    I made this and canned it up for our daughter in law. There was a bit left so my husband tried it as is, then with the vodka. Mr. I Hate Vodka is now a fan and I've been making batch after batch for him 😂😂😂

    WOW! Jeni, you are always bringing us some wonderful canning recipes. Love the fact that you share the book's that you use. I truly understand the smokiness you are describing. Just smoked some jalapenos today, they are now in the dehydrator with a couple of trays of cherry tomatoes (I sprinkled with a Habanero seasoning and freshly ground black pepper). I felt uneasy about putting the dehydrator on the patio. Because, I had never seen before, 3 raccoons walking on the wall. Anyhow, the garage is not overly powerful with the chili. Smells super delicious. As always thank you for sharing.

    Jeni, I just love your channel and I’m sorry if I’m a pest, but I’m just learning. I am a major connoisseur of bloody Mary’s. I do not have the time nor the energy to make my own tomato juice. Would it be possible to use store-bought, tomato juice and pressure can this recipe?

    What if you don't have a smoker?? Can you somehow do it on a grill??

      Yes or oven roasted it skip it and just use them from raw. 😊

    I really tried to follow along but as you added each ingredient... you kind of kept jumping back and forth in your narration of what the 2-quart recipe called for vs your 3.5X recipe. Sometimes you would say what the recipe called for each ingredient and then you'd tell us about the calculation. For other ingredients, it seems that you just went right to the 3.5X without mentioning that. For the celery salt and lemon juice, you never gave a measurement. Maybe it's a copyright thing from the Ball book, I really don't know, Since you didn't list the ingredients and instructions in the description text and I don't have the Ball book, it got a bit confusing and I had to employ a bit of guesswork,

      If you followed the video, I used 2 ball recipes, one for the juice and one for the Bloody Mary mix. I doubled the recipe for the juice (which gave me 7 qts of tomato juice) and 3 1/2 x the Bloody Mary mix recipe (2 quarts of tomato juice needed for each Bloody Mary mix recipe). There was no back and forth, I was telling you as I went along how I did it and how much Ball called for each recipe. Yes, I will not write out a recipe I got out of a Ball book. I only give out my own recipes. I’m sorry it was hard for you to follow. You can find the book on Amazon if you are interested in those recipes.

    Couldn't you just add some liquid smoke if you don't have a smoker?
