I work on these Aircraft at The
Naval Air Station Olathe , Kansas
In 1963.
My father flew Skyrays for the Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Thanks for putting the video together.
Great Job Guys! I love it what you are doing to safe the History of Aviation. ED Heinemann is a Genius of Building Aircrafts I like the A4 most of him. "Keep it Simple" He is right. Hope I can see the Intrepid again after this Chaos with the Virus. Greets from Germany.
beautifully done video! Can't wait to get to the Intrepid & see the Skyray. Thanks, Eric.
I visited that airplane several times at the New England air museum.
It was outside in the elements. I don’t think there are any airworthy ones left, only about a dozen left for display.
It's unfortunate
The Skyray had to be easily one of the most unique and futuristic military aircraft of the time, yet so few (out of over 400) currently survive.
I'me always loved the Skyray
My uncle John Brizendine was the head engineer on this plane…top secret at the time
