Big thumbs up from me!! Superb video - the commentary is great and very professional all round. I know what you mean about the atmosphere given off by the railway due to it being small - it is really friendly. I've only visited a couple of times in the last couple of years so its great to see what it was like when it first opened.
Interesting to watch this now. A view of me with no grey hair, and a few volunteers no longer with us :( Progress with developing this railway has been slow, but now with having been granted a long lease on the track bed, the railway is now in a better position to attract grant funding, and the future looks a lot brighter. We hope to be running down as far as the old Boughton crossing by this time next year, to a new station located there. Our biggest problem is lack of volunteers, so anyone interested , with a bit of time to spare, please look in and ask about volunteering, any Sunday running day.
Thanks for commenting..Getting to a stage in life when I dont want to dash all over the country doing Rail Vids...Must spend a bit more time at out local railways
Just found this video what a great peace pf history you have there I love the old stream trains and love my local railway Bo'ness and kinniell I hope yours has gone from strength to strength
Nice video - always find the early days of Heritage Lines interesting. In what way was it more friendly than more commercialised places? More relaxed, ad hoc and easy going with certain stuff? Interesting note that 5374 is being restored at a Heritage Railway near Plymouth but with the intention of running her to give rides and raise funds for a children's hospice charity!
