Yes, she is very interesting and friendly, but Mark complained all the time, being in South America, "in the middle of nowhere" not bothering to be selfish and rude to the Chilean girl, who always smiled trying to be close, but not really what he likes. He'll be happy when he's in the Northern Hemisphere again, and of course without the sensual Chilean.
thanks so much for this brother! I recently drove a rental car from Buenos Aires to Patagonia (just the northern tip really - Puerto Madryn). It was a wonderful adventure but i saw so many people riding motorcycles on those remote roads - even local grandmas and kids - that I knew I need led to 1. Learn how to ride a motorcycle and 2. Commit to the adventure that I immediately came back to the states and started plotting my ride. I love your channel and your sense of wonder! - not just wanderlust although that’s ok too - but your appreciation for the beauty of nature. That’s what’s motivating me to get my shit together and get down there. Thank you!
As a young hobbyst photographer trying to break into the world of professional photography while finishing up grad school, I thank you infinitely for the wealth of invaluable information that you've shared over the years! And thank you for these amazing travel blog videos! Not only fascinating, but your work gives me hope I can one day reach my dream of owning my own photography studio while also traveling the world and capturing its beauty before I leave this Earth. Much love, peace and blessings. keep up the amazing work inspiring and teaching young photographers. It makes all the difference in the world!
It is very interesting and was for me an eye opener. I certainly did a double take to verify it was you Mark in this video. Myself having an interest in adventuring moto, seeing you in this video was a real appreciation. Spending many moments in the past viewing and learning the photographic tips from your Adorama videos and their store has been very helpful. Thank you I try to understand your stay as best as we all can in these times. Good times ahead to ya!
I have followed your training and videos about photography for years. Now I find you share my passion for adventure riding and I am delighted. This was an exceptional video about an adventure that I had planned and was forced to cancel years back. Thanks so much for sharing. I hope that your guide Eyleen has gotten her bike back operational and is also doing well. Thanks again.
23:15 Mountain winds can be wicked. On major highways in mountainous areas of the US, you will often see signs warning of strong crosswinds. (Is "mistral" only a term for the European mountain winds, or any?) In South America, many of these winds end up dumping into the Straits of Magellan. (They are also the reason that it is suggested that the best place for camping in mountains is neither the valley nor the tops but in between.)
Nice and great job man Carretera Austral is our chilean far west, s place where every thing must done but in the good way. Patagonia is our last chance for survive to the global warmer Good luck
Nice video! always good to share travels with a fellow rider, and better if that rider is from the place you want to explore and can show you "secret" places away from tourism... When you said you were 7 months in Argentina I also remebered another rider/youtuber that was travelling the south americas and was in quarantine there for a long time too, maybe you heard from him, Pedro Mota... Thanks for taking the time to editing and sharing your videos!
Hey Mark! Great trip! We met returning from Ushuaia on Magallanes Ferry (those two HDs) and I was happy to receive the alert from youtube about your video. In case you ride through Brazil let me know! Ride on! Cheers from Floripa!
Very cool! Yes, I remember meeting you! So glad to hear from you. If I make it to Brazil I will send you a note.

@@MarkWallaceVideos Grande Mark!!!
Patagonia is incredible. Is it any wonder that an outdoor clothing company would brand themselves "Patagonia." A slow trip through Patagonia is near the top of my bucket list, but I better do it soon because I'm 63yo. Well, at least, I lived in the US Pacific Northwest (a place which also has an abundance of natural beauty) for 16 years of my life and took as much advantage of that situation as I could, considering that I was working for Microsoft 50-70 hours/week.
Mark and Alyeen what a great documentary...Loved every minute of it because I have traveled by motorcycle on all of these areas and I ay m trying to go north...Stuck for three days in Chaiten and heavy rain and cold....I so wish I could see the sunshine like you both had....The little town that Alyeen forced you to stay at I also spent the night there....Wow what an adventure....This area cause me to stay another month because I broke my leg on 40 North of Tres Logo in the sticky mud which blocked my wheel and cause the bike to fall over ...so now in April winter is coming fast
Great video! It came up on my feed and after watching it I thought,I’ll checkout your other motorcycle travel videos and there isn’t any? Are you planning more? if not you produced a great one 🍻
I had trouble with wind when I had a GSA. I had to do some travel on the interstate Highway, and winds were blowing,e sideways. I had full panniers and top case. They aren’t very aerodynamic. I got off and took longer side roads home, and that was very nice, in the Ozarks of Arkansas. So I didn’t mind that at all. It was just dangerous in high winds.
Mark , you are the best...I have been following many rider but seeing your trips make me feel that I am riding with you. I myself am a rider from India but due to some financial issues I don't have camera stuff so I don't record videos
Hi Mark, I am pleasantly surprised to meet you here on your motorcycle channel. I used to see some photography videos of you on you tube, but I didn't know you had a motor adventure channel.
