A mid fade mohawk is similar to this but definitely not grown out. Sounds like you’re gonna have trouble anyway if all your local guys cut is high and tights 🤦🏻♂️
As a Mohawk person who has a lot of old photos and drawings made by my ancestors for reference, and has a traditional mohawk cut myself, i still find it looks off/odd on people who arent Native American, just like how white people with dreads look very odd, but you got some serious skills man, and if people want to get mohawks i aint gonna hate on them for it, i just got my own opinin

At least people around you can do that, my country has gone completely nuts with this political correctness bullshit and if someone as a white person has dreadlocks etc etc they are accused of "Cultural appropriation". Already happened that a singer was cancelled for an event because she had dreadlocks and that would be racist towards black folks. Like seriously, I can't stand that. At least you are ok with people having specific styles even if you think it is odd, this is how it should be. Just shaved my hair into a mohawk a few days ago because I was always curious about how I might look with one and I'm sure someone around here would have been offended by it. Turns out I look great with a mohawk and I think I'm going to keep one in the future but for now I had to shave my head to look presentable on a social event.
