I have a mint.., fully-restored from the ground-up IT 175.. Excellent trail bike.., actually moves pretty good.., and - nothing beats the sound of a fin-cooled 2 - Stroke.. ✅️
Talk about bringing back memories... man I wore the wheels off of mine, had the same 83 it250. Had a really wide ratio transmission that I really like for trail riding, I really like this one over my yz490, this bike was super easy, a real easy but strong Power Band❤❤❤
In the 1980s I owned a DT250, rode that bike really hard, through forests and trails and it just would not break, british expression back then was 'I thrashed the bollox off that bike' and got a good price when i sold it.
Look at the Austrians they sell all the 2T woods and cross country bikes. A KDX, PE, or IT would as well. Even keeping with older tech at a lower price they’d be a great play bike.
I'd buy one all day long , raced for 25 years and new bikes do not compare to the sheer feeling of older bikes, long live the 2 stroke! 4 stroke pussies
I owned the IT200 at the same time I had an 87CR250 That 200 would almost hang with the CR in a straight line pull. I really surprised me, because I wasn't expecting it to run like that. Trails, whoops, jumping and turning, was a different story against the CR. Lol. But it was fun, and I kept it around to let whoever wanted to go riding, but didn't have a bike.
Basically a blue YZ with lights and some tweaks that year. Those bikes can be made to rip and were well reviewed by the mags back in the day. Pretty sure it's an '82 as the '83 had different suspension with link. Great find who ever gets the bid.
Bring back memories of being a teen in the 90s, i hwd the same bike. It was the bike i own too before I became legally blind. Anyone will be lhcky to own that bike.
That's actually an 1982 model IT250J with the YEIS bottle on the RHS fuel tank underneath..and the older MONO SHOCK cantilever rear suspension system under the tank..The 1983 K model had the newer and better MONO CROSS system with linkage shock unit behind the airbox..and a rectangular headlight not round as on this bike.
Hey Ken , i thought the 83 IT had the Monocross rear suspention. That bike looks like an 82 model because of the old A frame swingarm. The 83 didnt have that , it had the conventional staright swingarm. Just curious.
Beautiful bike Ken, But that's not an 83 model. That an 82 J model. The 83 had a conventional swing arm with linkage, the 83 also shares the same frame, plastic and most other parts from the 83/84 IT490, minus the different engine and exhaust.
1982 Yamaha IT250 I haven't seen one of those sir in a very long time. I mean I've seen others but they're junky looking not like that. That thing looks brand spanking new another mind-blowing memory bike I love it sir. Gorgeous machine! Great filming Ronnie❤😮 Jay's collection is amazing
Ken, you totally came through on the Maico 700, it's time you roll up on that legitimate post-factory CRE250 🏁 They're out there, just gotta keep your eyes peeled. Whether italian or aussie built, it's definitely gonna be a sweet addition to the NEMM lineup. 🏆 Or, see if you can source the parts and just whip up a Kaplan built CRE500! 😱😱😱😱😱😱
it looks like the rear fender is off a 490....it looks off a tad....juss say'n.....my buddy has an '82 IT... it dont look as big as that fender, beautiful bike tho!!!
The Yamaha IT series is one of the geatest dirt bike families of all time.

It's AIR COOLED not fin cooled.
@@stevencunningham4680who gives a shit🤷♂️
I had that same exact bike in 83 it coast $1895.00 it was the best dirt bike I ever owned wish I still had it .
pure rocket ship
Being a old Suzuki PE rider, those were a blast to ride and give my buddies crap about. Thanks for the memories brother.

As far as I am concerned
They should still be making these bikes
They look and go great
What more do you want
I’d buy one if they made them just like that and sold with an MSRP of $2999. ;-)

Sign me up, had em from 79’ till 86’last year made 200S, I’d buy one in.a heartbeat damn I miss all mine. 🐾🇺🇸✌️
@@gregbishop3167if you can ride they are as fast as anything in the tight stuff, especially with a little tweaking.
That swingarm is second to none. Mono-X and Full-Floater is so 80s.

The IT 125 is the rarest find
Man that thing is a beast. It's great to realize that these things are still out there and somebody has been taking care of them.
Those were fantastic bikes

The 1983 looks completely different (bodywork, swingarm etc).
There are no words! I'm speechless. Just wow!

My friend has a IT465 bored out to 490 it was first 2 stroke I ever drove lol 😂
Genuinely didn't know about the rim identification. Learn something new everyday as they say.
I had the exact bike and the 175. I really liked the 175 handling but the 250 had the extra grunt to climb. Love the IT,s. Always wanted a minty 200.
So cool!
Great bike that Kenny, love all your video posts, and God Bless America! ✌👍
I owned one these! Using a YZ250H piston really livens them up.
Really like the it series bikes of this era
Looks fresh of the showroom floor!
Why was the rake so long on these bikes?
Amazing 250 looks new
I want that bike soooooo bad

Did they make these road legal? I've seen photos of them with blinkers etc but... yeah.

Road legal here in UK brother
IT/KDX/PE/XR all road legal in Australia.
They're all dirt bikes before anything else though and not meant for riding on the freeway.
