YES PLEASE! more dump digging! I was born and raised in Tempe - a suburb of Sydney, NSW, Australia. Tempe was 'THE' major dump for the whole of Sydney City from the beginning of it's establishment as a Colony in the late 1700's. My siblings and I spent a lot of time rummaging around on the Dump - and loving it!

Really sweet site to dig. When I lived in Lake of the Woods, (88' to 95 or so) there was a trench that went from where the Goldmine club was to well past our property, and I found a ton of bullets, buttons, and bottles. I'm a glassware/bottle junky, and to see this, is just amazing. Looks like I'm gonna have to get back into hunting. Up here in NY, I won't find hardly any Civil War stuff, but tons of Colonial relics to find. Seeing all of your videos again, makes me miss the area.

The most useful dump digging tool I've used is simply a strong stick about half and inch thick that's sharpened at one end. You can easily break through all that loose dirt and won't scratch any bottles.

Aqua! Funny you just posted this! The previous week I was in Canada fishing our "secret fishing lake" for Lake trout, and I brought my metal detector just for fun (and to check an item off my List (I have now OFFICIALLY prospected in Canada!!). I hit a few islands and a sandy area that people use sometimes as a beach. Found a Canadian coin, old broken bottles, and some old cans. Can't wait to do it again! Love your channel!!

You were right about the big green bottle. It is a what they called a Gin Case bottle and there are several different sizes and colors, I lived 2 hours north west of Toronto and we dug bottles there about 45 yrs ago and I have some of the gin bottles, I also have an old baby feeder called Excelsior Feeder which is almost oval with a flat back side so it would sit beside a crib. Looks like you are onto a good site.

My parents live next to an old town dump here in wisconsin and as a kid i dug up over 100 bottles. Many were medicine bottles because a doctor lived next door. You get to wisconsin, you have a place to dig. Ive been meaning to dig back there again but haven't. My parents still live there and would allow it. So maybe a wisconsin trip is in mind. Best bottle i found was a 1906 milk of magnesia bottle from Connecticut

Beau, there are these big forks, that are used for carving roasts, turkey, etc. If you happen upon an older one at a yard sale, second hand store, your Mom's kitchen, grab it, throw it in with the diggin' supplies. It's fantastic for diggin' bottles because the base is wide and the tines are widely spaced. : )

HEY BEAU!!! I dig bottles and detect too, one of my go to tools is either an old 1'' chisel or 1.25'' drill spade bit with the handle broken off and a "T" welded to the end.... Great for getting around those pesky "tight" bottles or compacted earth... Just a quick stab and a turn will loosen the most stubborn debris around almost every item!

When we moved home, the bottle did not make the journey- my dad must have chucked it.

My bottle dig didn't go so well lol. Got about 25 good bottles out of it though. A majority of the stuff we dug up was damaged by the backhoe. It started out we had to remove a tree in our orchard for a foundation, under that tree were lots of large rocks, so those had to go. Under the rocks we found all kinds of bottles, pottery, bricks, etc. I think the most valuable thing I found was a model A or tractor jack from 1914. If we didn't keep using the backhoe I would have had some china and a moonshine jug.

Awesome Beau!! Makes me want to go bottle digging, haven’t been since last time I was digging in an unreal bottle dump I unearthed a heap of asbestos, scared me off a bit

yes would like to hear about snake oil, also wish folks would pack all that broken glass to recycle since it takes less energy to recycle than to make from sand.

I have had coins, buttons and other smaller items fall out sometimes when bottle digging. Always intended on going back and screening the dump and screening on my next dig, but never got back! Believe it would be worthwhile to screen any old dump site for the little things not seen while digging. Can't forget bullets!
