One of my favorite cities- as I live 50 miles south of Cleveland- and have always loved the city- despite the rap it gets- and all- Cleveland is a vibrant area- downtown has a lot more going for it now than say 30 years ago- back then there was not much at ALL downtown- and now it seems- more vibrant!
Excellent! You picked a great assortment of city streets that I've never been on; it gave me a different perspective of the city. Loved the soundtrack you chose too. Going on the "favorites" list; thank you for this great ride.
Great Great Video! Lived in Cleveland for a year, driving 13000 miles, this film reminds me a lot of moments when I was there. High resolution and nice music. I couldn't love it more.
Loved it! I made it all the way from my home here in Down under, to visit friends in Cleveland, many years ago. Attended the St Patrick’s Day parade too...It’s great to see the new growth & development in this cool city!
I love Cleveland and now I love this video!. Fantastic job setting this whole thing up. Especially enjoyed the black and white footage which just added to that historical feel.
What a great and outstanding video and downtown and city scenery , i also love those bridges and the different areas of the city, I even think it’s more truly urban with a New York/ Chicago image and style just by watching this video than Columbus the capital, will like to visit at some point., thanks for sharing...👌🏽👍👍🤗 Tony j. from Indianapolis....
Born and raised in Cleveland (1960-1979), and enjoyed taking this trip with you ("Street Talk" was the perfect musical accompaniment IMHO). That Prince mural on the side of the Main Avenue Bridge remains my Facebook profile cover photo to this day.
oh man, nostalgia. Lived in Cleveland for ten years attending school, and left it in 2016 after the best summer ever. Cavs won, Fast and Furious movie filmed in downtown, Trump campaign RNC, and they spend the park in the public square it was a hectic crazy summer for the city.

@Paul Dawson thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Great City! I always liked Cleveland. You haters with your stupid , negative comments are so ignorant. Grow up already. Cleveland has some of the best cultural and medical institutions in the world. University Circle is a treasure trove of world class museums , educational and medical facilities. The Lakefront and Metro Parks are also great assets of the city along with great historic neighborhoods!
Great work on this one, especially the editing (loved how you cut to going under the bridge as you crossed it). Cleveland gets such a bad rap, but you showed the life that's there.
Worked downtown Cleveland as an installer for Ohio Bell Telephone Co. Worked out of 750 Huron and later on 700 Prospect, it was a shit hole then and I'm sure it is still a shit hole. The winters were fucking miserable, snow up the ass and salt all over the place to rust out any vehicle with in a few years, so I got smart and headed west, that was 42 years ago.
Never been to Cleveland but impressed with downtown on this video, too bad city has been in decline for so many years, hope it can come back to old glory.
@@antoniocampbell9190 it does not snow "almost all year long" along Lake Erie. True "winter" is usually Dec-Mar, with flurries or the occasional lake-effect dump before or after that time period.
The video of Milwaukee you made I loved because I live like 70 miles away from there i live in Chilton WI and my cousins live in Milwaukee so i go there a lot
eluko79 Awesome video! Im from Cleveland but have always been very intersted in maps and comparing other cities streetscapes and architecture. Cities like Detroit, Cleveland, St.Louis, Buffalo, Pittsburgh etc are grand old towns that were once were great bustling cities that have lots of character and diversity that’s left over from those times. So much to explore. Where are you from?
That list is missing a couple metros that aren't CSAs, including Phoenix. You always have such great opening maps, I still want to know how you do that :-D. It looks like Cleveland has that "Chicago style" architecture that lots of booming cities in the late 1800s had (Chicago, Winnipeg, Milwaukee, etc). It looks a lot like Winnipeg's Exchange district and North Main area (around Bannatyne, McDermot, or Jarvis). If I ever visited Cleveland, I'd dress up as a big "Howard The Duck" and walk around town (that was the city he was from). www.google.ca/maps/@49.8979402,-97.1383188,3a,75y,93.93h,92.84t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sa6iBTuoFXNcsA60-UhjufA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
Cleveland is definitely not Americas 15th largest metro... they do have the largest metro population in Ohio but that’s because it encompass three other areas same with Cincinnati but in reality Columbus is the largest because all it encompasses is Columbus. I live in Cleveland downtown. And yes I hate the bad rap we get but that’s because people miss informing other people. People need to get the facts straight. And I’m not talking about you although you are misinforming people. All in all great video really hit a lot of the key points!!! Thanks and keep up the work
The CSA and MSA populations for the Cleveland metro are so vastly different from each other (15th/25th) compared to other metros, I can see why it can be so contentious.
robert bob no Columbus count places like 40 miles away as their metro I can't understand why Cleveland and Akron are not one metro look at Dallas and ft.worth they are same distance as Cleveland and Akron Minneapolis and st.paul same thing they are all one me and there more why not Cleve. and Akron
I've lived in both cities currently in Columbus but if Cleveland had the economy Columbus has I would definitely be in the land much more of a real city
Doug Jones yeah, I lived in Columbus for a while about 2 years ago and it’s really growing. Columbus is really coming up though. It’s a big city it just needs more big City things.

Thanks! I've looked at maps of this city for years so it was great to finally see it up close. I only wish more towns had a road like Euclid Ave.

Got a source on that #15 ranking? Closest I can find is the list of combined statistical areas that has Cleveland #16.
I went by the CSA list on wikipedia:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combined_statistical_area

Phoenix is the only one without a CSA larger than Cleveland's CSA, though.
Numbers are a bit out of date on the PSA page, though.
