Basic Ledger & Pop-Up For Pike Fishing

- On a recent session (of which was in the last video) I filmed how I set up and use Ledgering tactics for Pike Fishing. I don't use the Ledger approach as much as I once did, opting to go with Float Fishing (my preferred method) . Ledgering is a great way to fish big waters, fish overnigthers, relax while the alarms and inidcators do the work for you I guess, great also on windy or rainly days when watching a float can be a pain. Most anglers in this day and age, own bite alarms and a form of carp rod to get started, however its worth when getting into Pike Fishing to own the correct gear that's up to the job! I show you what I use and how I use it!

Some videos are so good, you come back to them; time and time again.
I have lure fished for years. I had a limited understanding of dead baiting. I remain a novice but I’m learning. This remains my ‘go to video’.

Good sound solid advice for the beginner. To be honest a video showing how to unhook these delicate fish and I think beginners will have everything they need to get on the bank. Have enjoyed all of your videos to date. Keep up the good work and tight lines for the winter season 👍

Good instruction. Thanks for this video. I love spinning for Pike but need to get out more this winter and fish Bassenthwaite lake. This is a great lesson in using my Carp tackle to fish for pike.

Well done mate nice video used to pike fish a lot back in the day mainly carp fish now but I’m fishing a new lake with good pike as well as carp so happy days . Loved the pop up rig always fished mine popped up. Any way good video mate 👍👍👍👍👍👍

I’m totally new at pike fishing can I ask what that 3 ounce lead is I’m totally new I only carp fish and I need a good dead bait rig to put on my alarms this week
any 3 once lead is ok to use shape wise, dont over think it, so long as its free running, like a boom or run ring...
