Her emotional and psychological development has been severely stunted bc of playing a child-like character for so long. I mean look at her home and those she surrounds herself with….children. Which as a mother is also concerning to me. She is just now hitting her “teenage angst” phase as an adult. My son will be 20 in a couple of months and my daughter will be 18. Both are beyond her emotional maturity. She’s had such a privileged life and her mother has not done her job in preparing her to go out into society as an adult. Jojo needs therapy and away from her mom. Their dynamic reminds me of Eugenia and her mother (minus the ED). Their daughters are their meal tickets to a cushy life and it shows. It astounds me how upset and pissed her mother would get at how Abby spoke to her daughter but clearly has no qualms in speaking demeaning to other peoples children who have chronic illness. Because she allowed her daughter to be demanded and verbally abused, now her daughter is the identical monster, herself. I would t be surprised if jojo is using substances at this point to get through her chaotic life with no close bonds other than her mother, known predators or small children. The kid is going to be burnt out before she hits 30. And just like Miley Cyrus, Amanda Bynes, Brittany Spears…she going to go off the rails and it seems be coming very soon.

Yeah definitely, it takes confronting the abuse to stop the cycle. It's not comfortable, there's often fallout and that can include what you thought was your social safety net. Sometimes it's easier to continue the cycle than acknowledge to yourself that you went through something you shouldn't have.
I havent seen even 30 seconds of Dance Moms and I never will. As an ex dance kid that shit is so triggering and god I feel bad for those kids, now adults. The immaturity and callousness of those moms makes me sick. How people found entertainment from this show is beyond me

Seeing dance moms and jojo siwas show is so odd. I used to dance as a kid and we went to a competition and came 3rd in our category, there were only 3 acts in the category so.. we came last. But my dance teacher still celebrated coming third because we were like 8. Thats a normal, healthy relationship with your dance teacher, not screaming and crying at the children.

That clip with Abby is so insane. And the entire show is like that. If I was Maddy no way I'm coming back to that. Maybe Jojo should reflect a bit. Its probably not that they want to pretend it didn't happen but its that they are still being affected til this day. Why would I want to be exploited on TV again with a camera shoved in my face just for everyone's amusement. I don't think we need a reunion the show was a mistake to begin with. I'm sure the other girls would have gone on to be successful dancers without being abused on TV. Abuse does not make you who are its more like it takes over your life forcefully.
