I love this shape of RS6, its always been one of my top 10 favourite cars along with other Audis like the B5 S4, B7 RS4 and the old skool Ur Quattro and S2 coupes.

the car came out great . Im more of an oldschool lowrider and muscle car guy so when i see cars in anything flat first thought is primer. then i want to pick up a gun and shoot clear on top of it , but yes it does look tough. glad you got to do a car for yourself the way you want it.

Looks like a glossier version of the Hematite I made for my Challenger. I mixed sterling silver into black, which made Anthracite, then I added Storm cloud to darken it and give it colored shimmer. The Audi looks good, great color!

My God, it just hit me... you're the Norm Abram of dipping LOL. (Norm Abram is one of the hosts of "This Old House", it's a show on PBS, I used to watch it with my mother in the 90s but it's still on, they even have a UA-cam Channel.)

I agree, I like this a lot, looks great on the RS6. I have a 1986 Saab 900 SPG. Saab 900 SPGs are quite rare, and in fact the 1986 was the only year they made the pre-facelifted Saab 900 SPGs. Not only that but only 400 or so made it to the United States... anyways almost all SPGs came in "Edwardian Gray" which is very similar to this, and ever since I found out about dipping I've always to dip it in a dark satin gray.

Yo Fonz. The rs6 looks great. Have you considered some headlight lips to give it a bit more aggressive look. This year model Audi doesn't look as aggressive as say the A7. With the headlight lids, it'll make your car more aggressive. It's only a suggestion though, I probably wouldn't do it because of how few RS6's there are and you are changing the headlight projection.
ugh that motor sounds so freaking sexy. Between the rumble and the whistle, it's got to be one of my favorite exhaust tones.

I found these thermochromic pearls to mix with paint. Do you think that would work if applied with plasti-dip? And if it does work and you decide to go somewhere with it, can I have some sort of compensation haha. Thanks for taking the time to read/reply if you do. I've loved the idea of plasti dip for a while now just haven't had the expendable income to try it just yet. :( But I will soon! Definitely purchasing from dyc in the future!

Just picked up a 2003 RS6 in factory Daytona Grey Pearl, love it. Like your battleship look example too, very nice. Wondering what DYC products you'd suggest to try to best duplicate the RS6's stock brushed metal (stainless? satin?) mirrors elsewhere on the car? For example I'd love to dip my rear wing and maybe door handles to match the mirrors. Ideas?

Question fonzi, why didn't you dip the mirror covers? I think that would finish it up. Or are you trying to give it some contrast?
The RS6 has aluminium mirror covers. It's part of the trim package. I'm guessing he wants to keep the look of the trim.

TheSwedishRebel thats actually illegal in a lot of cities in the US..... and if you're in an accident (rear ended) your insurance can actually deny coverage due to the low visibility of your brake lights. and I'm pretty sure its the only reason they haven't made videos on that yet.
