I think what is important is just to live with what you can afford. We choose to live smaller with our family so that we don't have to rely on the government and still have savings. Our freedom of dependability is important to us.

This is upsetting. She used her husband and kept him around to take care of her, whilst never loving him apparently, bled him completely dry and then left him? The poor husband has to what now? He has no money, debt up to his eyeballs, has child support for all of his kids, probably alimony since she was a house wife & hes older... what does he do now?

Hell yes. I've worked since I was a teenager I'm careful with my spending and I don't flush my hard earned money down a toilet. I love to shop garage sales and Assistance League type thrift stores. I always think about how many hours or days of working my job it would take to earn the money to buy something and I usually end up not buying it.

I did not chose bankruptcy because a family member put up collateral with a bank to lower my interest rate. So I have been paying $200 a month for around 10 years to pay it off I am almost done with that credit card pay off. My family member will receive their “cd” back

Many women are just children in adults bodies. And I say that as a female. It's what I've witnessed out there. She claims she didn't want to go back to work in order to be home with her kids, and be a mom. Riiiiiiiight. Starbucks, hair salons, tanning, nails, shopping.......not much time left for the actual kids, let alone all the domestic chores and cooking that come with being a stay at home mom.
Right. She says she does not want to go to work so she can be a mom to her children. So, women who work can't be moms to their children?? I work within the home, but if I had to work outside the home, I would still be a mom to my kids and put them first. She really wants to stay home so she has more time to shop--not have more time with her kids.

I would presume you don't say no to the man who's your meal ticket. And maybe a bit of physical lovin gives a bit of a different rush for a half hour, a bit like the shopping rush. Besides, some women get a kick out of having a bit of special attention whilst pregnant and with a new baby to show off. I'm not saying this woman is any of these things specifically, but yeah, I can see how it could happen.

Same idea when people eat to be obese .. it is because of low self esteem and usually that comes from deeper issues in the childhood. I know that because a. I experienced that b. We never looked at our biological ties or lack thereof as a hindrance to our relationship. however, i will agree with you on that adversities help make sibling relationships grow stronger.
As for your relationship with your ex-wife and kids it seems there has been some emotional/mental abuse. I don't know much of your personal situation but I can tell you this. Your son's perception of you as a father, and as a man will inevitability influence them when they themselves begin to establish their character as men in life. I hv learned that the strong characteristical traits that define a man in life is not what they endured but rather how they endured. I am happily married for almost 9yrs come October. I hv a 4yr son n one on the way. My wife is the love of my life and my boys are the joy of my life.
Not all of those yrs were "happily". In fact there were some pretty hostile moments...but anything worth hvng is worth fighting for. I will depart with this "love conquers all".
All I'm saying is that I would much rather have divorced parents like I do now that having to hear them scream at each other through the walls. I have many friends whose parents are only still married because of their children or because divorce is too expensive and its terrible to see two people who don't love each other have to fake it in front of you when you still know they are unhappy. Parents underestimate how much their kids know.

I saw this woman again in paternity court. Her husband doubted about his paternity because of this woman's alcoholism and because her husband had vasectomy 20 years ago. But her pregnancy turned her alcoholism away and turned out that she's a loyal woman and vasectomy wasn't a successful one. She remained tactful and mature during the court hearing.
She also admitted to cheating on her then husband with Darren which gave more credibility to Darren's doubts and he admitted that her spending habits and alcoholism continued during their own marriage 😅😅
Now guess who's paying for all that debt and mess she left behind?!...that's right, the guy she left broke and brokenhearted...but of course the man shouldn't complain right...heck even OWN is not trying to find out his side of things or how he's doing. I guess only the happy ending of the compulsive spender is what counts not the guy left holding a bag of debt.

At least we know that by divorcing they made the best choice for themselves and for their children. Not saying this is always true, but couples usually think sex will resolve everything. That a good sex life means a good marriage. But that's not always true and some problems sex can't fix
I think on some level they feel like kids will save the marriage. They know that something is wrong, something is lacking, and they're hoping that kids will fill the void. Theoretically, each child would be one more reason to stay together. But more often than not, the stress of adding another child to an already strained marriage is the wedge that finally drives them apart.

Opiates & pain pills can make people twitch and appear this way, although it could also be anxiety/stress. She is definitely addicted to having children & There will probably be more kids along the way. Honestly, she didn't fool me with the "everything's perfect" and the "I'm so happy now" card. Nor was that cute baby boy an "accident", she knew exactly how to make another baby. She will never truly be happy until she connects with a higher power and becomes honest with herself. PTSD often goes hand in hand with compulsions & addiction. Cognitive therapy would be really good for her. Hopefully she has a therapist to work with. It's important to not bash anyone for their bad choices and wrong doings, bc we have plenty of our own & maybe not to this degree, but we are all just human. Child care is so expensive that a mother without any credentials or experience might still just break even paying for after-school care, which usually has a sliding scale based on income. The more you make the more you pay. Being there when they get off the bus, cooking homemade meals, being able to attend school functions is far more valuable than the few bucks a day take home pay she could have after taxes, child care, and putting gas in her car. I see from your station you are also a compulsive shopper, so I guess you probably aren't very versed in personal finances either.

I will stay home when my kids are all in school. I figure I'll actually have time to get caught up on stuff and pursue my hobbies. In my case, this is fiscally responsible. If it wasn't, I wouldn't do it. I think your comment detracts from the real issue. It isn't a problem to stay home- you just need that to be a responsible choice for your family.

He thought it might not be his because she had been drinking and had blackouts and he was worried she while Under the Influence might have been with someone else but it turned out that wasn't the case.

WestsidePatriot child support doesn't clean someone out. They pay for the main carer to look after the kids. The mum can't pay for all the food, bills, health care, clothes, electronics...by herself just becuase she's the mum.
