I keep looking for bad news about Palmetto State Armory's build quality for the money, and I keep NOT finding it.

I've purchased 2 firearms from PSA an AR10 for hunting and PSAK 47 for plinking at the range and I'm more than satisfied with both products! Great customer service too.
if you have issues with the tightness of that folding brace, add a drop of gun oil on the hinge. It'll loosen it up just fine.
Thanks for the review. Have seen many unboxing videos , but this is the first firing video I have seen. Your process of using multiple shooters and multiple ammo brands, gives a true assessment of the pistols performance.

Righteous little AK pistol, and in a video backed with Megadeth? That would be two thumbs up if possible. Even Robski over at AKOU approved of this PSA. I want it with that red furniture, too!
Rob hasn't yet reviewed this pistol. He has reviewed the AK-V and the standard long gun AK-47, not the AK-P. All three are different.

I'd like to see you get a Palmetto Armory AR-47 to test its quality of build and accuracy.
Mine is more accurate than any of my Aks but It only uses Mag Pul Mags. I can not use Metal surplus mags, or Tapco mags in it. I did not fall in love with the rifle because of that. I do love the AKP and AKV!
Yeah, MagPuls are a last resort IMO, but st least they're available
@@Milkman3572000 odd mine uses every mag I’ve tried that being a stack of about 7 different types …. Idk but it is built so the 12$ magpuls fit and they or as decent as any of the options and really today the most affordable so it’s kinda a win .
Every AK I’ve had required hand fitting mags to it usually the only thing the AK optic rails or far inferior to the AR pic rail on the body.
Boosters aren't really meant to be flash hiders anyway, so flash is to be expected with them. I wonder how much you would get with a 4 piece flash hider though.

Mine has only rarely malfunctioned from mags getting broke in..get you a ALG LIGHTEN BOW trigger,you won't regret it 😁🇺🇸💖

You were already asked a few times in the comments, but after all these years, has the dust cover kept zero? I was thinking about getting one and wondered if it's worth getting separately for a different PSA AK. Thanks!
It's held zero close enough for our use. AK's are (by doctrine, design, and caliber) a 300m gun and this is a pistol version of a 300m gun. For defensive distances we've had no issue with zero.

So any other issues especially with the brace? I was hoping it was aluminum as I am concerned about it cracking especially in cold weather.

Did the pistol come with the Texas Weapon Systems top cover or did you add it on? Does it feel stable for that heavy scope?
The pistols comes with a railed top cover. It seems to have held up through our shooting
Let me get this straight because I got this gun with the pistol brace. If I was to switch it out with the stock you got would it make it a SBR ?

Does anyone know if the wood (as we see here), or the polymer tolerate the heat from the barrel better ?
That would depend on if the polymer has any form of heat shield
@@GBGuns I'm waiting patiently for PSA to re-stock their AK pistols with the folding triangle brace. The 'classic' style red wood, black polymer, or plum polymer is what I'd prefer...Might best be a question for them since looking at their site there's no description of whether there is, or isn't a heat shield in place.
I also badly want to know if this red furniture gets as hot as the metal guard a Texas shooter experienced. He did 2 mags and I couldn't even hold the guard anymore. He may have not had a gf3 though. Wonder if anyone knows how hot these are after 2 mags?

Do you think this is better than the zpap92 saw you had issues with the brace on the zastava... is this a better quality piece?
Much better quality, smoother action, better fit and finish. Just watch the tabletop videos of the two and you'll see.
Can this be suppressed with a 308 can?
Last week I ordered my Serbia 7.62×39 as a other firearm in 12.5inch barrel length because I'm from Connecticut so what's your opinion about Serbia AK.
If you got an M model it'll be great, if it's a Z model be prepared to do some extra work and spend some more money. The older ones are tanks.

Does the optic on the dust cover rail really hold zero? I've heard it claimed they don on the PSA and Lead Barrage. I'm starting to think I want one of those as a travelling gun. I already have a Zastava rifle with Magpul folding stock. Also a PAK-9 with brace, but think I'd like the pistol/rifle combo in 7.62x39. I love my ARs and they are my primary systems, but I think the 7.62x39 will be less affected by the short barrel. I also like the folding brace option for packing. Besides. The FDE Magpul version would go well with my FDE Mossberg Shockwave and we all know how important it is to be stylishly coordinated in a zombie apocalypse. LOL
These are much nicer than Zastava. As far as holding zero I don't think it matter much at the ranges this gun is meant for.
Thanks. I just realized the typo in my last reply. I meant to say I've heard they hold zero on the hinged cover. Who knows, maybe I'll sell the Zastava and just get two of the AK-P. I have the ARs and .308 for any reaching out. ;)

Well done. I initially thought that scope would be a bit peculiar on such a shortie pistol but, it actually looks appropriate and I'd think 1-4 for x39 is ideal in application. Was that red wood/bakelite an option with PSA or is that aftermarket?
It's PSA. We try not to modify guns we test (hence the Zastava failure).
What is the make and model of the scope? I really like the look

Was that supposed to be a ammo group comparison or just shoot different ammo manufacturer for fun? If that was just for fun then Disregard anything below this statement and high5. When you shoot 10rd groups it just looks like you fired a box of ammo at each corner with no regard to what ammo performed best out of the rifle. That's not far comparison and theres norway to make any kind of conclusion to what ammo actually performed better...its just look I shoot a bunch of bullets at paper and there's a bunch holes in it.🥰🤣🤣
