Defending teams should be rewarded less sure. But not at all is extremely dumb. They are still winning the team fight at the end of the day even if the respawn is in their favor.

Hell even flashpoint can have moments where you wipe the enemy team but bc there respawn is closer to the next checkpoint they get there first. You can’t just not reward players for capping their own when the respawn realistically only makes a few second difference. That’s why it should just be less. Otherwise you’d lose the first two fights and the game mode would just last forever AND have the enemy team feeling like there’s zero chance for a comeback

It might be too slow but I think the neutral fights are the most fun. I also don’t think you should get a full point for capping A/E as the defending team, especially with the new respawn timers
That’s already the case. You often times can force two fights on a point if you’re coordinated enough to back off and retouch at the right times. Very noticeable in stacks of 3 or more
Funny enough, I feel like Venture is a powercrept DPS doomfist - Shields for just using abilities (not landing them), easier movement techs, ranged aoe poke (close range, but better than Doom hand cannon by miles), also meh/situational ult lol. And his issue was, high ranks just roll him outside of certain team comps; low ranks don't focus/punish engages or prevent engages. The fact that they made the same mistake with Venture is wild
Venture isn't broken at all though I don't understand she's barely played anyway what's the issue also she doesn't have what doom had which was (effectively) 2 one shot combos with punch, AND slam uppercut which was basically an insta kill as well

High ranks, Venture doesn't get picked much (again, same as DPS doom) because better players scout the engages/ react better. This means the character is a pubstomper, which means you can argue that they're poorly balanced/niche at best. Again, NOT broken/OP, just suboptimal hero design.
On the clash topic, they could just make last point cap like normal and if the capping team isn’t yet at 5 points then it goes back to the previous point, no?
Maybe they should keep the last point tough to cap but not give the defending team a point for capping the point outside their spawn. So if you go back and forth from D to E, the game isn’t 3 to 4 even though one team is dominating.
What would Overwatch look like if armor was removed? If all they had to balance was health (white bars) and shields (blue bars) maybe it would help alleviate these weird armor interactions/bugs.
Characters that provide shield (Brig w/armor pack) would provide a “shield” pack instead of an “armor” pack. I just feel like balancing 3 types of health pools causes many issues

in reference to the hanzo and widow one shot convo: My opinion about getting one shot by these characters is as follows. widow consistently hits these one shot head shots. Less often is hanzo hitting these one shots and even less often is he hitting them with luck soooo for me the widow one shot pisses me off because you can’t do anything about it where as hanzo feels more telegraohed

The frustration doesn’t come from the consistency it comes from the inconsistency. The fact that a Hanzo can be spamming down a choke and I got one shot not because the Hanzo had his Corsair on me but bc I walked into his attack. Imagine you went to a vending machine that consistently charged you 10 bucks for a bag of chips. And a machine that could charge you anywhere from 5 dollars to 12 for the same bag of chips. The inconsistent machine would feel way more frustrating despite producing better results on average

Quite literally ZERO of their gameplay consists of “spamming down a choke” now go watch a Hanzo play and count how many times they shoot an arrow at head height down a choke even when there’s no one on the screen bc maybe someone will walk into it
Lol how? Genji's and Hanzo's both damages got compensated by the fact that their projectiles are way bigger. As a Genji it's so easy to consistently hit all 3 right click shurikens close range now after they giga buffed their projectile sizes. Moira doesn't have projectiles so her damage was indirectly nerfed by a LOT by the bigger HP pools.
