We fix a broken alarm on the Land Rover Discovery 3 for under £20. Dealer wanted £900!

After swapping out every actuator on the Discovery 3s doors I finally pinpointed the cause of my ghost alarm issue to the bonnet switch latch. It's an easy swap out and the part is under £20. If you've got a similar problem with open bonnet notifications randomly popping up on the dash and your alarm going off randomly, this could be the fix for you!

I got sick of it, snipped the plug off and joined and weather-proofed the wire, never a problem again

Have you changed the alarm sounder on this yet ? same part is used on my V60 and is a common fault on the platforms shared while under Ford ownership (part i have is a "LR part" and is working perfectly)
