Swedish built 540 engine will try imco-2 for next season the -3 with spacer is not working good (to much slip when trimmed out) running 92.5 GPS MPH in film.
I have always loved the 22' Donzi. You can be in a marina filled with multimillion dollar boats and everyone will stop and stare at a Donzi. Very wet ride but who cares.
+Joshua M I think its because average folk can afford a 22 classic, not many are going to drop 100 plus grand on a gas guzzling behemoth, so it's hard to associate and dream about something so out of reach and absurd. With todays fuel prices who wants to spend 700 bucks just to take the family to the beach?
I have a Donzi Black Hawk with a 502 .030 over good heads and a 8-71 roots blower on it and its making around 650 HP. I am going to bump the pitch in the prop next year I should be in the 32 to 33" area and then step up the boost a little and possibly get the methanol injection system dialed in. The boat will run high 70s mph and the engine is feeling zero load. The issue I am having and it needs to get worked out before andy supercharger work is the boat feels like its on pins and needles when getting near the top, I am not going to say unstable but I have to be VERY careful or so it feels and I sure dont want to see what "unstable" really means? I am running stock Donzi tabs right now and have heard from a few people they suck and maybe thats my whole problem?
600+ or more. 496 HO 425 HP is 72-74, 525 EFI gets you 80-82, ..never seen a 600sci or even a 575sci in one, but have seen 502's and 496 HO's with roots style blowers pushing 600+ hp...really need an extension box and the big mercruiser K planes to stabilize at that speed and blueprint rocker in the bottom of the hull to get there ...the Blackhawk had the rocker in the hull bottom from the factory and the Blackhawk drive could get you to 80 on a stock 502 EFI magnum with 415 HP, conditions perfect, all in the drive, but more horsepower didn't always do what you wanted...the x dimension and a symphony of technical prowess to get above 90 and a hell of a driver with loads of seat time in that boat..they're fun as hell at 80 and really don't need to be pushed further than that.
@@autk Thanks very much TK 4 a very decent response. Xcellent. Instead of " K Planes " l would probably go twin supercharged small blocks around the 441 cu inch mark , only because l am thinking that may/might take out the need 4 the ultra ugly " K Planes " in saying that u /I would want 2 chat with someone who has extensive knowledge of this Hull . 90 MPH, no way great video, but maybe kilometers, not MPH, I don't call a chicken a duck either. Sorry to burst your bubble. My boat does 72 MPH on GPS. Not even close to 90
I bet Poseidon shivers down his spine when he hears a Donzi roaring down the ocean
All the big mega boats with 5 or 6 engines are cute; this Donzi is the Boss!
Bad ass old school loud and fast usn flight deck 73 74 Vietnam era love it

Fuel is typically a very small percentage of the cost of owning-running a boat.
My 15’ Boston whaler would would knock that thing the FUCK OUT if boats could fight. The donzi would probably run away though

Do you think it's slower? I was in that boat today witnessing a speed record for it, 98,3 mph!^^
It was amazing. :O
With no blower you ain't doing over 75
Do these hulls handle as bad as they say? Kno a lot of work has to be done to the bottom to run high speeds
Okey. I´m running Bravo 1 x. with Imco-2 lower.
What kind of power does it have? And are you interested in selling it? Very seriously
nice
i think it is!
Immagine getting beat buy a guy in a allison with a stock 200xs....

@@Robert-mn8gc Great boats
They are beautiful and nostalgic
BUT now the average used old bass boat can run in the 90s with old 2 stroke 250s
I thought the Sweds only built Volvos and Saabs lol
That's built in Florida
@@wadecartwright4277 yes, Sarasota to be exact. I’ve toured the factory years ago. I was just being sarcastic with the Volvo reference lol
Now the speed is 100.7 MPH > /watch?v=clQPWsgydrA&feature=youtu.be
Björn Carapi - where are you running? Stockholm area?
And now it's over 112!
why is there water coming out the exhaust pipe?
boat motor - water cooled, including the exhaust risers.
Guess you're not a boater :)
he is sinking thats why he has to go so fast
Alright who cares. He's trying to learn something. I'm sure theres plenty of thinks he knows more about than you.@@giacomopasquale2707

He's got a verified speedrecord now on this boat at 112,6 miles/hour.

It's at 112.6 mph now. Maybe go back and work on your boat bud.
There's one out there , that's running a 112 that l have watched on UA-cam & they have a live stream of the GPS .
@@signoresantinoburnett1169Show it on the GPS I'm running 85 on Alder lake Washington I want to see what you can do GPS prove it

Minx
get rid off that drive and stick an arneson surface drive and your donzi will jump to speed of light
