Hi Phil What is the name of the solenoid valve? and then from the solenoid via the vacuum pipes the valve it attaches to is that directional? mine looks like its upside down compared to yours. Finally do you know how to deactivate that alarm in a MK7 transit, my dog keeps setting it off. A
I've always called it the heater control valve personally. I'll m not sure on the alarm either. My Mk6 didn't have one and Ive never had that much to do with Mk7s if I'm honest.
I have a MK6 chassis cab (recovery body) 2.4 RWD, temp sits at 1/4 on the gauge… when driving it goes to 1/2 way… never overheats.. I have flushed the radiator, changed the thermostat housing and thermostat and fresh coolant and still blows cold next to change the water pump
Any idea where to look whe the fan works but the heat changes doesn't?? No acc, no power windows and no heat changer. No power to the ac button. The ac clutch works Heat to the cabin No voltage over the fuse to power windows. Any suggestions?? Ford transit mk7

Hi mate thanks for the video, I'm a qualified mechanic, my van has no power going to suction control valve so I replace hot/cold switch and still no power to the suction valve. Any ideas? Thankyou
I don't know if it's fused or not, I would maybe try looking there first, if not check all the plugs and loom etc. Might just be a dodgy connection somewhere.
Have you checked the heater controls them selves incase it's a fault with them? Or it could be a vacuum leak or something. Without seeing it it's hard to say to be honest

If you just check the vac pipes are connected and the feed in is drawing vaccum to it then chances are its the little valve. if you follow the vac lines to the valve in the heater pipes you might be able to manually open the valve so it flows the hot water until you get it replaced.

Try topping your coolant up to the max mark and turning your heater controls to full hot then go for a good drive it might help move any air lock if there is one.
My 61 plate transit connect keeps blowing cold air water pump just been done, but temp doesnt exceed half way all of a sudden it will burst hot then turn cold ..... Would this be thermostat?
Sounds like it wanted bled to me to be honest I think it must have an air lock in the matrix. Pop the return pipe off the matrix, turn heater to full hot while it's running then when there's constant stream coming out put the pipe back on.
hello, i have an issue where at certain positions on the temp control dial there a clicking noise in the cabin, the solenoid you showed also makes a ticking noise as well as the the leaver on the second valve you showed goes up and down, all 3 are synchronised. do you have any idea as to where the cause of the problem may be as they're all clearly linked in some way?
On the video about the Aircon you showed one on the left and you said it could be on the right on the mark seven what is that a little bit cold on the heater control problem video for transit

Cheers, To be honest im not 100% sure on putting leccy windows in, it will be something I cover at some point as i have a set to fit into mine but god only knows when that will happen! I have too many projects! haha
@@floydthedoggg if you pull the door card off you might have the loom and plug there if not it might be under the dash where the door loom plugs into the a pillar
To be honest there's not much way to test it, make sure there is vaccum in the pipe feeding it then see if theres power getting to it, if there is then I'd say that's a pretty good stab at what's wrong. It's definitely a good place to start anyway.

Hello Phil. I've got a problem on my 64 plate Transit custom. Warm air only comes out of the passenger side vents. I appreciate any advice that you can throw my way.
@@ThePhilBilly thanks, I've tested it and there is a vacuum so I'm guessing the valve just before the matrix is blocked or knackered as I can move it in and out when the engine/ ignition is off but it goes solid once turned on. Engine is hot now will wait for it to cool down so I can take it off and check the inside
@@markkelly3583 Check your matric and pipes yeah but also check the valves are operating properly, like if you can push the vlave open your self and see if it gets hot. (be careful if it is already hot)
@@markkelly3583 did that mean your heater only blows warm in foot position ? when i change air direction switch it seems to work , ive checked other valves if i manullay hold heater tap still no heat ? with my controls set to foot and main face vents closed and fan on 2 and heat 3/4 in red i get warm air on feet vents this is only way i can get heat ,,,i can figure out whats wrong and help much appreicated

I would try changing the pump next to be honest yeah.
Any idea where to look whe the fan works but the heat changes doesn't?? No acc, no power windows and no heat changer.

I've a Mk6 Transit RWD van and cannot see a heater control valve, were would it be? The Haynes manual doesn't mention it.
Try the passenger side inner wing/chassis leg area?

Hi the valve at the top of the van if I squeeze that will it let hot water through and warm the inside up ?
I think it should, I can't remember if it's sqeeuze to open or close. If you try it you will sharp find out when you get warm inside.

It is probably that the valve is faulty, I'd throw a new one on, they aren't too expensive and usually fix the problem

Most motor factors should be able to supply you one. I usually find eBay ones can be abit hit and miss
Hi Buddy... Any idea why my passenger screen vents blows warm air and the drivers side does not blow at all?
Could be a duct inside the dash has popped off or one of the director flaps might have stuck shut.

Sounds like it could be a faulty switch. Try unplugging the heater contr.switch

Mine blows hot while im driving. Then when im still it goes to cold in like 10 seconds
Does your van get hot on the temp gauge?

Hmmm. Not sure there to be honest, if your temp gauge is staying in the middle and you've checked your valve not sure what else it might be
