@@werdnax4981 I didn't even know this was possible with Blender 😲. Thanks you! Now that I know, the only thing left imo is a proper shader that incorporates specular IOR.
This is incredible. I’ve recently purchased pure skies and physical starlight and atmosphere add-ons and although they can yield nice results they are both heavy and cumbersome and I doubt I’ll be using them. I wish I’d seen this sooner, it really demonstrates what you can do with just standard tools if you know how and experiment. Thank you a million times.
This is the most useful sky texturing method. I have been trying to set up a scene, but was having issues with clouds being too much for my GPU. Great job!
This is amazing!! I didn't know you could make such a natural and great looking sky completely inside Blender shaders without any other add-ons! Thanks so much for this tutorial, it's awesome!
I'm not in front of my computer now, but on the new noise texture there's a new drop down list, by default it's set to something fBM, change that to another one Hetero Terrain. I think it's the last one in the list. Edit: made names accurate.
thank you so much , exactly what i wated straight to the point, also can you please show how to add a distant city in the background like endless buildings or mountains
Excellent tutorial, thank you! Pacing, explanation, instructions and length are spot on. IMO this is a benchmark for any: "How do I do this?" tutorial.
Amazing tutorial, thank you. I understand this is a couple years old, so maybe this isn't relevant but I did copy your settings for the sky texture, but I don't get the bloom effect from the sun. I've tried messing with the settings but can't seem to figure out how to make it like that. If you or anyone else in the comments knows what's wrong, I appareciate the help !
I just changed the Device from asio to SPDIF-out (soft blaster z) TNice tutorials improved the soft quality dramatically. I tNice tutorialnk tNice tutorials did the trick!
This is amazing and work really well! Thanks very much. Do you have any idea how to set the color of clouds? It seems that gray or almost black is interpreted as transparent
SICK TUTORIAL MAN. you should do more. like cities and stuff. and if you blow up keep your content just the way it is. super simple and easy to understand
This is super helpful, more people should see it. The clouds trick with musgrave texture is sick! Thanks for spreading knowledge!

On the new version blender musgrave texture has been removed. You can replaced musgrave texture to "noise texture" with different settings
I'm not in front of my computer now, but on the new noise texture there's a new drop down list, by default it's set to something fBM, change that to another one Hetero Terrain. I think it's the last one in the list.
