloodwork, a urine test, and a spinal tap. Fever must be taken seriously in all babies under 6 months. The consequences of missing the diagnosis can be fatal.
As a newborn father, I wanted to compliment you on this video: very well done! I learned a few neat tricks in this video; equally due just kudos is your creativity with that baby change roll with the socks. Thank you!
I'm a father of a beautiful 1 week old girl and she keeps me worried every minute she makes the slightest sound this has been very helpful thank you so much
Almost 3 weeks here. Your post is 8 months old so I'm sure things are going great with your little one. Im thankful for content like this, after a few days you learn the rhythm
Currently in your shoes and 2 days in. I really really some piece of your advice and experience. Am unable to sleep and it's affecting my work. Any slight movement and am up. Am turning into a mess.
social parasite haha you’re so right, my daughter just turned 6 weeks old and no word of a lie all photos she seems angry or grumpy lol, whether she’s grumpy about being introduced to the world I do not know 😂😂😂
So so so many amazing tips in this video. I am about to be a mum for the second time and even then I did not know many of these. Excited to try these out ... What a geek am I?
With my daughter we place a clean nappy underneath the old one before changing so that any accidents mid change are always caught in the new nappy and saved a mad clean up especially in the night during the early days. I love your videos and you're such an amazing mum.
This was great. As a dad to be with a month to go before due, I really appreciate this. Nothing cheesy, no old lady teaching you, and most importantly honest good advice.
Nadiya Nanoha So long as blankets aren't loose there shouldn't be an issue she was doing a quick demo so it's important to keep that in mind, also I imagine the toys would be removed before baby goes to sleep.
What a beautiful bunch of baby hacks! I'm a nanny and a mom. I must say that I love your "trust your gut" instinct. That is the best advice for new moms! I love the clothing bundles! What an awesome way to keep an outfit altogether! I never thought to remove a messy onesie by sliding it down instead! Thank you!
I’m not due for quite awhile and I’m still freaking out because I don’t know how to care for a baby. Videos like yours help so much. I’ve seen so many other channels that only suggest items that are outrageously expensive, with very little baby info involved. It’s nice seeing someone that cares for the babies and the parents and I understands the prices
I was laughing at that because I've only seen it on pinterest for how to make a civvies roll for the military (t-shirt, underwear and socks) - I never thought about applying it to other things like this!
one more thing I'd add to the clothing bundle is a clean diaper so it's all in one place so you can just grab it out of the diaper bag and not have to worry about trying to find a clean diaper in the bag. Also great if you have more than one child using the same diaper bag but different size diapers
Oriana Waldren nope I came up with same idea after my c section and my hubby went back to work. Since I was in pain and couldn't walk often I kept the things needed close to me
Man, these informations are greatly helpful to a brand NEW DAD! Yes, my baby just born 3 days AGO! My wife and I have a long way to go to keep my baby healthy! Thank you for publishing these very important informations! I love it!
As a newborn father, I'm glad to know that I'm doing everything right so far. Was looking for new tricks and tips and found out that I'm already doing all of these except the bundle of clothes part but I will soon be doing it. Thank you.
Lavender can be your best friend! It helps sooth the baby and help them sleep. A little eucalyptus oil in a diffuser can help them breathe at night when they are stuffed up.
I had my first at 18, I used terry towelling nappies which I boiled in a Baby Burco and I boiled bottles and teats on the hob. Everything is easier now, disposables were rubbish then. So, I learned every nappy folding technique, I bought study bottles which, not only stood up to boiling but getting lobbed across the room when they got bigger! Cheap ones, I’ve found, break at the screw top. You don’t want milk in your carpets, especially if you live in the first floor and you have floorboards! Rancid, sour milk smell takes some treatment to eradicate, learned fast. Mother’s intuition is everything, not only when they’re sick but I used to say what time he’d wake up, be right and pee off the older mothers! I was looked down upon but I put so much work in, researching everything, before it hit me like a speeding buffalo. So, researching helped but not as much as my intuition did. Trust yourself. I haven't been blessed with a little bundle of joy just yet. But I loved this video. My sister has five boys and I've taken care of all of them - but there were some things that this video did really help me with once when my Fiancé and I are blessed with a little one. Thank you!
Good advice Emily, I agree with absolutely everything you've said! I worry about mums getting over-reliant on breastfeeding apps when, as you say, just switching a bracelet or clip from one side to the other is all that's needed.
I have older children however you have fantastic ideas thanks sharing. I like to add don't forget to print out some of your beautiful baby pictures from time to time, just in case.
I stocked up on so much when I was heavily pregnant with my youngest (2nd child) but rolling up the clothes like that is an amazing idea! It's so true as well that they aren't newborns for long, my youngest is 6 months now :(
It has been 11 1/2 years since my twins were baby's. You have GREATLY refreshed my knowledge and have TOUGHT me an few NEW things. Thank you so much! Also.... Your baby is sooooo CUUUUUUTE!!!!!!
When my baby boy was in womb he used to react Everytime we used to call him grumpy. He's one month old now and happy all the time but still our grumpy 😂
'If in doubt - get it out!' haha love it. LOVE the baby bundle wrap up! I know this is an old one of yours, but it's still brilliant! Thank you. I've got a 2 week old baby boy, Joshua!
OMG “nibble on their nails!!!” I thought I was a weirdo for doing this to my daughter for that reason! Glad to know it’s not THAT weird.. lol anybody else do that too????
Ahh! Making me want another baby🙈 my son is 2 on Saturday & im missing him being so small... a lot of my friends have newborns!! I'm just going to have to wait until my fiancé is ready for another, he's happy with just one for now haha! Xx
This will be my first boy after three daughters and the age difference is really massive 17,14 and 7 and a new born (soon). These tips are amazing. Thank you
Wish I had of known the rolling his outfit up into the socks when Harry was tiny, that was great,so compact. When Harry got his first cold at 5 months I was using the saline drops, but my GP told me it can cause sinus problems a lot later on. He's just had two colds and really struggled with his nose. Did you use them on Frazer and Caleb,if you did they seem OK. Jackson is the cutest and those eyes when he's awake, omg I miss the newborn stage. Xx
The biting the babies nails freaks me out. "Clippers could leave edges" ok, so biting them doesnt? I never bit my sons nails. Just clippers and nail files.
Tip number 0! Don't flash your baby eyes with light like that!!! You are making baby hacks video, thats really great but keep in mind that sharp light you need for great shoots is not that great for still not fully ready eyes!!!
I’m a first time mom to be. Currently just past 14 weeks and just found out I’m having a sweet baby boy too! These tips really helped me I’ve been looking for sound advice as I don’t have much family or friends available. Thank you for this video 🥰
fab tips Emily! I will deffo be layering the bedding for changing and making up those little clothes bundles! Our HV told us off for nibbling Ted's nails saying we could introduce infections which is odd as I was told by so many people to nibble them rather than cutting. xxx
I ended up using a gentle nail file in the end with Ted and it worked quite well. The sleepsuits with scratch mits built in are the best though we have so many for baby girl :)
Jacqueline Pata i was told to NOT nibble the nails as you can pass bacteria to infant if u were to accidentally bite a little bit of skin. I did this once and son wound up with infection in his finger. Best to use a fine grit nail file or emery board.
I'm 9wks pregnant with my third, this video made me cry at the end, it's so true :) I'm super excited for my new edition to be here now. I know I've done it twice before but this video really helped bring it all back x
When referencing temperatures be sure to point out Celsius or Fahrenheit. It would be terrible to put your baby in 37 degree(Fahrenheit) water, but ideal for 37 degree Celsius. (98.6 degrees Fahrenheit is 37 degrees Celsius.)
I wish I watched this video earlier it would really save me so much time figuring all these things out by myself. I ll share with my pregnant friends lol thank you!
Thanks for making this! Brand new first time mama (10 day old little boy) and didn't have the advantage of an in-person parenting class because of the pandemic. The winding and clothing bundling tips you gave were especially helpful! I think our little one may have a stuffed up nose, so I'll have to try the saline solution too. Thanks so much! ♡
Just found out I’m coming up 8 weeks, clicked on this video to find out what I’m in for...no idea what you’ve been saying for the last 7 mins - that little bubba is so gorgeous, he has me all mooshy! 😍

I stocked up on so much when I was heavily pregnant with my youngest (2nd child) but rolling up the clothes like that is an amazing idea! It's so true as well that they aren't newborns for long, my youngest is 6 months now :(
As a father I can tell this is the most complete and useful video I’ve seen yet! Thanks 😊
going to have my first in 3 months..I'm really terrified !!
I actually think you have saved my life. Parenthood seems easy now lol
It has been 11 1/2 years since my twins were baby's. You have GREATLY refreshed my knowledge and have TOUGHT me an few NEW things. Thank you so much! Also.... Your baby is sooooo CUUUUUUTE!!!!!!
I want my baby here now my baby will be born on thanksgiving this year
Haha! I was born on black friday, so I am a cheap baby. Just imagine you got a discount for having a child on Black Friday lol
4:30 😂😂😂 bruh that kid looks like he really tryna figure out why she’s recording him instead of holding him from going down in that water 😂
When my baby boy was in womb he used to react Everytime we used to call him grumpy. He's one month old now and happy all the time but still our grumpy 😂
Agh he's so handsome! I just wanna give him a cuddle - with clean hands of course! 😂💖
'If in doubt - get it out!' haha love it. LOVE the baby bundle wrap up! I know this is an old one of yours, but it's still brilliant! Thank you. I've got a 2 week old baby boy, Joshua!
Great tips Hun. Jackson is so bloomin cute. 😍 you are doing amazing with your 3 boys. Xx

Thank you for sharing!!!! I'm due June 10th. I've learned alot from watching this
I like the sheets idea, thank you!
OMG “nibble on their nails!!!” I thought I was a weirdo for doing this to my daughter for that reason! Glad to know it’s not THAT weird.. lol anybody else do that too????
It's. Pretty. Freaking.weird.
Ahh! Making me want another baby🙈 my son is 2 on Saturday & im missing him being so small... a lot of my friends have newborns!! I'm just going to have to wait until my fiancé is ready for another, he's happy with just one for now haha! Xx
I want another one as well. Mine is almost 3!
I’m 12 yrs old and I wanna have a baby soo bad 😫 I wish I can have a baby now.
I miss when my baby Thali was a newborn. 😢 now she's 6 months 😭
Same my son is 3 months he's growing up too fast.
Now I can’t wait to get old your baby is sooooo cute😁😁😁
Thank you Emily. I'm due in 7 weeks 🙈 and all the tips are great for first time mommy like me. Congratulations on your growing family 😘
+Rukshana Yesmine Jalil congratulations and good luck xx
Thank you 😝
First week and a half of my kid at home, what would we do without that BOPPY LOUNGER
Fact
This will be my first boy after three daughters and the age difference is really massive 17,14 and 7 and a new born (soon). These tips are amazing. Thank you
I have 3 kids too. 18,16, 8 and now 9 weeks pregnant.
As an American I was a bit concerned when she said 37° and 19° 😂🤦🏽♀️
She aint even say degrees she just said number TF
Yeah, that's Celcius for you.
Xx
Aw we use them - Jackson has a little cold at the moment and I spray it before he feeds if he's really struggling xx

I LOVE the change of clothes roll-up idea! Thank you! Such a sweet and helpful video. Mine is now 7 weeks but a lot of this is still useful.
good advices. don't have a baby though. got a bunny 🐰. she likes to be carried too
The biting the babies nails freaks me out. "Clippers could leave edges" ok, so biting them doesnt? I never bit my sons nails. Just clippers and nail files.
Please do more of these! I'm 12 and I love to see your family grow and grow! Xoxo
Tip number 0! Don't flash your baby eyes with light like that!!! You are making baby hacks video, thats really great but keep in mind that sharp light you need for great shoots is not that great for still not fully ready eyes!!!
Awwww he is super cute this has us so excited to meet our baby boy 💙
Thank you so much for watching. Its the best thing ever xx
I’m a first time mom to be. Currently just past 14 weeks and just found out I’m having a sweet baby boy too! These tips really helped me I’ve been looking for sound advice as I don’t have much family or friends available. Thank you for this video 🥰
Love the breastfeeding positivity!
I've never heard of biting your baby's nails on purpose! I suppose cavewoman probably did it though xD
fab tips Emily! I will deffo be layering the bedding for changing and making up those little clothes bundles! Our HV told us off for nibbling Ted's nails saying we could introduce infections which is odd as I was told by so many people to nibble them rather than cutting. xxx
Oh really!? I cut my first sons nails and they were so so sharp he really scratched himself xx
I ended up using a gentle nail file in the end with Ted and it worked quite well. The sleepsuits with scratch mits built in are the best though we have so many for baby girl :)
You are my ideal super mom 👌🏻
Love the video. I have made a video about my best advise for new moms: i love a good book about babies
Thank you so much for watching xx
As a dad to be, I found this video fantastic. Very informative and succinct. Who the hell is giving all the thumbs down 🤷🏼♂️
Thank you so much that means a lot x
Thank you! this video will help me a lot
Laughed so much at the clip when you were biting his nails 😂 his face😂😂 he just looked so chilled!
I did not expect her to do that. Never heard of that.
Hayley Ilsley im 10 weeks ! yay!
Aw yay! Congratulations! I'm 11 now, is this your first? x
Hayley Ilsley i went to the dr today and i was confirmed at 8 weeks. but thats ok :) & yes this is my first, how bout yourself?
Aw bless you, it will fly by don't worry, before you know it you'll be having your first scan :-) This is my third, so kinda know the process now hehe
Hayley Ilsley I'm pregnant with my second, I teared up a bit when she said enjoy it before theyre running around.
When referencing temperatures be sure to point out Celsius or Fahrenheit. It would be terrible to put your baby in 37 degree(Fahrenheit) water, but ideal for 37 degree Celsius. (98.6 degrees Fahrenheit is 37 degrees Celsius.)
Driftwood Gaming I would really hope no one dumb enough to not figure that out on there own is having babies 😬
I wish I watched this video earlier it would really save me so much time figuring all these things out by myself. I ll share with my pregnant friends lol thank you!

Awesome video as a new dad to be these are so helpful!
Have this all ahead of us with my amazing partner! We’re expecting our first child in January and I’ve never been more excited in my life!!
omg he's a gorgeous baby!!! I am just curious, is what you call a "Baby Grow" In the U.K. The same as what we call a "Onesie" In The USA?
Thanks for making this! Brand new first time mama (10 day old little boy) and didn't have the advantage of an in-person parenting class because of the pandemic. The winding and clothing bundling tips you gave were especially helpful! I think our little one may have a stuffed up nose, so I'll have to try the saline solution too. Thanks so much! ♡
New dad here, thanks for the video.
Your baby is adorable!!
Just found out I’m coming up 8 weeks, clicked on this video to find out what I’m in for...no idea what you’ve been saying for the last 7 mins - that little bubba is so gorgeous, he has me all mooshy! 😍
