Amazing 69 Camaro Build - Root Beer Float

- Check out this amazing 1969 Camaro build. So many little details to see from shaved door handles to an integrated rear spoiler. Aegis Armors had the honor to be a part of this build providing powder coating services along with paint correction and ceramic coatings.
This build was a 2+ year process. All of the suspension components, rotor hats and calipers were powder coated to accent this beautiful paint scheme. After the build was completed, it was brought over to Aegis to perfect the already amazing paint job, then apply our Aegis Armors ceramic coatings to the entire exterior, engine compartment, wheels, calipers and glass.

I can’t believe anyone would have a Camaro and paint it brown. Then it turns out to be maybe the most beautiful car I’ve ever seen. Stunning
Being completely honest, that's the same thing i thought when I first saw the car inside under poor lighting...why brown? After paint correction and Aegis Armors ceramic coating the color just came to life. Once outside in the sunlight, all the gold popped so hard and it looked amazing.

When the lights are on this car, the color really is amazing.

yeah a lot of guys on the westcoast back in the 90-s 00s were painting older cars the color especially in east bay Oakland.

Classy looking car. Always liked the candy root beer style paint. Don't see it that much anymore. That spoiler looks so much better than stock.
Yes sir, it's definitely a unique color. It looks amazing in the sun light. I think the builder said he had over 60 hours forming the ducktail into the trunk and two fenders. So much attention to detail on this build. We have a 68 Camaro vid coming soon. Def stay tuned for that one.
Just the color alone will get first 🥇 place. smooth killing it with the whole ride.

I remember the builder telling me he had around 70plus hours just doing the rear spoiler. I agree, it looks fantastic.

I've never been a fan of brown cars. That is until I found a sweet deal on a Desert Silver Metallic 2002 Acura RSX--a very classy colour that really pops in the sun! Since then I've seen a couple Root Beer Metallics at car shows and absolutely love that colour in the sun. Pictures or video just doesn't do the colour justice. It seems like every car company stopped offering brown colours 15-20years ago. That's because their browns looked like different shades poo, and no one wants to drive in a poo mobile.
I def was not a fan at first, but after the paint correction, polishing and ceramic coat it just popped like crazy.
Paint is pretty unique, I like how it captures red and flops back.
I'm glad you caught that too. Everytime I went by our red doors it made the car look reddish. I didn't realize what it was at first when we were editing the video.
Awesome. I love the head light covers for the speaker grills on the back deck lid. ELITE.
Wonderful Color on this 1969 hidden headlights Camaro the interior is off the chain, the rims matches this Car to the T. 👍🏾

This body style pretty much fits any color and this color isn't bad. If i did I own one though I'd want one with a brighter/lighter color... but that's just my preference.
Agreed, there really isn't a bad color on a 69 Camaro. This one is definitely unique and really pops out in the sun.

Not a fan of the rear spoiler compared to factory. Imho.
Appreciate the comment. I know the builder spent a LOT of man hours molding that rear spoiler in. Thats what his customer asked for, and he made it happen. At the end of the day, it's all about personalizing your car to the way ytou like it.
Your car, your money, your style; I still prefer original.

Very nice build, not hating at all but those twin stock throttle bodies gotta go. Throws off the appearance of the engine bay not being symmetrical. Beautiful paint job

Hello, we are a coatings company. On this vehicle we did all the powder caoted parts and also performed paint correction, polishing and application of ceramic coating to the exterior paint

We really enjoyed working on this one. The color is definitely unique. I wasn't a huge fan at first, but after polishing and ceramic coating were added, the color just pops like crazy in the sun

@@rwright3395 We did the paint correction, polishing, ceramic coating and powder coating for the project. Not sure what the body work and paint cost were, but I do know the complete build was in the high $200K area

Its really nice, but lets see it do what it was built for, do some burnouts and some street drags. Don't just be a trailer queen, that blows.

What is the base color under the rootbeer?
I'm not sure about the base color, my presumption is it was gold base. We only paint corrected and ceramic coated.

The car is for sale down in Charlotte. I believe it's listed for $225-235k. I know the build was a lot more than the asking price.
Nice paint and overly fancy interior. Quite the Trailer Queen. Won't see more than 20 miles on the road. Might chip that $20,000.00 paint job.

Not sure of the color name. we did the paint correction, polishing, powder coating and ceramic coating. I can tell you the top color is a Toyota color (I remember the builder making a comment about it) and there's a gold flake base color under.

Sorry to disagree, MOST people can't paint a car this well. And the video shows what's under the hood. Nothing super crazy, the customer asked for a moderate power build that would be very reliable. A 550 HP naturally aspirated motor (engine just for you😜) fit the requirements

crate motor? so you mean only the alternator is built by crate? Because a motor conducts electricity (alternator). A combustion ENGINE is what powers a vehicle. so, maybe it's a crate ENGINE
The clown shoe rims and rubber band tires completely ruin that car. Looks like it should be in a Flava Flav vid.
Well, it is a Pro Touring build made to handle and perform like a late model performance car. Doesn't make much sense to have all that suspension and big brakes and then put a high profile tire that flexs and rolls over on itself...kind of defeats the purpose of this particular build. That being said, it's not for everyone.
