@@texas2avideo644 I have only seen 1 real bad review on the AK-P. The dude was furious... I plan to get this soon. Hopefully I get a good one. That being said, I wonder how PSA's customer svc is.
That's one thing I actually didn't even think about, when ordering my PSA. Was the metal handguard with MLOK and picatinny on top, which is why I got it. But didn't think about it "heating up." Still not really an issue though, cause I'm going to put a vertical foregrip on it. It's a 13.7 inch, pin and weld rifle version. So the front grip is all good without NFA. My only problem now is wanting to paint the handguards, an taking them off to do so. When they have it on super tight, probably loctite on the hex / torque screws. Which I'm worried about stripping to take off, I'm sure i can find or order new screws. But then am also concerned with snapping the screws or stripping them, an getting them stuck all the way in. Acouple of them are slightly stripping already from how tight they placed them, straight from the factory.
Call me a copycat but Im gonna set mine up exactly like yours when I get one..your setup looks great. Youre right about your "Obnoxious" muzzle brake Lol..Ive got the same type on my Hungarian AK. That AK of yours is a winner👍
Just got mine, a blonde. It runs Romanian 75-round drums reliably. Also has a fixed ring at the front left for a sling. I'll experiment with running the other end of the sling through the brace somehow.
J T - does yours get this hot this fast? Was looking after that red one too but I'm not in love with the idea of how quickly the grip becomes untouchable
Does your ak have the tang that the puzzle piece adapter goes onto? I don't have that so I'm worried about not being able to install it with the stamped version. Says on the site the AKP has to use the picatinny adapter. Can you help me out? A video showing how your brace is attached or something would help out a lot. That's a lot to ask but I think it would help a lot of people. I can't find anything else for the cnc warrior other than using the puzzle piece and mine isn't compatible.
Slate black makes nice plastic mlock covers, they look nice and help a little bit with the heat ... not a substitute for gloves but they are better than nothing
Man, that’s the worst part of this AK. I scored that on clearance from some random dude at a gun show. Have not seen one since and the thing works very well for recoil. The blast isn’t that fun but it sucks I don’t know where to tell guys to be able to buy one
The bigger tube mount is removed using a Allen wrench. The new CNC warrior goes in with flat head screws that are provided with the new stock or brace. If you get one that doesn’t have a buffer tube you might have to swap the entire rear trunnion
Great review man,, exactly what I was looking for! Question, with your front rails heating up so quick do you hav any recommendations for a different rail that mitigates heat better allowing you to hold it longer without burning yourself?
To be fair, the basic ass magpul hand guards do an insanely good job at helping with that. Down side is folks hate on them looks wise but the bastards do a hell of a job
Am I sick in the head for wishing that PSA would offer the pistols with a slicked off hinge so I could put a BUIS further back to get a longer sight radius? Also, that brake looks a lot like my fighter brake (that I love).
1) Which hinge base did you order to attach to the AKP? 2) Also I assume you chose the left option for the setup shown? 3) At what distance did you zero the sights and what hold are you using for 100 and 150 yard shooting?
I chose ‘stamped’ and ‘left’ for my folder. I like the fact it folds left and has a rail on the cover. Very convenient. Zero at 100 and at 150 the hold over was nothing to be honest.
It’s a fantastic little weapon. Zero regrets buying one. The threading is on the PSA site. My memory isn’t good enough to remember that. Lol. It’s one of those that I simply will never get rid of unless it was a deal too good to pass up.
What ammo are you running to be able to shoot steel that close? What thickness of steel? AR500? I have some just don’t want to poke a hole in them. I know they say at least 100 yard.
Hey man dope video, I was looking to get that same brace. I didnt see anything on their website listed for psa only some other brands. I was wondering if you could shoot me the link to where you got yours. Thank you!
It’s called a GF3 pistol. Since it does not have the fixed rear sight and hinges rail. I’ve done the initial look at it and just completed the function test today.
He wore that bcm hat and zombie shirt cause he was talking about guns. That zombie shit was played out 10 years ago and there is no bcm in the video. So cringe
For anyone wondering, the muzzle brake seems to be the "Kraken II" 24x1.5 RH made by Texas Shooters Supply.
Thanks for that. Because I am clueless due to being a random find at a gun show
ua-cam.com/video/wtJykp8DZM0/v-deo.html
All the PSA AKs have surprisingly good reviews! I need to pick one up for a shortie build.
Zero complaints with mine. I didn’t think I was going to like it as much as I do!

It’s OK. Can use some improvement but they honor their warranty
@@texas2avideo644 Your AK-P still running? Any update?
Absolutely. Never skips a beat. Truck gun these days lol
I've been. Contemplating some AK Krinkov Pistols, this is one of them. Hard to decide. I love your setup on that build.
Thanks, I have not changed it since. Lol

Try some heat if you can. That will release it
I have an AKV and absolutely love it. May have to add the AKP to the collection. Thx for the review.
I will be honest. In didn’t think I was going to love the AKP, but sure as can be I do.
Very nice with that stock!👍👍
🤣🤣🤣 I bet the cameraman is like I'm pretty sure the sights ok 🤣🤣🤣 good stuff
I really want that muzzle. You have a link to it?
Was a clearance sale find at a gun show, so I have zero idea.

Romanian 75s are the shit. Supposedly made in China so that’s even better
I just got mine in with the red wood. It felt like it took FOREVER.
The red wood is beautiful! Was worth the wait, right?
How long? I just ordered the magpul one

Whats the overall length with the brace folded in?
I’d have to get back home and remember to pull it out the safe and check.
Does your ak have the tang that the puzzle piece adapter goes onto?

Mine does and is compatible with AKM back end stuff with the tang
Can you do a video installing the brace? Just ordered my akp but don’t know how difficult it will be changing sba3 to that cnc warrior brace
Man, it’s so easy that when you remove the SBA3 it is backwards the other way except two screws instead of three.
Texas2A Video would it be the ak stamped hinge base?
So is the set up you’re shooting in the video a brace or stock?
No, it is a CNC warrior brace
Slate black makes nice plastic mlock covers, they look nice and help a little bit with the heat ... not a substitute for gloves but they are better than nothing
That would surely take the edge off.
I ready for the accuracy test!!!
Question from your newest 'scriber... Who makes the obnoxious muzzle break? Thx...
Man, it was a random ass brake I found at a gun show. I was just determined to change the krink style out. lol

Awesome review. Subbed!
I'm hoping they do a AKE pistol
Bought one this week. Can't wait. I am concerned that they are taking a long time shipping guns
They seem to be getting closer to where shipping times were before the zombie virus. It’s worth the wait man!
I bought mine back in May and received it in 2 weeks. You should be fine
What muzzle brake is that. Loved the video

ua-cam.com/video/wtJykp8DZM0/v-deo.html
How did you put the cnc brace on do it come with an adapter or did you have to drill a hole
Direct fit. This had a bigger tube for a SB3 originally
So how do I connect it it takes a buffer tube or ??
The bigger tube mount is removed using a Allen wrench. The new CNC warrior goes in with flat head screws that are provided with the new stock or brace.
If you get one that doesn’t have a buffer tube you might have to swap the entire rear trunnion
So if I buy the buffer tube model akp I'm in good shape far as installing the cnc warrior ?
Yessir!
I have this same gun what exactly did you do to keep your hand from feeling the heat on the handguard??
Use the magazine. Lol.
A angles foregrip is what I’ll use when I find one I like.

How concerned should i be about using a brake on a ak p instead of a booster?
If you don’t mind the report then send it
@@texas2avideo644 Oh I mean functionality. without the booster is there enough pressure to cycle reliably?
Works fine with or without a brake.
Can anyone confirm the compatibility with the AKP-7 buffer tube version with the cnc warrior brace?
I wouldn’t know exactly. The universal rear tang does well. The 1913 rear rail I prefer since it seems to lock in closer
Am I sick in the head for wishing that PSA would offer the pistols with a slicked off hinge so I could put a BUIS further back to get a longer sight radius? Also, that brake looks a lot like my fighter brake (that I love).
I got this brake at a gun show with no details for like 40 bucks. Lol. I like the way it looks but it is obnoxious as hell.
Just curious what muzzle brake is it that you have?
Some random piece I found at a gun show. Never seen another like it.

Looking for a brake on my akp and seems like not a whole lot of selection out there. Any suggestions?
Hit the gun shows man. That’s how I got lucky
And is did you choose it left handed or right handed for it to close on left side of ak
Left for this but would be right for a side rail mount
Does anyone know what the overall length of the PSA AKP is, and the weight?
1) Which hinge base did you order to attach to the AKP?

What ammo are you running to be able to shoot steel that close? What thickness of steel? AR500?
I have some just don’t want to poke a hole in them.
I know they say at least 100 yard.
1/2” is my preference but for a X39, 3/8 will work at 100. The x39 is slow. This was a mix of monarch, Tula, Malaysian surplus and wolf.
@@texas2avideo644 thank you, was it fmj or sp ammo? I think the targets I got are 3/8 thick.
FMJ

I used it again with the 12.5” GF3, it shined hard core on follow up shots but I’ll see what I can do
Is this smaller than a mini draco?
No, this is closer to a M92
is there some type of heat shield you can put on the handguard without interfering with light mount?
Not that I’m aware of.
