Great review!! I’m in the market for a new tv with all the Black Friday prices going on. I have an old 2016 LG 65UH6030. The Sony X90L pricing caught my eye for an 85”. But then a lot of reviews were saying the Bravia 7 was a worthwhile upgrade, and then I was pulled into looking at the LG C4 and the LG B4. As you can see my pricing has started creeping up from my initial $1,799 target price. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions? I figure anything will be better than my 65UH6030 IPS panel, but at least the viewing angels are good 😅
I was thinking the B4 seemed to have a lot of the performance of the C4 but when I went to check prices I was surprised that at 55" it was only $100 cheaper (Best Buy USA). What is the point of having 2 models so close in price? If you're already spending over $1000, $100 isn't that much. Seems like LG should do more to keep the B4 price down and separate it from the C4. Also the brightness drop in game mode on the C4, is that something that could be fixed with a software update?
B4 has the A8 processor which is a few years old. The C4 has the A9 processor which is in the C3, widely regarded as the best bang for your buck TV of 2023/24. If you can still find C3 stock at sub $1000, get one of those all day long.
Does anyone know if the issue of losing brightness and colors on the C4 when activating game mode was solved by an update??? . I want to buy one for this Black Friday but I can't decide because of this same problem that the TV has. Greetings
Thank you for the excellent review! I'm really curious about the 48 inch version of each of these TVs - the B4, C4, and S 90. Especially because it seems like the Samsung in this size uses a WOLED panel? So I would be curious, which one would be best for computer monitor/computer gaming use.
There shouldn't be any difference between B2 and C2 longevity. Technically speaking C2 should have burn-in more quickly than B2, since the C2 is 18 percent more nits. Unless the C2 has better cooling than B2.
I am looking to get a new tv and I can get a great deal on a C4 right now but I can't get over the green tint people are saying. I can't hep but think the 28 degree angle in which it starts to come into effect is a very small angle. That is like a three seat couch and being on either side. Who always sits in the center? Who doesn't love the corners of the couch which to arm rest on? I am totally at a loss how this is acceptable. Maybe I have this all wrong and please correct me if I am wrong. I don't want green tint nor do I think my guests would. Help please... Update - I went to Best Buy to see if I could see the green tint for myself. I was looking at the 65 inch. I looked from all angles back and forth multiple times. I saw no green tint at all. There was a B4 same size and that one I could see the yellows turn green form an and angle near looking across the screen screen from the side. I looked at the S90D as well and I have to say that is a damn good looking tv. In my opinion the color and brightness blew the C4 out of the water! it almost looks 3D in some scenes. Crazy beautiful... The G4 looked great too but for the price the S90D is my pick by far.
My brand new LG C4 has colour non-uniformity issue and noticeable green tint on one side when viewing at ZERO ANGLE. LG customer service told me this problem is normal with their OLED and refused to exchange or refund it. 🙁 I'm so upset by it.

Just got a C4 a few days ago. I would've been willing to get a B4 if they had made it in a 42" size, as I use the TV on my desk as a monitor. I personally think LG should offer all three of the OLED offerings in their main lineup in a 42" and 48" size.

Can you please compare between Sont Bravia 7 and Samsung s90c, I know one is mini led and other is lord but which one should buy if best bang for the buck is the criteria. Thanks
If I use the TV mainly to watch films, sports, etc and occasionally play on my PS5 with it, is it worth getting the C4 for extra money? I work Monday to Friday so the only time I'll use it would be evenings and weekends
For those still contemplating. If any brightness is important to you, do yourself a favor and get the C4. It’s absolutely bright enough. The B4 just didn’t have any “pop” in the picture. It’s beautiful, but just seems dull in comparison.
Strange I have in my country 2 models LG 55C41LA and LG 55B43LA at the same price , and I don t know what to chose and this model LG 55B42LA is more expensive , 200 EURO +
Does anyone know how bright the B4 is compared to the C2? I had the C2 and it was bright enough, if I get the B4 I'd want to know it's not going to be dimmer.
Can anyone recommend for the money LGB4 77 inches or Sony Bravia 7 75 inches? For my master bedroom? Most use will be for movies and shows watched over streaming apps.

i also did the same, The showroom in my area does not have oled tv in display, and i think i have never seen an OLED display . Only seen on youtube reviews on my 600$ work laptop. Hi guys, you should update old written reviews that still say the PS5 doesn't support 1440p, like the QN90A, IIRC. Even changing it to "not checked" would be better and well, not a "lie" 😁😁 cheers!
No idea why rtings continue to constantly hail S90D without mentioning it still suffers from very questionable build quality and panel lottery at all but US regions. If you are not in NA - your S90D will likely be pricier AND likely be WOLED.

I forget you rate 65 or 77" panels normally. You said B4 has a8AI and C4 has a9AI The 83" B4 has a9AI and it lists VRR (Up to 144Hz) I think it's the only size with these two if you had a a8AI B4 I bet it shows much better with 83" B4 with a9AI Still no evo panel on 83" B4 ☹ Current price 83" B4 at $2500 at Costco with 6e wifi and 5yr protection plus i get back around $225 between Costco and CC which beats current LG partner B4 83" cost of $2250 plus $250 for 3 yr protection with 5 wifi and 4 yr total protection.
The game mode loss of brightness is weird. I remember how bad it was on my c7 back in the day but I assumed they did that on purpose to reduce burn in risk when gaming. Why they've limited brightness on the c4 is strange and incredibly frustrating for anyone who bought that tv
Coming from a non-oled tv, I feel for casual gaming, anime, and general streaming I probably wouldn't notice any difference at all? Leaning more towards the B4 to save a little money, but still on the fence!
When you get the LG OLEDs with the gun metal pedestal base to test, are you regularly able to get the screws in to the base and the stand? I'm on my 2nd base for my C3. First base that came with the TV, the stand didn't sit flush level in the base meaning the screw holes didn't match up correctly (the screws don't strictly need to be put in) and the TV was slightly wonky. 2nd base, the stand fits flush in the base, but the screws won't tighten past half way. Reading online, this seems to be a common problem with LG OLEDs going back years. Has LG ever been made aware of this?
@@jivebunny3765 I suggest you watch a UA-cam video demonstrating how to assemble the stand. You’re evidently doing something wrong. I can see a defect in one case but two times tells me you’re doing something wrong.

not enough of an upgrade as the C4 can only do 144Hz frames over the c3 that is at 120Hz and the Pixel response is still the same @ 0.1 between the two displays. ie buying a new tv for an extra 14 frames and not to mention the c3 is has the ability to run so bright I have to tune it down to 50% of pixel brightness to not fry my eyes and or have to use sun glasses to feel comfortable viewing the display at factor brightness specs. saying all that it takes well over a 2000 dollar GPU to max out the C3 120Hz @ 4096x2160/ the full bandwidth of the HDMI 2.1 using the display for video games.
That can be said about any TV etc.. Why pay more for.. A95L and the G4 is better or so close. S95D and S90D. G4 and C4, S90D. Bravia 9 and G4. S90D and C4. 990D and the 930D. Its a choice. If you work out cost to screen size more top models are not worth it. But that's our choice. Great work let's see the Soundbars 990D v 990C v 930D. As the 930D is half the price.
I think WebOS is the best operating system but I agree the app support is too limited. Fortunately there are a number of inexpensive streaming devices on the market.

Just buy a hdmi cable with an angle 😉😊
@@R1CHARD82. mm not for me. Less options, less reliable cables, things might not fit... And the other ports might be problematic as well - LAN for example, which I also plan to use
Are you saying b4 doesn't have earc port?
@@athiffaraz3117 no that is not what i mean 🙂
Yeah well we know the C4 has a buggy game mode, but we also know the screen is brighter, when you simply don't use game mode. Is the same true for the B4?
Does anyone know if the issue of losing brightness and colors on the C4 when activating game mode was solved by an update??? . I want to buy one for this Black Friday but I can't decide because of this same problem that the TV has. Greetings
Hi can you review the LG 55 inch QNED 80TSA 2024 i have plans to buy this tv?
B4 does not have 42" option, so that automatically removes B4 as an option if I want to buy it as a not-so-huge monitor replacement.
Be big or go home. Get that 48inch & it’s only 799 right now the 48 inch B4
@@BurkJordan69 Now the 48" B4 is only 650 on best buy lol
Can you please compare between Sont Bravia 7 and Samsung s90c, I know one is mini led and other is lord but which one should buy if best bang for the buck is the criteria. Thanks
They have this c4 55inch brand new for 1074 plus tax should I get it is that a good deal ???
Listen which one is best for BATTLEFIELD games that’s the one I’m getting ps5 pro
What about LG C4 vs PHILIPS 809 ???
I love these comparison videos. Thanks Cedric.
Really miss hearing him say the word "judder". Gets me every time!
bravia 2 s25b or samsung qe1d qled 55 inch which is better
If I use the TV mainly to watch films, sports, etc and occasionally play on my PS5 with it, is it worth getting the C4 for extra money? I work Monday to Friday so the only time I'll use it would be evenings and weekends
I would say no, unless your room is pretty brightly lit when you are watching or gaming in HDR.
For those still contemplating. If any brightness is important to you, do yourself a favor and get the C4. It’s absolutely bright enough. The B4 just didn’t have any “pop” in the picture. It’s beautiful, but just seems dull in comparison.
there is a $500 difference between B4 vs C4 and B4 vs S90. I went for B4 because I don't want HDR high def movies.
LG website shows the same processor for B4 and C4 and also 144Hz for both
only for the 83'' i though...
Love these guys and I love FOMO
Can B4 be overclocked to 144hz? Is there any mods available?
You guys didn’t mention the difference in sound quality of the built-in speakers.
It's only dimmer with HDR. For SDR and game mode there is almost no difference.
Can anyone recommend for the money LGB4 77 inches or Sony Bravia 7 75 inches? For my master bedroom? Most use will be for movies and shows watched over streaming apps.
Sony Bravia 7 & LG C4 which one better tell me ma'am
Love from. India 🇮🇳❤️
Sony Bravia 8 has LG woled panel from LG OLED B4 series
@@СНСАЛЕКСАНДАРВУЧИЋThe Sony B7 is a LCD television with a VA panel. SMH.
Is b4 still use wbc?
I bought the C4 48” yesterday. I could have bought the B4 48” for $200 less at Best Buy. I opted for the brighter HD picture. I’m pretty blown away by the tv but now wonder if I should have saved the money 😅
Then you should watch my ”Your LG C4 OLED settings are DEAD WRONG!?” video, you will thank me later 😎👍
i also did the same, The showroom in my area does not have oled tv in display, and i think i have never seen an OLED display . Only seen on youtube reviews on my 600$ work laptop. I went all out in my situation extended budget twice the initial budget for getting good tv for myself and ended up buying c4 55 inches. now hoping it would do ateast required thing great that is movies and series and anime. also wondering if b4 was really that far behind since i didnt think much about it
@@mindbuster121431 nice 😎
Thanks! now I have to decide between 55 or 65 b4 😅
I'm thinking the b4 is best for me. I game in almost complete darkness.
As any respectable vampire should, respect.
LG C4 42 inches VS LG B4 48 inches please 🙏
Most likely will get a C4 on black friday

No idea mate, bought a B4 as it was 719€ compared to 1099€ for the c4
@GunzBlazing94 Thank you very much for answering me, in the end I am between C4 and Samsung S90D. All the best
Does the Smart OS for streaming services bother anyone?
I forget you rate 65 or 77" panels normally. You said B4 has a8AI and C4 has a9AI
The 83" B4 has a9AI and it lists VRR (Up to 144Hz) I think it's the only size with these two
if you had a a8AI B4 I bet it shows much better with 83" B4 with a9AI
Still no evo panel on 83" B4 ☹
Current price 83" B4 at $2500 at Costco with 6e wifi and 5yr protection plus i get back around $225 between Costco and CC
which beats current LG partner B4 83" cost of $2250 plus $250 for 3 yr protection with 5 wifi and 4 yr total protection.
The game mode loss of brightness is weird. I remember how bad it was on my c7 back in the day but I assumed they did that on purpose to reduce burn in risk when gaming. Why they've limited brightness on the c4 is strange and incredibly frustrating for anyone who bought that tv
I definitely like the S90D more 😊
no dolby vision though? :S
@ but outstanding HDR
Best uhd4k tv 43 inch in mid range with ips panel
Coming from a non-oled tv, I feel for casual gaming, anime, and general streaming I probably wouldn't notice any difference at all? Leaning more towards the B4 to save a little money, but still on the fence!
You got a few more hours. It wont be 599 tomorrow.
@@thelightahead4810 ?
@@xSirFC if you're thinking of the 48 inch that's 600 at best buy, the sale ends shortly.
LG B4 48 is only $650 on Best Buy. $350 cheaper than the LG C4 48 inch.
I saw that, it's a great deal that I considered but honestly 48" is just too small for a TV, and also too large for a monitor.
Boost mode os broken now on the b5 with a ps5
oh, great review btw... got carried away during my previous post
Sounds like you’re doing something wrong. I assembled a number of C3/C4 stands and never had an issue.
@@johnb4905 The illustrations are borderline gibberish, but I think I know how to put screws in holes.
@@jivebunny3765 I suggest you watch a UA-cam video demonstrating how to assemble the stand. You’re evidently doing something wrong. I can see a defect in one case but two times tells me you’re doing something wrong.

not enough of an upgrade as the C4 can only do 144Hz frames over the c3 that is at 120Hz and the Pixel response is still the same @ 0.1 between the two displays. ie buying a new tv for an extra 14 frames and not to mention the c3 is has the ability to run so bright I have to tune it down to 50% of pixel brightness to not fry my eyes and or have to use sun glasses to feel comfortable viewing the display at factor brightness specs. saying all that it takes well over a 2000 dollar GPU to max out the C3 120Hz @ 4096x2160/ the full bandwidth of the HDMI 2.1 using the display for video games.
my LG c9 is still a killer tv. Not upgrading until it dies.

Damn. 77" b4 for $1596 or 77" c4 for $1999. The $400 worth the upgrade?
Abby is a great reviewer.
As the 930D is half the price.
qd oled gives me headaches.
I REALLY wish Samsung wasn't the only brand that offered low input lag motion smoothing in Game Mode... It's the ONLY TV brand I know of that has it.
Is there a way to turn off the dimming in game mode?
Quick update bin the bravia 7 as well...trash!
Beautiful
The truth about LG tvs is that the webOS doesn’t have all the apps you’re looking for like the Sportsnet app, the NBA app for example
So 2 apps I don’t care about. Cool.
I think WebOS is the best operating system but I agree the app support is too limited. Fortunately there are a number of inexpensive streaming devices on the market.
