Unfortunately, one candidate supports abortion up until the moment of birth for all 50 states, and the other candidate says each state should have the right to legalize abortion abortion up until the moment of birth. Unfortunately, the candidate who claims to be pro-life has now taken the position of the pro-slavery issue in the 1840's. It is a states rights issue. Very, very sad.

Politics is ALL about division, distraction, and deception, and what was the number one sign Jesus gave the disciples about the end of the age?
Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one DECEIVES you." (‭Matthew 24:3-4)
Let's check out some others in regards to rulers, kingdoms, and those in authority:
“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; He DEPOSES kings and RAISES UP others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning." (‭Daniel 2:20-21)
Jesus answered, “My kingdom is NOT of this world. If My kingdom WERE of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is NOT from here.” (John 18:36)
"...For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are APPOINTED BY God." (Romans 13:1)
At the end of the day I'll trust in the Lord, Who, under His sovereignty, has given authority to people to be in their respective places and roles for such a time as this (as He has from the beginning).
We don't need to like who's there, we don't need agree with who's there, nor approve of their policies, but He has them there for His "specific purposes". And that's to move things further along to the FINAL end He told us of long ago (and I think we are just about there ⌛).

Agreed! I definitely received a very similar revelation from the Lord. We definitely shouldn't lay down and accept evil. But the scriptures will be fulfilled. The prophecies from Daniel to Revelation will happen!! But what was the last encouragement we received from the book of Daniel? The feet which is the last human kingdom would be dashed to pieces by the rock that was carved out but not by human hands. The rock filled the whole earth which represents his kingship being the final kingdom.

      ‭Matthew 28:18-20
[18] And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. [19] Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

In any election, a voter must look at the whole range of proposed policies and the core values of each party and candidate.
Abortion is a great evil that must be addressed but it is not good sense to vote for a man who 'bans abortion' but has policies that destroys life for the non-aborted.
The problem is that in every election I have watched, not one candidate has made good on the campaign promises. It seems to me that the next election for POTUS you may have a choice between voting for a totally dishonest man who will promise you 'everything' and then fail to deliver or a totally senile man who will not remember what he said he would deliver. The failure of western democracy is that the worst candidates seem to end up as the only choice. How a country ends up with one candidate who should be in prison and one who should be in a rest home is a mystery.

The two-party system is broken. It was originally supposed to funnel extremists towards the center - racists and Ayn Rand types would vote Republican because the GOP was a bit more Right than the Dems. Communists and eco terrorists would vote Dem because they were a bit more Left. But the country would remain roughly in the center.
Around 1980, both parties started to fall to extreme factions. Party members are more radical than the average person, and they decide the primaries. Dems are Woke gender-warriors - really good at getting 72 genders on federal forms, instituting DEI programs, but never really reforming employment, housing, retirement, or the other pressing economic matters people vote Left for. Republicans are a minority who cling to power through quirks of the Electoral College and district gerrymandering. It seems like they want to burn the whole place to the ground just so the boss's boss's boss can make an extra $5. And they're pro-life? Please.

I discuss this objection in it's pros and cons in a talk I did a couple years ago. Lots of atheists were using it like a slam dunk, but weren't really going deep enough into the issue to consider their own moral grounding (or lack thereof), or to see how scripture has several broader antislavery themes that they were overlooking. Anyway, the Bible isn't as proslavery as the critics make it out to be, but it's also not as antislavery as many Christians seem to think. All came from God’s Foreknowledge, beginning with Jesus (Proverbs 8:22-36):
God IS eternity. Everything in this world was with God in all eternity within His foreknowledge. God brought forth Jesus first, making him God’s only begotten Son - the only one created by God’s hands *alone.* God then placed all power and spirit into the hands of Jesus, who created the heavens and the earth. Together, they made the trees, animals, etc. They made mankind in their image and likeness of Father and Son (Genesis 1:26), for all things that belong to God will be in heaven (Isaiah 11:6-9). God also created Satan, who will spend all eternity apart from God along with his servants.
All things existed in the foreknowledge of God’s infinite mind and will exist forever. Amen.

First she was in coma for some time, then both she and her child died. This is how true loving christians protect life. Forcing someone is easiest and most cruel way possible. It's cool to say 'carry your cross', 'take responsibility for your actions', 'you chose to have sex' to someone else, when you aren't the one who has to suffer. Anyway, I won't waste my time for further discussions here, because usually christians just obey the law without any love, they just want to follow the rules and this is all they care about. I enjoy watching the tap-dance around this topic they do. It's like that one verse about Behemoth saying its tail sways like a cedar tree. And creationists and probably some lighter Christians will die on the hill that it refers to its size, thus making it a dinosaur, no matter how much you explain to them how that is not said nor implied, it only talks about motion. Although in this case it's the opposite, where it is heavily implied if not outright stated with the "thigh falling away", but they won't accept that under any circumstance, regardless of the logical reasoning you give. It's truly fascinating.
They'll take Genesis 1:1 as talking about the Big Bang and the creation of time, space and matter, as literally said in the verse (which couldn't be further from the truth), but this is reaching, obviously (even though scholars and translators agree on this a lot).
