    You probably know this trick already (and maybe I missed it in the video!) But if you boil normal spaghetti noodles with baking soda, the texture changes and becomes ramen-like! If you can't find proper ramen, you should try it out! :)

    :-D finally a japanese cooking channel based in Europe (I'm from Germany) where you can find easy japanese dishes and how to make them if you can't get all the japanese ingredients. I'm glad i found your channel 😀
    Regarding Ramen Noodles, i saw a video where they made the spagetti noddles into "some kind of" Ramen noodles by cooking them with baking soda.

      Same here! i wish they had a discord, to discuss the recipe and give each other tips what to use instead if it's not available in germany!

      ooo hey i'm from Germany too!! and same, I also feel like the video editing style and they way she describes the process and the food itself makes it so accessible for people who might not know the cuisine very well, it's very wholesome! also do you two live in a bigger city or a more rural area? i've been able to find big asian grocery stores that even sell really specific ingredients here and it makes me really happy!

    Hey Yuka, another spaniard here!
    I have seen you struggling getting ingredients in Spain in this and another video so here you have some advise to get stuff outside of specialised asian supermarkets:
    You can get access to several kind of noodles in big supermarkets like Carrefour they often have soba and from time to time Udon.
    If you are going to use pasta instead of noodles I'd advise to go for something of a higher grade like my current favorite Garofalo
    I also saw you struggling using Spanish rice to make onigiri in another video. I have used successfully both the one that is used to make risotto "arborio" and the one that is used to make some kind of paellas "bomba", for the later the brand SOS is cheap and very decent.

    • @yuka_jp

    • @ShiningAoiTsuki
      @ShiningAoiTsuki 2 роки тому +2

      It's best to store sprouts in a large container filled with fresh cold water in the fridge and then change the water every day. With this method, the sprouts will stay fresh and crunchy up to 1 week or even longer 😄 Same method for tofu, except adding a little salt to the water to prevent the growth of microorganisms 👍🏻

    I've made ramen quite frequently in the past, but sadly it's difficult to find Japanese ingredients in my city (bonito flakes, Misô, and so on), so I usually need to buy it when I travel or pay a lot to buy online (╥﹏╥).
    I also understand what you said about the ramen outside Japan.
    To me the Japanese restaurants also had the best. The only restaurant in my region that I also thought that was like the real deal was a small business opened by a japanese man that just came from Japan with his family. It had everything like those little ramen restaurants with curtains at the front, a big counter and few seats. Very lovely and familiar.
    Again, I loved your recipes. I didn't knew the Salt Ramen one and hope I can try it soon!
