Great review! In terms of sound quality which one is better Suunto Wings or Shokz Openrun Pro? And how much better? I like the design of Wings but sound quality is much more important I think. So really don't know if I should get Suunto W or Shokz OP as my first bone conduction headphones. Which would you recommend more for sound?

I used to be sponsored by Suunto for years and years. They make the highest build quality gear imaginable. I'm a user of older Shokz that are IP67 as well and I think that is super important. I've forgotten I've had them on and jumped in my pool several different times and gone completely submerged before realizing what I'd done. They always survived with no problem. I think the Shokz Pro are only IP6 and I won't buy them because I'm a heavy sweater since I live in Texas and running in the Summer gets them absolutely soaked. I don't own the Suuntos yet, but they look like they cover the waterproofing issue and look cool. Maybe they are worth the extra price when you consider they come with a portable power bank?

Same here, I have two pairs of Shokz OpenRun and never considered the OpenRun Pro because they are IP55. I need IPX7. I'm considering upgrading to the Suunto Wing because of the slightly longer runtime and power bank: a nifty solution for multi-day ultras and long distance running in general.

Question for Mike. You said these weren't class leading. What is the class leader? Pen Pro? Great video.

I bought a pair and sent it back one week later. They are fine when you ride your bike or run in a very quite environment. But the moment you have ambient noise from cars passing you, it’s pretty much over. The settings Normal and Outdoor provide nothing to improve the volume. Bose Frame glasses are much better in this respect.

Thanks for the review, I currently have the common OpenRun and they are not multi-device or dual connection. Specifically I want to connect them to the cell phone and the Fenix 7x, but they only allow one at a time. Can these Suunto or others you know have dual mode or does it depend on the BT version?

The Suunto are dual connection so can connect to two devices at the same time.
