Sometimes success doesn't determine skill as musician, I find some of they songs catchy, well one, living on a prayer, but most of the success of musicians today comes from their songs are simple and easy to memorize, thats what the deal was for Bon Jovi, I do think that Motley Crue should be a lot higher, they were probably the be hair band of the 80's, only being beaten by poison

Yes. I'd put Motley Crue as well on the metal list. Their first 2 albums are heavy, alongside half of Theatre Of Pain and Dr Feelgood. Girls Girls Girls is the only hard rock album they did.
Trx 1136 home sweet home was a ballad, dr feelgood was fast rock, and kickstart my heart was fast rock

Me, I just saw Aerosmith in Vegas over thanksgiving weekend. I saw them in San Diego in 1978, they were a thousand times better in Vegas as senior citizens. In 1978 they were a bunch of wasted citizens with zero discipine. In 1978 they played for 60 minutes, and now as senior citizens they put on an amazing show. I was lucky that night, they totally went old school, even playing : " Lord of the thighs!" At one point Steven screamed " do you want to hear some old shit or some new shit?" The audience replied- "Old Shit"
And we did not have school shootings every month and no gay marriage!

Radio is making me sick and tired of hearing those bands. Every day I hear the same songs from 1-5. Doesn't matter what station I listen to it's the same shit every f-ing day. I'm struggling not to be turned off to the Crue. Been my favorite since the beginning. Looking forward to their 2020 tour with Poison and Def Leppard..

Basicallly the whole of 80's had the best music of all time!
80's music was weird. Pop Rock had more one hit wonders than any other decade before them. But our hard rock, Hair bands, Glam Rock what ever rock genre with group bands. They were the most consistent putting out more albums with success while surviving death or dealing with death, addiction, car accidents etc etc.
70s is better musically but 80s is second greatest

Guns n' Roses will always be number one. Sure AC/DC are good, but Guns n' Roses are better musicians (not saying that AC/DC aren't good musicians). I would put AC/DC in number 3, behind Aerosmith.

some of ac/dc's and van halen's best stuff came out in the 70's, but almost all of aerosmith's best was from that earlier decade. bon jovi's best stuff comes when they shut the fuck up.
The first two BJ albums were actually pretty good.
ACDC should be number 1 for this list of hard rock bands of the 80's. Just for the fact that their 1980 album Back In Black is the best selling Hard Rock Album of all time. Plus They've sold well over 200 million albums all together, more than any other band on this list. And like GNR they are also in the rock n roll hall of fame & they were recognized & inducted long before GNR was. People who know music, would know that ACDC should own this list based on those facts alone.
I don't think GnR should be rated any higher then say 8th. Like Poison they came at the close of the 80's and no way should they be tops. Total disrespect to the others
+David Lee Roth the fact that they came in late to the 80's does not mean that they shouldn't be number 1. They have the best selling US debut album of all time, and GNR lies (which came out in '88) went platinum and was later nominated for a grammy. I do agree AC/DC should have been #2, but I do not believe that they should be higher than GNR.

Talking about all time in the ALL WOLD, they are pretty much the same monster, but in the 80s there was nothing like guns, talking about influential, i see more musician and young people atractted (even you can see it in youtube, concerts, etc.)
to Guns than ACDC, quite well, but ACDC was an influence in Guns so is really silly talking about "influential" because theres no really "more influential, they are just influential. so IN THE 80s, is fair for Guns n roses.

Great list aää bands on it deserves to be on it. Would have loved Mötley at the top, they kind of opened up for the hole 80's era of hard rock and lived it out to the fullest

While I'm no fan of Whitesnake, I do think they are a better band than Poison. Poison are just one of the lamest rock bands ever. If Poison was glam metal's definitive band, no wonder glam metal was a shitty style of music. David Coverdale easily kicks Bret Michaels' butt any day when it comes to singing. Also, Whitesnake weren't really a glam metal band anyway. Basically they're a bluesy hard rock band, as the albums they did in the late 1970's/early 1980's show.

As I was watching this top 10 list, it was getting closer and closer. I told myself if Guns n Roses didn't make this list, I'm never going to watch another one of your videos again. But you did not disappoint me. Guns n Roses was number 1. Made my day. I love to see credit where credit is due. GNR forever.

People usually don't give Scorpions the recognition they should. They are the Worlds first Hard Rock Band. Even dudes Like Bruce Dickinson and John Bon Jovi have admitted to be huge fans of theirs and that their music hugely influenced them. Bruce even made a cover of The Zoo. Bon Jovi sucked at Live performances first. Their manager literally told them to watch The Scorps at the stage and take notes, when they were touring together. Also Mathias Jabs was teaching Richie how to play Talk Box and so he did in Living On A Prayer. They have influenced so many legendary bands and yeat they rarely get recognition for it. It's a shame.
Let’s just all agree on one thing, music will never be the same and has never been the same since the 80s, we will never see anyone better then all these guys

guns n roses is really legendary during the 80s you heard the first note you knew it was them
