Actually, I believe the Phazon Laser is a reference to Dark Samus’ final battle in Metroid Prime 2, where she ejects a massive amount of Phazon from her body to maintain stability.
-You forgot to mention Chrom's Sword becomes the Exalted Falchion. Chrom gets that sword after preforming the "Awakening" on his Falchion with the help of Naga, so he can defeat Grima. -Grand Cross also borrows the energy like appearance from Aria of Sorrow and onward (probably to to make the religious reference less apparent like in those games). Richter also strikes the same poses as he does when preforming an Item Crash which is what Grand Cross is. Not only that but Item Crashes debuted in Rondo of Blood.
@Dominique Lefe Nope Chrom, Marth and Lucian's sword are the exact same sword. They just come from different time periods and the design changed because the hilt of the sword keeps getting worn out and had been changed numerous times. The only Flachion that isn't the same is the one used by Alm.
@@Mudkip971 How could swords that look different be the same sword. Well, Lucina's sword looks exactly like Chrom's while Marth's has a different design. Woomy but it doesn't tell what happened on that certain stage in their respective game. Like for example the bayonetta clock stage obviously comes from bayonetta but anyone who hasn't played or watched a play through would not know why its even falling
Great end to a great series of videos buddy! Ever thought about doing an origins of entrance animations? A bit trivial but they *are* simple so you'd probably be able to do them all in one video
You forgot to mention that in Fire Emblem Awakening, Chrom (and Lucina, but not relevant here) have a unique animation for Aether, which is what Chrom uses in Smash, but otherwise spot on!
aether is pretty much just sol followed up by luna. sol uses the "jumping attack" animation (although chrom slides more than he jumps), while luna uses the "go past the opponent" animation. the animation for aether is just those two attacks in succession (that is, if the first attack does not kill the opponent)

While the move is Similar, Chrom’s recovery has a different origin. It was used in a Cutscene played during Awakening in the Arena Ferox level when he first fought ‘Marth’. Kind of?
@Otacon464 just a minor correction here. not every lord learns aether. ike, chrom and lucina learn it naturally, as well as any other daughter chrom fathers (any son he gets inherits the rightful king skill instead). male corrin can learn it through reclassing to vanguard, but so can any other male unit in fates. no other lord is capable of learning aether (unless skill inheritance from heroes is taken to consideration, but any unit barring healers can learn it, so that does not count)

Yes, finally, my favorite final smash is shown in this series. Chrom's. Everything is just so perfectly executed in it. If you're interested, I'm going to break it down the entire move. First he says one of his critical hit/skill activation voice lines (Now I'm Mad, Your end has come, etc...), most likely it is for the skill called Sol activating, not a critical hit, (The first time his sword shines, Sol is a move used in FE which heals the user for 50% of the damage they do) and I can't tell, but I think his sword, Falchion also transforms into the Exalted Falchion (The sword Marth has, it's the strongest form of that sword), then he jumps away, his sword shines again which activates another skill called Luna (This in FE ignores 50% of the enemy's defense) as he dashes through them with the strike. The only thing it's missing is the Fire Emblem health bars and for the Sol part of Aether (Aether is just two skills, Sol and Luna, put together for two consecutive hits) to heal him. But I don't know of any final smash besides Daisy or Peach that heals the user off the top of my head so that could be a little broken or overkill. I know final smashes are very well done and have a crazy amount of detail, but to someone who doesn't play Fire Emblem, it just looks like as I remember some youtuber saying, them performing an anime limit break, which isn't the case. They're just using the techniques they have learned from their home games. This is why Chrom's Final Smash is my favorite, it's pretty fast, but it has so much detail put into it even to how when he performs the 2nd strike, Luna, he strikes through them, just like his game rather than like Marth of Lucina where they stop in place (They don't do Aether, but you get the point, if Chrom didn't go past his opponent, it would just look like a critical hit rather than the skill Luna. Now that I think of it, Lucina's final smash should be Aether as well considering she learned all of her sword skills from Chrom). Chrom's final smash is super simple, but really represents Fire Emblem Awakening almost perfectly.
My favorite is King K Rool's. He is one of my favorite video game characters of all time and to see him literally blow up Donkey Kong Island (Donkey Kong Country) is just amazing. Everything about it is perfect to me. He may not be the best or even high tier but I still enjoy playing as him and crushing opponents with his final smash. Thanks for making this series. P.S. I know you didn't mention Piranha Plant's Final Smash but it is also one of my favorites all because it references The Subspace Emissary from Brawl. Thanks again for making this series.
My favorite final smash is probably Max Malicious Moonsault, which probably has some bias since Incineroar is my main, but idk, it's just so fun and satisfying to watch. I also really like Terry's final smash.
Now, my complaints out of the way; Ridley's final smash has to be my favorite. It can tag 2 opponents and if they are over 100%, instant KO. I've lost count of how many matches I've won when my opponent just would not get knocked out no matter how hard I hit them, so I needed to kill them on the spot with the final smash.
You know, Peach and Daisy both having fitting Final Smashes in a sense. The naming scheme fits Daisy more than it fits Peach, but the dropped healing items have more of a logical connotation in Peach's case than in Daisy's. Also I just noticed, if you count the Greek epsilon as a third 6, Richter's fighter number is literally the number of the beast. Funny, for a man hunting the night.
Might be less-than-ideal-wording, but you seem to imply that Ridley's Final Smash will launch fighters under 100%, when in fact the move does no knockback whatsoever.
The Belmont’s final smash actually has reference to two games; Rondo of Blood is the first one, being Grand Cross(which honestly, it should have been Hydro Storm), but the initial hit is actually a tomb from Super Castlevania 4. There was a moving tomb that could harm you, and the way it opens and spins is almost identical to how it is in SCV4.
Some Final Smashes I could guess for some characters if they make it: - Byleth: Gambit Attack (commands a Battalion to attack) - Legionis: Legion Fusion - Tracer: Overwatch Assault (a cinematic of Tracer and five Overwatch members attacking) - Travis: that Death Drive suit from the NMH3 trailer - Sora: Trinity Limit (likely not with Donald and Goofy) - Scorpion: Annihilation (opponents fall into the Netherrealm, and are overcome by fallen Shirai Ryu clansmen) (off-chance Spirit fighters) - Rex: Union Sword (a cross-slash with the swords of Pneuma and Nia) - King Boo: Nightmare (sends foes to the dimension from Dark Moon, flies around, and jumpscares them) - Geno: Geno Flash - Ninten: PK Beam Omega - Octoling: Tenta-Missiles (lock on similarly to Snake's Covering Fire)
If you're trying to think of a series to replace this, a special origin series might take longer, but would be awesome! You could even split it into four series, one for each special type
It would make sense for Peach to use her beauty in her final smash (sorta) but I don't think Daisy doing the same thing fits her character. She is portrayed as a tough and energenic kind of princess after all. I think it would make more sense if Daisy crashed a Sarasaland plane onto the stage instead. I call it "Sarasaland Plane Crash."
My personal favorite Final Smash out of the base Ultimate newcomers has got to be Ken’s Shippu Jinraikyaku. The series of kicks, visuals, movement, sound effects, and the finishing blow after Ken rises in the air are just SUPER cool IMO (no pun intended).

"That's funny, because the Final Smash is a maxed out version of a move from the Pokemon games, which is already a maxed out move of another move." AND THIS...IS TO GO...EVEN FURTHER BEYOND!!!
So far, all the newcomers in Fighters Pass 1 have cinematic Final Smashes (not Piranha Plant, but it's not in the Fighters Pass itself). But really - All-Out Attack, Gigaslash, The Great Jinjonator, even Triple Wolf - all cinematics. I wouldn't be surprised if Challenger Pack 5's fighter has a cinematic FS, too.
K. Rool's FS is my favorite of the SSBU newcomers. Just that nod back to DK64 makes me oh so happy since that was K. Rool's last canonical DK appearance. Not sure if games like DK Climber count since it has a different mechanic but you see what I mean lol
To the Endcard: Changed Artwork huh? Nice. (Not sure if it's the first time to see it, but it surely _is_ for me. Looks way more dynamic as the older one.
Here's a fact, in both showings, the Z move while Malicious is NOT a moonsault. A moonsault is a backwards body splash. In Pokemon, he does a forward splash with numerous rotations. In Ultimate, while more similar to an actual moonsault, it wouldn't be considered one for the flip is incomplete and is more of a diving headbutt

Gotta love Incineroar's Final Smash. It's so brutal lmao.
Some Final Smashes I could guess for some characters if they make it:
- Byleth: Gambit Attack (commands a Battalion to attack)
- Legionis: Legion Fusion
- Tracer: Overwatch Assault (a cinematic of Tracer and five Overwatch members attacking)
- Travis: that Death Drive suit from the NMH3 trailer
- Sora: Trinity Limit (likely not with Donald and Goofy)
- Scorpion: Annihilation (opponents fall into the Netherrealm, and are overcome by fallen Shirai Ryu clansmen)
(off-chance Spirit fighters)
- Rex: Union Sword (a cross-slash with the swords of Pneuma and Nia)
- King Boo: Nightmare (sends foes to the dimension from Dark Moon, flies around, and jumpscares them)
- Geno: Geno Flash
- Ninten: PK Beam Omega
- Octoling: Tenta-Missiles (lock on similarly to Snake's Covering Fire)
Dark Samus actually uses Phazon Laser in the Prime series.
So if anything Samus is the one copying Dark Samus.
Samus has used a laser before when fighting Metroid Prime.

I got to be honest. I don't like how Ken close-up Final Smash can actually take himself off stage.
I wish chrom just screamed 'NOW I'M ANGRY' when he used his fs
Richter Belmont and Rondo of Blood are the best things on the planet.
I like both of Ryu's final smash attacks, and I also really like Simon and Richter's final smash attacks
i love zeldas final smash, not a new comer but a new final smash, the gravitational force is so strong and its so fun to use
I'm a little biased because i'm a huge Castevania fan, but i'm all for Richter's Grand Cross. My favorite by far. The Coffin that spins in from of them is from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, where it is used as a Saving point for Alucard amd Later Richter!
I was thinking about this this morning, thanks for giving me something to fall asleep to ^^
Ey man! Now I'm here all the first fighter pass is revealed so I hope that you make the final smash origins for all of them (I also understood if want to wait until Byleth is actually released but pleased do it)
I love King K. Rool's Brand Newest Final Smash of his, the Blast-O-Matic! Using that Final Smash of his at his opponents, then blast his Archenemies' home island, DK Island - Love it! I am so glad and happy he's now FINALLY in SSBU!
Your new outro looks good!👌
Dark Samus’s final smash is based off of the phazon beam from prime 1 when samus uses her phazon suit to absorb phazon to kill Metroid prime
"That's funny, because the Final Smash is a maxed out version of a move from the Pokemon games, which is already a maxed out move of another move." AND THIS...IS TO GO...EVEN FURTHER BEYOND!!!

Do you suppose you could do a What If series that involves what the random selected characters' Classic Mode would be?
So far, all the newcomers in Fighters Pass 1 have cinematic Final Smashes (not Piranha Plant, but it's not in the Fighters Pass itself). But really - All-Out Attack, Gigaslash, The Great Jinjonator, even Triple Wolf - all cinematics. I wouldn't be surprised if Challenger Pack 5's fighter has a cinematic FS, too.
Dark Samus shoots giant phazon beams as one of its most iconic attacks. It fits DS more than it does Samus.
K. Rool's FS is my favorite of the SSBU newcomers. Just that nod back to DK64 makes me oh so happy since that was K. Rool's last canonical DK appearance. Not sure if games like DK Climber count since it has a different mechanic but you see what I mean lol
My favorite is Phazon Laser. Not only because Dark Samus is my favorite character, but also because it looks cool
Ridley's final smash with the ship in the background! Ha!
To the Endcard: Changed Artwork huh? Nice. (Not sure if it's the first time to see it, but it surely _is_ for me.
Looks way more dynamic as the older one.
You deserve more attention!
Personally my favorite final smash is piranha plant's because so many references can be made out of that single move (and petey is great)
Here's a fact, in both showings, the Z move while Malicious is NOT a moonsault. A moonsault is a backwards body splash. In Pokemon, he does a forward splash with numerous rotations. In Ultimate, while more similar to an actual moonsault, it wouldn't be considered one for the flip is incomplete and is more of a diving headbutt
Kens close up final smash makes me also think of his street fighter x tekken super art
My favorite final smash, out of the rest of the characters in Ultimate (base roster only), is Max Malicious Moonsault by Incineroar.
Chrom's final smash is my favorite. I feel like its the most flashy of them all and has the most uniqueness of any of the swordfighters.
