Hey Dasi, I am also a viewer from Scotland, near Perth so it is nice to see a really good Scottish detailing channel. I actually use a lot of the products that you do, and I noticed that you put in a lot of the polar blast concentrate and then filled the rest of the bottle up with water. I tend to do around 125ml of polar blast to 550ml of water and it manages to get really good thick foam. Of course I appreciate there may be a reason to you doing it how you do it, but I thought just to comment and maybe save you some money! Keep up the great work and looking forward to the exciting new content that im sure will be coming soon.

I can say that that's a job made for me. I love to clean 😂 it just give me this pleasure at the end that until now I can't compare with anything else. Maybe it'll be a good idea to start doing this
@@emrefifty5281 that’s a shame. I know they have been quite bad for rust but it’s not driven much in the winter due to being rear wheel so think it may have avoided a lot of the grit as it’s not very rusty at all

My advice would be to start with a softer pad and practice on a small area with a good amount of light so you can see the progress and work up if needed 👍🏻. Can I ask where you bought the polisher and what type of pad/polish you plan on using?

I have never seen or used that polar blast stuff before. Does it always have to be connected to a power wash hose? Can you use it just out of the bottle with a bucket of water?
Unfortunately I think it’s specifically for foam canons (but may be wrong on that). You can pick up a karcher k2 for less than £100 if you’re interested in getting one. It’s really good👍🏻

You’re very welcome! It is an IPA panel wipe from gtechniq, it’s use to remove any remaining polishing compound before you apply the wax/sealant/ceramic coat so it can bond properly to the clear coat 👍🏻

Nice job man. I hate to say my 2003 mercedes c class is in really bad shape as well. But its silver and not as noticable. I did a rust repair but the paint didnt turn out to great so I'll have to go at it again when it warms up. My sister has a black car that's brand new and and you already see swirls etc. I'm constantly waxing it and saying dont do automatic washes lol.

Lol Depends on how dirty it is? Would it make a good “disaster detail” video? Yeah it is a bit of work but after it’s done you can top it up every 3-6 months with their flex wax spray to make the coating last even longer 👍🏻

Hazard of living in Scotland 😂 it’s going to be around £20 a bottle I believe but well worth it considering how little you need to use. You’d be lucky if I used a 10th of the bottle to coat that hoofing big car lol
I use turtle wax hybrid solutions ceramic polish and hybrid solutions ceramic spray to wash my car I use hybrid solutions was and wax then hybrid solutions wet wax, what is better out of the hybrid solutions the stuff I use or the new Pro line
I have watch atleast 50 or so detailers I know your style is different but u should clean the wheels with different brushes and scrub the tyres any way amazing job

I purchased their tyre cleaner recently, so good. What did you use as your panel wipe. I use Angelwax stripped Ease.

@@DaveRebuilds That is cool.. It will also get you so much more leads in the searches here on youtube or even on google. You know lets be honest, there is not 100.000's of people out there who sits down and search for car detailing only :D But a car like this, might be interesting to a lot of car nerds. There will be like 10 times as many searches on w211 and even 100 times as many searches on Mercedes.. And by including some answers like: It it worth it (the detail) and so, people will get the attention on your video and there own perspective and purpose for watching these kind of videos. The algorithm works by answering (related) questions (recommendations) to peoples search terms ;)
True, but it will last up to 12 months if you top it up with the flex wax, so I kinda considered it a coating? Apologies if that assumption was wrong 👍🏻
@@DaveRebuilds I guess depends on how you look at it! Coatings are usually a clear liquid, that once applied, set like glass, chemically bonding to the paint and forming a 'shield' for the car. Waxes are soft and are a lot easier to degrade or remove :)
Lighting let’s your videos down in my opinion. I was going to turn it off but watched to the end and when you took the car out it showed it to its best potential.
Yeah I agree, the lighting in the garage is something that I’m working on at the moment. It’s also not helped by my main camera being broken so a lot of the footage was captured on my iphone so can’t control the brightness as well in edit. Hopefully have my main camera back soon from repair 👍🏻. Thanks for watching to the end, much appreciated 😃👍🏻
Lol. Yeah but unlike normal wax, it lasts up to 12 months like a ceramic coat so it’s worth the little bit (maybe slightly more than a little😉) more effort 👍🏻

Our 2004 e-class had massive problems with the abs system and the power braking apparatus. Got totaled because of it. Piece of trash engineering.

If your talking about the scratch removal, it’s permanent. The super slick, glossy finish should last about 12 months if maintained correctly 👍🏻

You know lets be honest, there is not 100.000's of people out there who sits down and search for car detailing only :D But a car like this, might be interesting to a lot of car nerds. There will be like 10 times as many searches on w211 and even 100 times as many searches on Mercedes.. And by including some answers like: It it worth it (the detail) and so, people will get the attention on your video and there own perspective and purpose for watching these kind of videos. The algorithm works by answering (related) questions (recommendations) to peoples search terms ;)

Great video, but its a bit misleading, this isnt a coating it's a wax.
True, but it will last up to 12 months if you top it up with the flex wax, so I kinda considered it a coating? Apologies if that assumption was wrong 👍🏻
@@DaveRebuilds I guess depends on how you look at it! Coatings are usually a clear liquid, that once applied, set like glass, chemically bonding to the paint and forming a 'shield' for the car. Waxes are soft and are a lot easier to degrade or remove :)

Lighting let’s your videos down in my opinion. I was going to turn it off but watched to the end and when you took the car out it showed it to its best potential.
Yeah I agree, the lighting in the garage is something that I’m working on at the moment. It’s also not helped by my main camera being broken so a lot of the footage was captured on my iphone so can’t control the brightness as well in edit. Hopefully have my main camera back soon from repair 👍🏻. Thanks for watching to the end, much appreciated 😃👍🏻

Lol. Yeah but unlike normal wax, it lasts up to 12 months like a ceramic coat so it’s worth the little bit (maybe slightly more than a little😉) more effort 👍🏻
