@@BacktotheRetroReview the Joe Rogan boom arm is scary similar, and over $300. This blows my mind for just $70! Thanks for pointing me to this one! You da man!
Hi Mike! It's funny but I just got this boom arm today as a replacement for my Elgato wave mic arm. I find this Neewer boom arm so much more versatile for a far more attractive price. I really feel like I got a great deal. BTW the designation of this boom arm is Neewer MS002 Low Profile Mic Arm Desk Mount 😉 Great review ! 👍
Interesting low profile boom arm! It's the first time I've seen anybody do an Neewer LPBA review video. I wonder if it can hold heavy duty mics (Maono PD400X, Rode PodMic USB, Samson Q9U for example). I'll keep my eye on it in the future.
@@levelupwithmikenewman Excellent! I saw a video on Amazon where the guy talked about it & can remove the middle part of the low profile boom arm (in other words, users can make it short).
@@RetroBigCat75 Hi! I received the Neewer boom arm yesterday but I took the time to examine it and it seems very solid and durable. About the Rode PodMic USB, it's going to be hard to describe its quality. I can only compare it to the mic the PodMic USB has replaced in my setup, the Elgato Wave DX... I prefer the sound of my voice with the PodMic USB. The Wave DX tended to accentuate my sibilance, which the Rode mic doesn't do. I also find the sound of the PodMic USB easier to equalize or just process. I admit it's a bit subjective, but I find the sound of the PodMic USB more flattering to my voice than the Wave DX. The Elgato mic is also very bad at rejecting ambient noise. It behaves like a condenser microphone. I hope I've answered your question. 😉
I like how you don't have to use all 3 arms, you can use all 3, only 2, or just the pneumatic arm
Dude! That just clicked in my brain when I watched it come apart in my hands. Lol. 🤦🏻♂️ Thanks for mentioning that!
I’m getting one now. You two are killing me! Hahaha!!
The head swivels side to side too
Awesome review dude!
Thanks a ton! Had to have some real fun for a change. Lol. Gotta get back to the basics!!
I truly love this boom arm, I'm surprised it hadn't gotten more attention.

@levelupwithmikenewman it was dumb luck at best. But that's what we do, help eachother out.

Yes!! Getting this for just under $70 blows my mind! What a steal for all the boxes that it checks!
Only if it had a swivel ball mount.
@@selw0nk the head swivels both up and down, left and right 👍🏻 😁

@@RetroBigCat75 absolutely can!!! It can hold my 4lb mic with ease
I confirm Mike's answer.
I use this boom arm with my Rode PodMic USB and it supports it effortlessly (better than Elgato's Wave Mic Arm LP).

@@FabriceM_Studio Nice. Two questions, how long you're the low profile boom arm and how good is Rode PodMic USB?
