All precautions suggested by the CDC and WHO have been taken during the making of our videos and time traveled even off camera.
West side market, on crowded days, pick-pockets are there so keep a close watch on your purse. Do NOT let the fruit and veggie people fill your bag from behind their counter. I bought 4 pints of strawberries and when i got home found 4 pints of fuzzy, moldy strawberries. So pick your fruit and veggies from what is on display, not what they fill your bag with from behind their counter. Be aware, there are no "sell by" dates on meats and stuff, so make sure what you pick out is what they wrap up for you. COUNT YOUR CHANGE!!!
Thanks Phil for the additional travel advice! Can certainly help others who intend on visiting :)
Absolutely true. Keep your purse and wallet secured and select your own produce. After all, it's your money!
Great coverage, thanks folks.
If you are ever in the area again try out Schlotzsky's for corned beef. Presti's in little Italy also is a great bakery. Thanks for showing Cleveland in your travels.
I read a few blogs recommending Schlotzsky's - I believe they are a food truck? - correct me if I am wrong- I tried to align our days and hours with where they were located but it was a little difficult.
Cleveland was awesome!!
I love the Reuben with mustard
Thanks so much forcoming to town. Banter is a favorite of mine too.
Cleveland is truly wonderful! Thanks for having us.
@@travelingterrezzas313 when you’re back in town check out Ferris Deli for the best Shawarma this side of the Atlantic. Syrian style- be sure to ask for pita (if that’s what you expect) as they use a tortilla otherwise.
@@farajaraf that sounds soooo good! Def putting it on our list.
Before watching I really hope you went to one of the Soul Food joints like B&M or Kims
I wish you would have try a black restaurant, they have the best polish boys
Or the gas stations
Joe's Deli and George's Kitchen are great, old school diners that I frequent! Check them out!
Adding to the list when we go back one day!
I'm about an hour away, It's on my list to try
Also, joe's on Madison Ave?
George's Kitchen is such a hidden gem.
I always hit George’s kitchen on the west side and Steve’s in Old Brooklyn
You need to go to Slymans!
Heard awesome things about them as well!
You went to absolute wrong place for corned beef in Cleveland. The Irish place may be good but you completely missed a Cleveland institution for corned beef --Slymans!!!
Franks is a must at the Westside Market but so is “Steve’s Gyro’s”. Rita’s cream cheese and bacon stuffed pepperoncini’s are a great snack at the market also.
I tried to look up Slymans - they were rated #1 for corned beef but they were a food truck and from what I remember at the time it wasn't clear where I could find them as a tourist. And it wasn't "wrong" we enjoyed our corned beef perhaps the more eloquently way of stating your point was more "popular" / iconic. Hope I helped you articulated better
@@travelingterrezzas313 I don’t know why what looked up said that Slymans was a food truck because I know of the original brick-and-mortar location as well as two others.
@@brianbarker620 Can you share the address for other please? Or a link? And I will pin it
Slymans is killer but because it is in a sketchy neighborhood, they close early like 2 -3 pm
Steve's Gyros in West Side Market does the best gyros anywhere
Nice and informative!!! 1 suggestion: scrap that background music. It's super annoying and almost made me end the video
Rock n Roll any one ?
It's a Slovak community not just Polish.
Thanks! Pinning this to expand knowledge and correct ours. :)
What the heck is a Pullteen?
It's a new food north of Westeros. How can you not know that?
