You'd think he'd be asking men to help with population growth. If a woman is having back to back pregnancies, no recommended wait period, no miscarriages for about 30 years, at most 40 children..which is unheard of. Even women who have a lot of kids and have multiples multiple times have 20 something kids at most. A man could make 40 babies in just a few days. Look at all those cults where men have 150+ kids but the women only have 10-15 kids on average each.

Every time I hear someone say: "But think about continuing your bloodline!" I would love to ask them what's so great about it? I agree. Its an idea that has been pervasive in society for a long time and it can be difficult for people to free themselves from such an entrenched way of thinking. But the population is still growing no matter what we as individuals do. We are not even remotely in a position where we need to all chip in to keep from going extinct. Nor are we trying to replace the casualties of a major war, plague or whatever. Even if we do choose to have children of our own, they in turn should not feel pressured to have their own. The whole bloodlines mentality does also tend to skew towards placing undue importance on the male line. "Have a son so he can carry on the family name". Why does it matter? And casually saying he wants 5-6 kids does seem like a bit of a red flag. It does suggest to me that he either has not considered or does not care how demanding that would be. For the mother especially but for him as well if he wants to even try and be a good father to them.

Agreed. I don't want to have kids (especially not biologic ones) because I'm chronically ill and I desperately do not want to pass that down onto someone else. Hell, I wouldn't impose this shit on my biggest enemy, let alone a child I'm supposed to love. And yes I do think my parents were selfish to have children, knowing full well that there was more than 60% chance we would inherit the illness (which, both me and my brother did). I've had multiple near death experiences due to my condition, but my trauma gets minimized by my mom's constant "it wasn't really that bad tho." ... Like yeah, maybe for her it wasn't, because she didn't need to live through indescribable pain and having no one do anything about it other than hearing the constant "suck it up" or "I've given you (light) pain meds, what more do you want form me?". The only granchildren she'll get from me are cats lol.

It was literally illegal to be gay and in some places it still is, we celebrate our right to love and live just like straight people have had this entire time.

I never wanted children. I ended up with 5. I haven't brought up any of them, and only have a relationship with 2 of them ( long story). But I do love my kids, don't get me wrong, but I still wish I didn't have kids . I should've stood my ground instead of doing what I was told.

as someone who is trans and pan, veterans day, memorial day, and veterans month are very important to me because a majority of my family served. veterans month might be an American thing, but there is indeed a whole month that is celebrated. people who argue against pride month bc veterans don't have a month just don't care about veterans like they want to make other believe. it's very easy to look it up and celebrate, they just don't care to. also, veterans are not looked down on the way queer people are. nobody sees a veteran and thinks "I should go hate crime them because that personally offends and disgusts me"

It's really weird. I know where he lives and obviously I'm not going to say that, but we've a lot of gay and trans people here. I don't know where he picked up these ideas as at least 3 of his school teachers were gay, every bar/club has a gay member of staff or two, and the shop I know he uses had gay managers for like 8 years.

As a biological woman I do not want to have kids at all actually. I want my greatest accomplishment to be my career bc proving that to myself will be pretty great. The idea of me getting pregnant is HORRIFIC to me.

Maybe its because of my upbringing but ive never understood how people can be so affected by a celebration. Im Mexican and we would celebration anything we could just to vibe and chill! I don't know about the UK but in the US, May is National Military Appreciation Month and November is National Veterans and Military Families Month. They just don't know that veterans/military do have a month because they don't actually care about veterans.
There isn’t those kinds of months in the UK, but service members generally get different things across the country around remembrance day like free travel on buses and trains is one in my area. There might be months for veteran and service member appreciation but generally they’re just appreciated all year round (not always, sometimes they’re targeted by people sadly. Even cadets are targeted bc they’re easily identifiable by uniforms)
When you ask U.S women why they aren't having kids, oh I dunno maybe because WE AIN"T GO NO MONEY. Eggs be 10$ and houses close to million, We can't just feed our kids beans and rice and live in a dumpster!

It was literally illegal to be gay and in some places it still is, we celebrate our right to love and live just like straight people have had this entire time.

My step-mom is unable to have kids (she's infertile and has been trying for 10 years) I am her only child since she married my dad and she's okay with that. She's always said that "if I was meant to have kids it would have happened" and she prioritised her work over trying to have kids so she could provide for me and my dad (who is unable to work).
And the thing about "carrying on the bloodline" is also ridiculous. As her step-child I will be able to "carry on her bloodline" if that's so important by giving the child her (and my) last name. 🤨 I'd love to hear his opinions on adoption if this is such a "priority" for him. I'm a lesbian and will adopt a child if ever I have one I can't imagine his reaction to that.

as someone who is trans and pan, veterans day, memorial day, and veterans month are very important to me because a majority of my family served. veterans month might be an American thing, but there is indeed a whole month that is celebrated. people who argue against pride month bc veterans don't have a month just don't care about veterans like they want to make other believe. it's very easy to look it up and celebrate, they just don't care to. also, veterans are not looked down on the way queer people are. nobody sees a veteran and thinks "I should go hate crime them because that personally offends and disgusts me"

I don’t think some men understand how scary pregnancy is as it can become life threatening very quickly before and during pregnancy, and also some people are not cut out to be parents. There are people out there reproducing like rabbits that shouldn’t be parents at all as they don’t make good parents. Just because us women have the ability to reproduce doesn’t always mean that we should. There are also some women who can’t reproduce and in some cases doing so is automatically life threatening. And I’ve heard stories where doctors are like if you get pregnant, you are at high risk or dying, but we won’t allow you to get your tubes tied or get a hysterectomy, just in case you want to get pregnant in the future. Make that make sense

these guys used to live down the road from me and would see them filming in the highstreet quite a few times (in birmingham). strange because this area is mostly inclusive and i’ve seen multiple times a pride flag has been hung. even had a small pride performance on the highstreet for pride one year lol. also in this area there’s basically one mixed gender catholic school. all the rest are gender separated (quite a few) so most likely he went to an all boys school
I don't know about the UK but in the US, May is National Military Appreciation Month and November is National Veterans and Military Families Month. They just don't know that veterans/military do have a month because they don't actually care about veterans.
There isn’t those kinds of months in the UK, but service members generally get different things across the country around remembrance day like free travel on buses and trains is one in my area. There might be months for veteran and service member appreciation but generally they’re just appreciated all year round (not always, sometimes they’re targeted by people sadly. Even cadets are targeted bc they’re easily identifiable by uniforms)
