- Searching for and digging old bottles in a dump located in an old New England cellar hole is on tap for tonight. In this video I dig up some pretty cool bottles, but also some interesting toys, iron horses and even a gun!

Thanks for watching…. The Chigg
Sir I'd just like to point out that lichens are indicators of air purity. The air there is very healthy and is not contaminated by anything.
Horses go with the fire wagon I'm guessing.
And I think your digging tool was the handle to the ladle you found.
OMGosh Beau, Wow!! What a hunt! Man, I sure hope you get a chance to go back there and dig some more. Those old toys and pocket watches were something else. Wow! I'm even jealous. Lol
What's best way to find the owner and get permission to go on a piece of land in woods I discovered today! It's perfrct to go digging and detecting thru! Any help u or anyone had for me I'll take it! Lol. Love these videos chigg. Keep em coming!
The pocket watch at 21:36 I think is actually a compass. I have a similar one made in 1918. The winder is a button that releases a catch holding down the lid.
When he tunes in and starts scraping back layers, he becomes the Bob Ross of trash pit digging.. LOL ! "Ooo.. little thing here, and lets see there's a little piece and wow lets move that rock right there.... " Ha! Love it. Just struck me funny...
Happy little coins lol
I think all people who are really into what they are doing sound like Bob Ross in their own way, he was onto the UA-camr format before the internet even existed, way ahead of his time..
i was hoping for Part 2 of the "Harvesting Silver Coins"
me too...i really hoped there will be some coins there... had a dream about them too :)))))
I find it crazy that you enjoy digging junk up out of trash piles, but what I find even crazier is I can’t stop watching you did up junk. Thank you for the show.
The last horse and boiler looks like a horse-drawn fire engine
I thought the same thing when i saw all of the pieces together.
Yep, that is what it is..
That's a horse drawn steam pumper toy , I work for the fire dept. and get to look at one every day .
The toy is a Vintage Cast Iron Toy "Steam Pumper Fire Engine With Driver & Two Horses".
Beat me to it.
Good call Kevin!
@@longhairedcountryboy2363 Thank you
It's such a cool find! Been nice if it was all there . Still cool tho.
Kevin Showers awesome info! I just found the same horse a week ago and wasn’t sure what it went to. ❤️
I was just going to say that,,,rather than a " choo choo ". That is what all the horses went to.
That "elephant's trunk" is the spout to a teapot! The horsie, wheels, & cast iron engine are the parts of a cast iron model of a fire engine.
Have you ever considered a pair of cheap dollar tree reading glasses, you'd be amazed at what you could see. But then I was amazed you were wearing gloves so guess glasses are a little much 😁
Never a good idea to buy glasses without having them prescribed by a trained cadre. You'll f**k up your eyes really bad using them. Not only that, but you can give yourself migraines and even damage the way your eyes work.
LOL.... That's not true. Even eye doctors buy "readers" or "cheaters" from the store. They are simply low dioptric power additions to magnify what you are looking at and are not meant to correct refractive errors. That's why you don't need a prescription for them.
I dont know why but every time I watch you I have this feeling I need to be treasure hunting☺
Thank you Billy for looking after Mr. Chiggenheimer.
Awww man... Chigg didn't go back to the rock crevices....
Large cup without a handle - commonly called a "bowl".
Hello Chigg, not sure why you've taken on a partner/ side kick, but Billy fits. He's quite entertaining 😂
One person's entertaining is another person's annoying. LOL Chigg is looking for more subscribers, so collaborating with other diggers is a way to do that.
The only thing better then watching your video would to be there helping u dig.I love digging for treasures.Enjoy your videos!😃
I loved the horses and other toy pieces you found. That derringer you found was amazing. Hopefully you'll get a chance to come back and look for more bottles. Glad you remembered your gloves. Stay safe and healthy.
The circle shaped thing you thought might have been some kind hanger I believe you said, looks like what is called a 'cold shut', they were used to put two pieces of chain together without having to weld or forge them together. After putting the two ends of chain on it, the pointed end was hammered through the little hole and hammered over. They are a very strong way of joining.
Wait. Did you go back for the coins in the last video? I'm laughing because one of these days, you're going to say it's a skull and it actually will be. I'm imagining your reaction when you do.
That “wall hook” you found is actually a cold shut chain repair link. You’d loop your length of chain through then using a hammer you’d hit the link closed so the end went into the hole and once it’s through your chain is repaired.
That bottle is from the Larkin Soap Company. Thats a really cool find! The building that housed the Larkin Soap Company was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The building was torn down and now stands a new building called the Larkin Building. There is interesting history behind that.
Thank you for the video, we really enjoy and appreciate you!
Hi Beau, 31:50 I recognise this (or similar toy) with the wagon it makes a horse drawn fire truck I'm sure.
Saw a beautiful one when my mother worked in an old stately home in South West Scotland in the 70's and I was allowed to play with the old toys forts, soldiers, etc in the attic play/store rooms.
Peace
Charlie 🇬🇧
Thanks for what you do so we can enjoy your hobby also.
When Beau hits pay dirt, his luck is unreal! Either With a high end detector or a simple scrap of iron ... He hits it big! I fell out when you started pulling out that Fire pumper/train and horse! Congratz Chigg! Thanks for carrying us along!
Buddy digging in a trash pit is about as fun as it gets. Great finds and video
I love the bottles, the glass stopper and the glass lids are great finds. The first horse is really cute. Billy's fly is down. It's amazing all of the stuff you find in old trash heaps. Do you think you have enough parts to somewhat put the choo-choo together? I'm amazed as to how much you pulled out of the tree at the last part of the video. Just so you know, the past week I have been humming your theme song. I finally spend time listening to the words. It's a nice song. Thank you for sharing :-)
I love the bottle dump videos. I love all your video's but these are my favorite, so cool seeing what you uncover.
Some cool finds love the horses x
Nice to see you wearing some gloves this adventure Chigg! You needed a trowel to help you dig though. Great fun; thanks for sharing. 🤗
WOW The Chigg got his gloves on!
Thank you for wearing gloves! Love your videos!
Thanx Chigg for another great AQUACHIGGER ADVENTURE SEE YA ON THE NEXT
Good to see you wear gloves Chigg. No bleeding fingers 😀😉
Always liked digging old dumps
😊👍👍💥🌎💝
You're the first person I watched on UA-cam.My granddaughter said Grandma I can't go to sleep with pings. She said what are you watching?Metal detecting.
get ear buds....thats what i do
This was so fun watching. You can learn so much about our earlier families lives by seeing into their dumps. I can think of a dozen things to use those parts of the old watches and the small bottles for to remind us of our past. I think your “digging tool” was the handle to the ladle or cooking spoon you found earlier. You need to keep it for further use. Billy wasn’t impressed with your finds but to to us they are treasurers. They tell a story equally and sometimes more intimate than from the belt buckles, bullets, and coins. Glad you are using those gloves. You need knee pads also. I hope you back to dig more.
Everything u found is right up my alley, I love saving history the toys r great.
Awesome iron horse toy and pocket watch, nice finds
How cool was that finding all the horse iron works! U did find some nice relics on that day! Love the gun and pocket watches! Wow! HH!!
Oh Beau, you never seem to amaze me with your tenacity! Moving heaven and earth to get to your target....Good for you.😂 It seems like your back is holding up great!🙌🏼 It looks like you are having a blast with Billy up there in Maine. Well my friend HH and GL....🍀🍀🍀 Wonderful video....God Bless you and stay safe.🙏🏼♥️ Greetings from Canada...👋🏼🇨🇦
Keep digging Chigg ! Glad you got your gloves!
Another great video , keep them coming. What happened with the silver in the crack?
That was a lot fun! Thanks for a good day out.
The horses look to be from a horse racing carousel. You got lucky finding that Derringer. Keep taking my friend keep digging.
Hello from Prince Albert Saskatchewan, Canada 🇨🇦. Prince Albert in a can? Interesting.
I love the fire wagon! Hope you are able to find all the pieces! Love old cellar holes! Never know what you will find!
I think that choo Choo is actually a horse-drawn fire engine.
The Fishmiser that’s what I was going to post until I saw yours. Those were popular toys. Two horses pulling a steam engine fire truck.
YOU FOUND SOME HORSES AND SOME BOTTLES - WELL DONE !!!!
Wait!!...is that Chigg wearing gloves??!! 😳😂
Great video Chigg great haul. I’ve got to get goin here soon GOD BLESS you and your family buddy Amen 🙏
I love your bottle hunting adventures. Greetings from Nashville, Tennessee
This was crazy fun Chigg, ya never know what will come out of a dump like that next?! You found some great stuff so I hope you get to spend more time at it. I also hope you went back to the crack for more coins...MOAR...the Chigg is in his element!!! Havin' a great day!
I'm impressed. Your service issue jacket still fits
Pretty cool iron toys.the pistol frame is cool as well.
Hello chigg, another great day out digging treasures. Looks like you found the toy box under the tree. Lol. Great day out with guys doing what you love to do. Looks like you might just need to do a part 2. You were just starting to find the goods. Like you always say you just dont know what you might find. An I think you just started getting to the good stuff. I believe if you dug a bit longer you would have found the awesome bottles you were hoping to find. Looked like a great big dig site, so I'm sure you'll be back another day to collect the rest of the relics an just maybe those gold coins. You never know. The little gun was an awesome find. Could be some civil war relics in there as well. Happy digging an detecting. Your the best.😁👍👍
love the old toy finds
I’d never know if I could take Billy seriously or not. 🤣 He’s definitely a New Englander.
Yep, he's full of tall tales
I'm watching...
How do you like the mink man?
He sounds like a FAR up in New Englander!
Sounds like a Maine accent to me...
Thanks for the post, hope you and yours have a great Memorial Day!
Looks like you take a lichen to that spot. I have a lot of rivets myself. Would enjoy seeing the watch cases and horse toys cleaned up.
I sure hope u are going back there. That’s some treasure spot!
You could have spent a week digging that old cellar out! I would love to watch....
🤭🤭🤭 squirrel back there puttin it together....
Those ancient toys made that trip👍🏻
after all of these years watching your videos I would like to see a little enthusiasm when you are digging lol you are always entertaining thanks chigg
Cool finds! The lid with the pouring spout at 32:09 is from an eapg(early american pressed glass) syrup pitcher.
that bottle you found from buffalo NY was a Larkin Co bottle. Larkin Soap Company was a mail order soap company based out of buffalo New York near Niagara falls that was founded in 1875 and was dissolved in 1942. I actually have a nice bottle from them. behind my house is an old farm dump my family used to use in the early to mid 1900s in a ravine and bottles wash out in the stream occasionally. I have a really nice small round embossed bottle from them from the late 1800-early 1900s that turned a little purple due to sun exposure that washed out during a storm once. Also a fun fact about Larkin Co, is that in 1903 they had Frank Loyd Wright design there new administration building, which was a gorgeous building even though it was an office. once the company was disolved the building was purchased by western trading corporation that ignored city and public protest and demolished the building to put in a parking lot and a planned truck stop that was never built. all that is left of it today is a small brick pillar next to a parking lot.
The horse and buggy and gun are the coolest things. I think the other horse pulls the fire engine.
That all is some cool stuff
Hey Chigg that shotgun shell is old and maybe the oldest thing you found. Very collectible item.
Thanks Chig, watching your vids makes me want to get out of the house on my days off...
awesome find! got yourself a little honey hole there and no detector needed
That shotgun shell is most definitely collectable. Hard to find.
I don't think I'm that old.. but I've reloaded shotgun shells my whole life..
Not collectable. You can still buy them! You rarely find them in the field because they were always picked up to be reloaded. But being a rare find in a field or the woods is not the same as being rare in general. You sometimes find them at garage sales or flea markets. Or you can just buy them new.
Love ya CHIGG 😁😁
Great little dig adventure. Thanks for bringing me along, as always dirty hands are happy hands. Stay safe 👍✌
Nice little treasure niche!
Glad to see you using gloves again! Especially with all that glass!
Hey beau, welcome to New England. I been dying to get out and do some detecting and bottle digging since I moved back to Rhode Island. But owners are not willing to give permission easily. Plus a lot of cool places are on state owned land. So I just been filming some places.
Lots of cool bottles can be found.
I live in Connecticut. Have you ever heard of Mud Larking? There are neat UA-cam channels for it. On the banks of the London River Thames there are a wealth of treasures to be found. Lots of old stuff. You have to get a permit in order to dig. I always wondered if anything would be able to found on the Charles River banks in Boston. As it's very rich in history. Love that dirty water! It's gotta give up some interesting things.
@@melmay6464 I've mud lurked a few times. Many of the old places around where I grew up are now parks, or redone hiking trails. Haven't found anything cool recently (maybe a couple fishing lures). But I keep looking. As soon as it dries up after this spring rain, I'm going to mud lurk some of the old cellar holes. There is one I'm super interested in, but it's at least 20 feet deep and I am unsure of the bottom. Would need to figure out how to get in and out.
some of that really old thick glass makes really nice glass arrowheads.
Lol The Bottle Kiids!😂
Great finds!
The coat hook deal looked like a cold shut. Its for linking chain together. You put the two ends of the chain in it and hammer the eye end down until the straight end goen into the eye
👍🤪its good luck you haven't cut your hand to day stay blessed
Awesome video and finds. Oh is your refrigerator running? You better go get it! I just had to.lol It was nice of to show the liichen.. Not many around the places I've lived. In my college Botony class it was just pictures of them. So thank you for showing that.
Nice toy finds! To me those are as good as finding bottles.
Another great episode. Thank you for sharing with us. Happy Hunting. ✊️✊️✊️
That was fun!!
"A squirrel probably put it together back there" 🤣
Awesome finds and video.👍👍
Great stuff ! Love your adventures
Wow! That was fun Chigg.
Thanks for taking us along.😊
I have a feeling that the trove you found was a young man's treasure horde. It looked as if you pulled out the metal container he hid it in.
I agree with you. In my old place It's like, the children of the place goes to the military or college.. Then the toys all get put on the junkpile. All in one place.
I've buried treasure troves under trees and rocks as a child. As far as I know, they are still buried there waiting to get discovered.
I think the thing you called a hook is half of the bit that goes on the narrow end of the horse blinder strap you found. It has just been bent into the rounded hook shape, probably by the guy that it broke on.
Chigg, I cringe every time you dig another handful of soil littered with glass. I've never heard of cut proof gloves but I'm glad your wearing some. I've cut my hand many times digging things up from broken glass or sharp pieces of metal. Take care.
I found a awesome dig site, been working a lot so I haven’t got enough time to get out and look!! Thanks for curing my bottle digging fever!!!
tfw the Troll train shows up in not only in the background but in the hole...
You had a really good day...I would say. I would be well pleased if all I found were the cast toys.
The family that lived there must’ve been wealthy with all the pocket watches, toys, and a fancy teapot spout.
Love your videos! How are all the kitties you rescued?
Beau doing iggettey diggettey finding them Treasure's you know that house had all it content when it fell!!!
Keep the shoe!! It's lucky to find a shoe🍀🍀🍀
Hey Chigg , keep on diggin 👍⛏
Again always love watching your videos chig keep them coming
