Could you type out this specific recipe?
I have the newest ball cookbook, and it doesn’t have a recipe for Bloody Mary mix?
After all these years you still inspire me! Looks delicious!
A woman after my own heart. I'd never thought of canning Bloody Mary Mix. What was I thinking?! Bwahahaha A whole new world has opened up for me. Thanks, Linda!
You inspired me to get my Ball book off the shelf and start making a list of what I need to pick up to can this!
HA! And my husband said u can’t make ur own BM mix. I said phooey and went srt8 to utube and found this great recipe! Thank u!!
Love it... perfect for a cool saturday night. Cheers. ♥
Yep yep🥂
I've never had a bloody Mary. But my aunt swore by it as a hangover fix. 😄 It sounds delicious as Virgin Mary. Yum yum!
It's my favorite without the alcohol
LOVE the camera work. Rawwwwrrrrrrr
Great vid - I’m inspired
That looks so good! With all the crazy weather here in the Midwest this year (especially the derecho in August), I lost a lot of tomato plants. So, my harvest has been much smaller than usual. I don't think I'm going to get many more tomatoes this year, but we'll see. There's always next year, if not! The Fresh-Tech canner is AWESOME! I bought one last summer, and love it!
Oh no! Maybe next year :(
Man, I’ll this will be soooo good in a Bloody Mary! Even by itself without alcohol. Very nice. ❣️❣️❣️
That's how I do it all the Time
Awesome bounty of tomatoes & a great thing to can.
I love how many I have gotten this year
I canned up 11 pints of this. It really is delicious. I’ll be making more of this.
Gotta add this to my Christmas baskets this year @LindasPantry😋❤️ Kristy in Missouri zone 6b 😃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Excellent as always, Linda. I finally subscribed but I've been looking for a twist for my Mexican Michelada Recipe. Perhaps a touch of Horseradish and use my shrimp and lobster shells when cooking the tomato...good stuff..I'll be watching!
You know this would be a great Christmas gift to if you have people on your list that likes Bloody Mary. Think I’ll give it a try. Thank you!!
It really is a great gift!
Do you think I will be good if I use frozen tomatoes for this recipe?
I love horseradish and organic ketchup yet I despise hot peppers. And I would use key limes from my tree! Yum!
Sounds delicious 😋
Oh yum!! I'm hoping you have a homemade tomato sauce recipe video! It would be helpful for us newbies if you put a link to your related videos - as if you're not busy enough.
I used up all my tomatoes! Guess I’m heading to farmstand for enough for this recipe!!
Sounds great!
Can I make this and can without using a food mill and taking out skins? The skins have so many nutrients.
the link for the canning book goes to the strainer. Please let me know what book you used please. Love your video's thanks.
I think the confusion on the Tattlers is because they have the originals and the newer EZ Seal ones perhaps? Looks delicious!!!!
Actually some boxes do not have that instruction neither does the website because now all of the tattler lids are an easy seal
Do you have the receipt for how much of each ingredient
Looks wonderful! Do you leave the rings on after processing?
No I have a follow up video coming up next to talk about that
Perfect timing cause I’m thinking to make that’s same Bloody Mary mix with my tomatoes too! And I just got my tattlers, haven’t tried them yet.
It is so delicious 😋
Linda's Pantry interesting though the instructions on the box of my tattlers is different. It says to tighten the band until the jar spins and that’s it. They must have changed their boxes recently.
@@ajeatoo that's what the website now shows also. I think to tight at first were causing jars to break
I am not a bloody mary fan but think i have JUST BECOME ONE!
So good!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Bloody Mary's! This looks amazing! is there something you can use instead of a food mill? I don't have one. Also, I have the latest edition of the Ball Canning book and it does not contain a recipe for Bloody Mary Mix???
And, never mind on the food mill question - I have ordered one. Yay!
Linda, excellent editing, keeping videos short! It would be great if you could post the recipe below, not just the book link or do a screen in the video. I didn't understand about the pickle juice?
Thank you so much 💓
I need to try this Linda. I have watched you use Tattlers for years but they make me nervous! I will need to try test them out with some short term pantry items. By the way, I was thinking about one of your UA-cam friends but I haven’t seen a video from her the last few months...Linda from 2leelous. I hope she is okay?!
I'm sure she is just busy
Hi Linda, have you ever made leek & potato soup? And if so, how did you water can it? I use a stock pot to water can it, at an altitude of 2,657 above sea level. In the new ball canning book, 5min time. But I dont know if this is low or high acidity. Confused.
Only pickled items, tomatoes,
and fruits are high acid; they are the only things that can be waterbath canned. Vegetables and meats are low acid and require a pressure canner. Also, since you mentioned potato soup, you will have to wait to add any milk or cream until you are ready to serve, as dairy cannot be canned ( according to Ball).
@@bethdavis6863 so the oxtail and lamb that I canned should be thrown out? Still confused... in the hay days they did not have pressure canners they used stock pots. I think maybe I need to stick to jams and jellies...
I couldn't find the recipe, maybe my ball canning book is outdated?
Can u post recipe please
Thank you for the video! Does this taste similar to Spicy V-8?
I canned the Bloody Mary mix. I Love it.
Yes it does!
@@lindaignagni187 ty!!!!
@@LindasPantry Thank you!
Much better
I can’t find the recipe anywhere.. could you post it please.. thanks
I have the canning book you show in your link but am unable to find the recipe. I’ve watched the video a billion times because I thought you mentioned the page the recipe was on . Is it called something else in the book? I will go through the book page by page if I have to! Love your videos, I have learned so much. Thank you.
Page 203
That is weird, on page 203 the category is salsa and the recipe is Fresh Vegetable Salsa. I will have to keep looking. I must have a different edition.
Rebecca Joe F. Same for my book 😩
It's in the All New Ball Book of Canning and Preseving.
The light blue cover book on page 203
wendy tallant thank you so much! I have that edition too! You’ve made me one happy lady! ♥️👍
Unfortunately I could not find the recipe in my Ball Canning book
I will post it later
@@LindasPantry Have you posted that yet? I might just have to wing it. Thank you for your videos!
I can't find this recipe in this book! Linda, would you give the page number please?
203
Are you able to provide the recipe for the Bloody Mary?
2 qts. Tomato juice
1/2 c finely minced celery hearts
6 T Worcestershire Sauce
6 T dill pickle juice
1/4 c prepared horseradish
2 T hot sauce
2 t salt
2 t garlic powder
1 t black pepper
1 t celery seed
1 t smoked paprika
1 c bottled lemon (or lime) juice
Combine all except lemon juice in an 8 qt stainless or enameled pot. Bring to a boil; reduce to a simmer for 5 min. Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice.
Ladle into hot jars, leaving 1/2 inch heads pack. Debubble. Wipe rim. Waterbath pints for 35 minutes, adjusting for altitude.
Where is the Bloody Mary?? LOL!!
Lol
Oh trust me Lol
I clicked on your video because I think I is great that you are prepping something fun!!! Wait til we see how miserable people are without their alcohol, Cheetos, coke and junk during the coming civil war. Prep goodies as well
Hahaha
Where is the recipe??
why say you will leave the link for the book you are using and then there is no link ... thank you to those who's intent matches the words ...
I don’t like the taste of horseradish AT ALL. yuck 🤢
