Also thank you much for mentioning most important stuff to pay attention to, even though I had some experience with doom mapping many years ago, I'm now going through your course from the very beginning, and it's very helpful as it covers the needed stuff in great details.
Well, not sure if this is "you HAVE to do it this way", but I tried to organize what people need to know in a logical order. I... might go a bit slow and over explain to a degree sure, but THIS is the tutorials I personally would have wanted when I started so hey. 😉 Thanks for watching!
GZDoom Builder didn't have "fog density" for sectors, right? I remember that people were using ACS scripts to assign fog back in days or something like that I've heard of. Same with floor reflections maybe. If so, good to see how community made tools progress over the years!
Is there a way to disable the textures in 2d mode, so it's easier to draw, mesure lines? In other words just to have the all black background, even on the textured sectors?
That is not much to go on... In either case, you will need at least three linedefs (lines) to make a sector, nothing can exist in the void so every doom action needs to happen within at the very least one sector. Can you specify more precisely what is the problem?
@@signaltomeI'm sorry in advance if I ask questions that might seem silly but I don't speak English very well, and I really tried for a long time and even with different tutorials but I don't have the same window as you to choose the texture of the walls and also the window that opens early the textures that I can choose seem unavailable...w

Agreed! 😀 Don't use fog much but floor reflections used to be a hassle. Not difficult, just a hassle. Now you just click a button. 😉

Top bar mate, should be a row of different view modes. I often change to wireframe when making the outlines and such.
@@signaltome Thank you so much, i don't know how i have missed this.
@@zardoz8023 No worries, and you are welcome. Easy to miss in all the othet stuff. 🤔😄
doesn't happen in my doombuilder. it's very simplified, no matter what way i set it up
i cant build the walls :( ...
