In my travelogue I tell a story of falling and getting up again, of courage and serenity, faith in oneself and other people, empathy, hope and determination. About setting out - but not to learn to fear the world, but to find adventure, friendship and love.
The moment that changes everything can come at any time. For me it's a normal Monday morning in the office when I saw a colleague watering a plant with Evian mineral water. I quit my job, left my comfort zone and set off on a trip around the world.
Just my motorcycle Cleo and me, all alone.
But what do you do when there's a military coup right in front of your window? If your lover turns out to be a Russian sniper? Or if you burn your eyes in the highest altitude desert of the world? You learn your lesson and move on.
The journey takes me past 8,000-meter-high mountains in Pakistan, through temples in India, to the safe shores of Australia, into the driest desert in the world in Chile and Bolivia - and in the end back to Germany. Breathlessly, I let my intuition and instincts guide me, experienced the highs and lows of traveling alone. I begans to see the world from a different angle, and discovered life in all its different facets and forms.

The most powerful lessons I have taken from watching similar wonderful videos such as yours Lea, is that it is our governments that tell us how bad other countries are. People are the same all over the world and the most generous are those with the least. Thank you, your story is enchanting.

It's too bad we were not able to see the world trip on video as you are doing now, but everyone has the opportunity to experience it in your book. I read Elspeth Beard's book who was the first woman to traverse the world on a motorcycle back in the 80s. She basically did the same trip as your video shows here, but without GPS, cell phone, or even a good map. Not to downplay your courageous adventure in any way, it is an incredible feat. One day when you are old and grey, you will be sitting in a rocking chair, and these images will be on the shelf and on the wall, showing you as a young woman, doing these amazing things. That is called a truly successful life.
Yes I am full of admiration for her. The first trip that I did when I made my motorcycle license was from Munich to Istanbul - and I had no gps and no working mobile phone either, just paper maps. I can’t even imagine anymore how I survived this trip 😂😂😂
Traveling through Arab countries, Pakistan and India as a woman, A LONE WOMAN - is absolutely crazy...
You have NO IDEA how lucky they were to not get raped and/or killed... You have no idea...
The amount of foreign women that get abducted, tortured, raped and killed EVERY SINGLE MONTH is crazy high! Especially in Pakistan and India!

Dein Bericht hat mich zu Tränen gerührt. Ich fahre schon seit fast 40 Jahren Zweiräder und habe auch auf anderen Kontinenten getourt aber zu einer einzigen Weltreise habe ich es nicht gebracht. I personally wouldn't have set off with a Triumph bike, I wonder how many issues she's had with it..

Your travels are amazing but your ability to tell your story and carry us along with you is what is really special. Your cinematography and production is better than most television networks deliver. As an adventure rider, I dream of taking some of the journeys you have taken and I wish I could capture the memories as you have. Do you also do your own video editing? Keep the videos coming and I look forward to getting your book.
That’s great, thanks for supporting me and getting the book! I edit a lot myself but as well have some help of a super talented editor from the Philippines who works on many of my videos with me meanwhile as I don’t find the time to do the whole editing. (On this one I for example edited the whole beginning of the video and then I had no time to Finnish and he took over - and then I again do an edit in the end to be happy with the final version)
Very intense trip around the world and very deep inside yourself as every biker does anytime when starting a new journey. Love this one as I felt it as mine to explore the limit of the unknown to find at the end the only real truth - the beauty of being on the bike flying over a never seen road.

That’s very true! I always say: you are never alone if you don’t want to be alone (I had a quite lonely phase in South America because it just felt very good)
